Klaus Mikaelson is a fascinating character to me because he will spend entire episodes talking about how powerful an dangerous he is and bragging about how many people he's killed
But the minute he has a reason to blame someone else for his behavior Joseph Morgan gives Emmy-deserving performances where he attempts to cry his way into sympathy by blaming Mikael/Elijah/Esther for everything he's ever done in his life
Unfortunately there are people who take him seriously when he does that and that's why I stick to my little corner of the internet

Thoughts on Camis's dark transition and the general confusion or feeling of betrayal that the fandom experienced on behalf of themselves and Klaus.
Tumblr media
During seasons 1 to 3, Camille is introduced as this intelligent, innocent, brave human.
The one thing Cami doesn't have is a clue that she is part of a crazy family legacy of protecting the people of New Orleans by dealing with the supernatural. And she becomes involved with that world the moment she catches Klaus and Marcel's eyes.
As she navigates this new world, we learn that Cami is, as Aurora would say, far from being 'an innocent ray of sunshine.' She carried a darkness within her, battling dark urges that she struggled to keep in check. This inner conflict led her to pursue psychology, hoping to grasp the complexities of the human mind and her dark impulses, which become easier to understand when she talks about the guy she assaulted at the university and how she enjoyed hurting him.
According to Aurora, Camille was drawn to Klaus, among other reasons, because of his darkness, and we as viewers know that she was able to partly relate to Klaus because she'd experienced great tragedy and loss in her life too.
When we first met her, Cami believed her twin brother (a part of her) had gone on a violent rampage, killing several people before taking his own life. She confided in Klaus about the nightmares that haunted her, fearing that Sean's demons might one day consume her as well. She was plagued by grief and guilt for not noticing the signs to help her brother.
The night Klaus and Cami met, at the painting, her explanation of the painter
"He's angry. Dark. Doesn't feel safe and doesn't know what to do about it. He wishes he could control his demons instead of having his demons control him. He's lost, alone."
Was about her. Cami was talking about her feelings and her struggle.
It was not about him. She had no idea who Klaus was, and up to that moment she had exchanged with him a look, an order, and a smile.
She was in that spot, lost in the painter's movements, because something on that piece spoke to her. It so happened that what she said about herself perfectly reflected Klaus in that particular moment and in general (the heated Original Hybrid).
Now that we have established the canon background of her character, let's talk about her dark vampire era and see if we can relate.
She was compelled to drink Aurora's blood, slit her throat, and silently bleed to death next to a sleeping Klaus. Vampirism was forced on her because she fell in love with the "wrong" guy.
See those words: compelled, forced. She was deprived of decisions and autonomy over her life and body by Klau's ex. And almighty Klaus—in his desperation yes—did everything he could to push her into completing the transition. He even admitted that "I'm just going to have to risk you never forgiving me. I'll never forgive myself if I let you die."
At the end of the day, Cami did choose to feed and complete her transition. Thinking that with this new power, she could do good. She could help and protect the innocent.
Although she never killed anyone or turned into a ripper. In fact, for someone who completed the transition by drinking blood directly from a human vein. Cami was able to stop, went to the mansion, loaded up a cooler with blood supplies, and returned to her apartment to continue her meal. But like all baby vampires, the moment she fed, she became reliant on blood. Her life was irrevocably altered. To survive, she had to consume human blood, which shifted her entire perception of herself.
And because what better way to deal with someone who was stripped of all control over his life, Klaus put her in protective confinement in the compound and not her apartment.
At this point, Camis's emotions are all over the place. She is not sure who she is; the volume in her life is turned on, and she can't hear herself think. And everything feels so good, but it's all happening at once… and Klaus is not helping… He is trying to teach her, but his expectations of her are high. He keeps reminding her that what he does and what she does are not the same thing. He points out that she acts in a way that her human self would not approve of. In a way that he does not approve. Because it isn't her. But Cami doesn't know who she is now.
She resents the critique, especially because from the moment they met, she always forgave him and always tried to understand him and help him. But he doesn't do the same. He tries to control her. She is disappointed in him and herself.
Did I fail to mention anger? Cami was angry!
The most powerful supernatural being had failed to protect her as a human and continued to let her down as a vampire. Her obsession with reclaiming her dark objects was a frantic attempt to reclaim control and shield herself. And since Klaus's interest was not fading. She was terrified that Aurora would come to finish the job.
So which of her dark actions was unjustified and out of character?
Was the compulsion of the guy at the bar and the feeding of the red-haired girl in the alley different than any other baby vampire would have done? And come to think of it, she defended her colleague against a slimy guy, something she would have done also as a human. As for the redhead, she might have been unconsciously punishing Aurora. My opinion is that she would have stopped as soon as the girl was about to faint.
Yes, she used Klau's feelings to make him drop his guard, and she snapped his neck… and compelled Will to get her dark objects back. Which made Klaus react, antagonizing her.
She used the same weapon she always did, her words, to make him let go of her because next to him, manhandling her, she was powerless. She manipulated Klaus and Hayley. She was cruel and said hurtful things. But one totally stupid thing vamp Cami did: she took the white oak knight. If she had known the consequences, she never would have done it, that's for sure.
And if Klaus and the rest of the Mikaelsons were able to forgive her, you are too!
And give her some slack, guys. Step in her shoes for a moment.
Cami experienced a drastic shift in her life overnight. While she was aware that her life would change the moment she and Klaus crossed that line. She never anticipated the extent of that change.
Just think about it… They were dancing around their feelings, almost. 3 years. Why? Because they both knew the complications and dangers that came with their relationship.
Genevieve blackmailed her to stab Klaus with Papa Tunde's blade. Mikael kidnapped her, Finn approached her to spy on him, and Esther decided to host Rebekah in her body. She was placed in protective custody with an unstable Elijah to escape Finn. Klaus left her for dead to convince Daliah to trust him. Lucien kidnapped her, Aurora kidnapped her, and all those things happened with them being friends….
And yet, both were ready to give in. Because what connected them was more vital than the fears and risks that separated them.
Now imagine being her… Finally giving in to your complicated feelings, asking the man you love to confess his love for you. Sharing that first sweet kiss, that intimate laughter. Going to bed with him, not for sex, not yet, but to enjoy that intimacy and connection that you have both been longing for. Feeling safe and loved in his arms, knowing that you are finally where you belong.
Imagine opening your eyes and seeing him sleeping peacefully beside you, his face relaxed and vulnerable, all walls down. In that moment, all doubts and fears melt away as you realize that he truly loves you and he truly trusts you. You smile because you are happy, not just for you, but for him, for seeing him in peace, because you know he never felt that feeling before.
And then… You remembered that you are compelled to destroy that happiness, to take away that peace. You are to drink her blood and silently slit your throat, bleed to death, and become a vampire yourself. Because his ex believes that he is drawn to your humanity, and one way or another that humanity must die. A part of you, as you feel your life slipping away, hopes that he will hear you and he will save you. Another part is heartbroken because he would wake up to find your dead body next to him, and you know it would break him, and the last, last thought that crosses your mind just before your eyes close and you pass to nothingness is fear of the unknown and regret for losing your chance at a normal life.
Tell me honestly, who could handle all these emotions without breaking? Who would keep their composure, optimism, and empathy intact?
All the transitions we know of in the TVDU were problematic. Some went into a murderous mood, others shut down their humanity, but no one woke up the next day with complete control of their emotions, their powers, and their impulses. But we all expected the boring CF clone, the worst character in the TO, Cami, to manage

