Turning your life around? Coming out of a funk? Getting over a breakup? Need to reignite your spark for life? Need to feel in control? Want a boost of confidence? Dealing with low self esteem?
Where to start:
Exercise every day
Skincare + makeup of personal preference (yes this includes not wearing makeup at all if that is your personal preference)
Hair done
Showered and moisturized
At least one hobby you engage with on a daily/frequent basis
At least one skill you are developing on a daily/frequent basis
If you haven’t gotten a 7 day workout streak and completed the other bullet points on this list yet, stop moaning, get to work, and kill your distractions.
This is level 0.

how to brain dump like a pro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
what you need
a messy notebook (I like the Leuchturm bullet ones)
a pen
a beverage for emotional support (or several <3)
how to get started
grab your notebook, and sit down in a quiet moment with enough time so you won't stress even more. The point of a brain dump is to unload all your thoughts, everything that is stressing you is put to paper. not aesthetically, no cutesy Pinterest vibes; we need it plain, unromanticised, and personal.
some prompts to get you going
do I have any deadlines coming up?
have I been making time for myself and my hobbies?
what projects, tasks, appointments, and/ or plans are currently stressing me out?
am I procrastinating anything?
am I properly looking after myself? (mental/physical health, skincare, hobbies, school/work, etc etc)
am I currently working through any challenges, and if yes how is that going so far?
how are my friends/relationships doing?
is there an area in my life that I should prioritise right now?
do I feel confident and comfortable at the moment?
Review and reflect
take some time and go over your writing; you can underline or highlight the points that you find most important. make this whole "brain dump" thing a routine; sometimes it takes a bit of writing until you actually get comfortable with putting your emotions onto paper (it sounds easier than it is..), but the more often you do this, the more comfortable you will get!! <3
As always, please feel free to share your own suggestions and tips in the comments! <3

Fandom Tumblr, Do Your Thing
Tumblr media
Mutuals, strangers, people I've force-friended by making silly fanart of your posts. Lend me your ears for like, ten seconds.
For less than the price of a cup of coffee (or for free!!) I will personally send you a custom piece of hand drawn one-of-a-kind art. So long as you give me a reference image of some kind, I will draw just about anything.* For you. At no cost. And I will send it to you in the mail, aka the coolest way to get art. All you have to do is:
1.Donate to @phoen1xr0se's mutual aid fund for housing for her and her two kids!
2.DM me a screenshot of your receipt
3.Provide me with your address** and your drawing prompt
4.Wait for your art to arrive:)
OR
1.Reblog this post. You can literally just reblog this post. When her fundraiser is completed, I will pick 2-5 blogs from the notes (depending on how many rbs I get) to send you art completely for free. If you get picked, I will get in contact to get your information.
Full information, terms, conditions, et cetera, are further down. Please do read them before sending money.
~~~
Laura, aka PhoenixRose, is a mutual of mine and an incredible writer. She's a total sweetheart, and she's kind of adopted a lot of the Good Omens fandom and has really been a light in the community. She is unable to work due to cancer, so this fundraiser is to help ensure that her family has a safe and stable place to live. You can find out more about her lovely family and situation at the link or on her page<3
Rules and stuff: I live in the united states, so international shipping is a bit pricy. As such, the minimum to redeem a postcard is £5 for US addresses and £10 for all other addresses, in UK currency, with proof of payment in UK or your local currency. Higher donation amounts will get you more effort into your art, and for any donations over £50 I will break out the paints. You can click here to see some of the fanart I've done recently, though my higher quality original art doesn't usually end up on my blog so it may be a bit skewed as to representing my skill level. That said, I am an artist in the loosest sense of the term and really only do this for fun. Please don't expect professional results. Additionally, I am receiving no money whatsoever for this (stamps are out of my pocket), and it's important to me that you know that. I've already donated all I can afford to, so this is my broke bitch way of helping out a little more. If you get picked to get art for free, your dms will need to be turned on so I can reach you. If I am unable to get in contact with you via DMs or asks, that will be considered a forfeit.
*I really will draw just about anything, including characters, ocs, animals, your pets, your friends, your fursona, etc. No explicit NSFW please, suggestive is okay. I reserve the right to ask you to pick something different if the prompt makes me uncomfortable or is offensive in any way.
**I want to keep your information as safe as possible. As such, if you're not comfortable sending over dms I can provide you with my email address to send the information to. I am also open to sending it digital if you are in a position where you cannot currently receive physical mail or are uncomfortable doing so. All messages, emails, etc with personal information will be deleted as soon as your mail is on its way.
Wake up and open your curtains. Your windows too.
Drink some tea or coffee, whatever pleases you. Notice every sip.
Have some fresh fruit and finish breakfast feeling full.
Stand outside and feel the air. Cool or warm, it will make you feel real.
Get some exercise. Yoga to soothe, running to breathe, lifting for strength.
Take care of your body. Have a nice shower and pamper as much as you want afterward.
If you’re going to work, remember you have the chance to make anyone’s day or to ruin it. Act accordingly.
Weed out the bad language. It’s only creating tension in your body and mind. Kind words are infinitely more appreciated.
Take some time each day to improve your mind. Keep reading that great book. Listen to an incredible piece of music. Practice an instrument or a skill. The progress is its own reward.
Pictures will help you remember how wonderful life is. But spend less time on your phone and more time seeing the world face to face.
Go to sleep knowing that you have done well. Tomorrow is there with room to become even better.
-Notes to myself on how to become a better person this summer.
Best Butters, Essential and Carrier Oils for Skin (Stretch Mark Prone, Eczema Prone, etc)
Essential Oils (should be mixed with a carrier oil, because if used alone, can cause irritation…especially on broken skin.)
I tend to put my oil mixtures in applicator bottles or glass bottles with droppers…either or works for me.
*DISCLAIMER: I am not a dermatologist. This is what works for me and may work for you.*
My skin is extremely sensitive and stretch mark prone. I have no explanation as to why my skin is so sensitive, but I do know that stretch marks are hereditary and also occur more often on my skin because I yo-yo a lot with my weight.
I started developing stretch marks when I was around 12. They first appeared on my developing chest. I went from an A cup to a B cup in one year. That following year, my breasts grew to DD. My stretch marks were dark and really messed with my self-confidence. I never wore clothing that showed my stretch marks on my chest until I got older. I massage my body with lotion or body butter to help moisturize my skin. I moisturize straight out the shower to lock in as much moisture as possible (I keep a bottle of oil in my shower to rub into my skin once I turn the water off). Although, I have developed more stretch marks as I get older, my skin routine aids in reducing their appearance. I’ve tried many products for stretch marks and never saw any improvements. The more natural the product, the better it works on my skin.
Exercising (such as swimming and jogging), drinking liquids (such as water and tea), exfoliation (super important! helps with circulation which prevents stretch marks or improves the appearance), and tanning (during the summer) helped improve the appearance of my stretch marks.
Here’s a picture of how my stretch marks look on my breasts currently (no filters):
My stretch marks are still visible of course, but they are much lighter than they used to be.
***I have single handily tried all these oils and incorporate them all into my skin routine. I did a lot of research before purchasing every single one, so here’s my list…(it’ll save you time searching on multiple sites):