Why did Esther needed to kill her kids, if she could just turn them back into humans? They’re abominations because they’re vampires, and shes saying she can reverse the spell that made them this way and make them human again. Why kill them?
I mean I am not dense I get the point, but her literally saying that she’s going to turn them back into humans makes it nonsensical. They should’ve just given here a white oak stake or (if they wanted to keep the tension and length) that the spell she’s making is to recreate a white oak tree
And the writers decided to make that same plot in TO s2 lol

Why did Klaus not compel Katerina to just stay put in 1492? Even if he assumed she would never found out about his plan to sacrifice her, it’s pretty known that humans can be unpredictable. Besides, she could get hurt/killed from anything (even if she was protected)
If I had been as crazy in the head as him and finally found the one person necessary to give me that I believed could make me feel whole; you can bet that I would make sure NOTHING is going to interfere the second she was found
Idk guys Klaus is kinda letting me down on the iniquity there

It’s kind of funny that people keep arguing about which love interest Klaus Mikaelson loved the most when canonically he would have screwed his family over in order to bring Cami O’Connell back from the dead. And knowing him, he would have justified it perfectly.

You know what, as much as I love all the Klamille scenes from 3x19, I do not like how they made her death all about Klaus. All of her friends had to take a step back and lose their chances of saying goodbye while she could still have interacted with them, and that was SO NOT right.
Cami was Klaus’ love interest, and as much as it annoys me to say it, a lot of her arc was wrapped up in Klaus, but she held value as a character outside of him. She supported other characters (Marcel, Davina, Vincent, Hayley) and looked out for them frequently. They were all busy running around trying to find a cure for her, which was important, but the writing did not have to be such that she didn’t get to bid adieu to these friends she loved so much.
To me, this feels like the writers having to compensate for putting so much unnecessary drama in Cami and Klaus’ relationship and never letting them just be happy together for a little while. When the time came for them to kill her off, they had to scramble to put in scenes which would appease angry fans a bit and give their relationship a satisfying conclusion.
We deserved scenes of Cami telling other characters what she wanted them to get from her, not just her saying it all to Klaus. We deserved to see her hear that she meant so much to all of them, because of how much comfort and joy she brought into their lives. Right before she died, she was self-deprecatingly telling Klaus that she wished she had done more than serve a few drinks and fail completely as his therapist, which he refuted, but she still only heard what she did for him. She deserved to hear all of the things others were saying to her dead body, while she was alive.
All in all, my girl deserved so much better. She did get a beautiful episode dedicated to her when she was unfairly killed off, but there was more that should have been done.

I didn’t like teen Hope in s5 of TO all that much to be honest. I didn’t hate her but I didn’t care about her either (as a character in herself, I do like the idea of her, as in her through other characters). I don’t know if it’s a hot take but again I don’t hate her. Maybe she’s better in legacies but I’ll never know. And it’s also likely that the entire season she’s in being terrible brings her character down.
And though I hate s4, I adored kid Hope, and I have a hc about her I forgot it was a hc because of how much I love it. It also comes from the canon base of her character.
Hope is a very kind and sensitive girl, and I hc that she became vegetarian as a kid when she understood meat comes from dead animals. I mean, Klaus, the most murderous bastard that walked the planet for a thousand years, being the father of such a sweet kid is dramatic and deep but also so funny. Like he drinks on innocent blood and tears out people’s limbs and Hope completely refuses to eat even the guaranteed ethically produced meat Hayley buys her. I think we can consider Hope a canonically nature loving kid, right? I don’t know, I like to imagine her as a little ecology activist
And I like imagining Klaus losing his mind. He knows he’s a terrible person and blah blah blah… But like his baby Hope considers an omelette a crime, what will she think of him when she hears the littlest of his offences??
It’s normal if none of this makes any sense btw I am half asleep but I thought about this and decided to write it

Can someone please create a time machine and put @andreal831 in charge of TO please I am begging
Please give me your Celijah headcanons I am starving for content on them.
I have the headcanon that Elijah would follow her when she was on errands in the town. When you rewatch the scene where he first meets Sabine (knowing she's possessed by Celeste), she adresses him so casually, almost flirting, when she asks if hes gonna keep following her. Like, why do I get the feeling she would catch him following her a lot when they were together?
Tumblr media
I have so many. This is basically just their story in my head:
The early 1800s were a time of relative peace in New Orleans. The witches, vampires, and humans would even congregate together at parties and various events (we don't know anything about the wolves of this time). But the witches never let their guard down.
Celeste was raised in a close knit family. She took her mother's last name due to her mother's strong connections with the Coven as well as the power the name held in New Orleans. Her father was a Haitian immigrant who had recently moved to New Orleans before meeting her mother. Celeste grew up learning their traditions and speaking Haitian Creole at home with her paternal family. She spent so much time with them that she developed an accent. She loved her accent as it always reminded her of the time she spent with her family as a child.
The Dubois were a powerful family who always maintained a spot in the Elders. As an only child, Celeste was raised to take over the position when her mother passed. She was raised to be strong and powerful, to be a good leader. But most importantly, she was raised to despise vampires.
Her mother died young when Celeste was only 26 years old and Celeste was thrust into the politics of the French Quarter. She was brought into the inner circle and learned of the unstable nature that was New Orleans. Less than a month after being made an Elder, Celeste attended her first council meeting. This was the first time she had ever met the Mikaelsons. Elijah was the one attending the meeting as Klaus had better things to do than the continued peace negotiations. Celeste was introduced to Elijah who rose to greet her. She couldn't help but notice that he was attractive and was thrown by his manners. She had always assumed the vampires would be cold and lewd with poor manners. She immediately shut down those thoughts, remembering everything she knew about vampires. She regarded Elijah with a cold look and moved to a different chair when he went to pull hers out. Elijah, of course, was amused by her behavior. Throughout the meeting, he couldn't help but attempt to make eye contact with her, which she purposefully avoided. When the meeting was over, she gathered her things, but Elijah was too quick and asked to walk her home. She, of course, said absolutely no and hurried out of the room, following the other elders.
They didn't see each other again for a month, until the next council meeting. At which point, Klaus had caused chaos. Elijah attempted to ease the tension, but was surprised by how vehemently the youngest elder argued against him. He couldn't help but think Celeste had a point in his inability to control Klaus, however, he took offense to the more colorful terms she used to describe vampires. Although they were likely all true. This started a rather fraught relationship between the two. Elijah attempting to keep the peace when his family seemed to do everything to create chaos and Celeste refused to give them an inch where the people of New Orleans were concerned.
After one particularly tense meeting, Elijah followed Celeste out of the council room and demanded to know why she was being so difficult, accusing her of wanting to start a war. Celeste didn't say anything but continued down the street, Elijah uncertainly followed her. She brought him to the cemetery where a family was grieving the death of a loved one. Someone who was killed by a vampire. She told him how she grew up in the grave yard, seeing family members mourn their loved ones who were taken away by the whims of the vampires. Celeste told him that if he can't control his family, his kind, than she will.
Elijah renewed his efforts to restrain his family over the next month. Placing knew rules for the vampires of New Orleans, hoping to curtail the death toll by the next meeting. He was successful and proudly stated his efforts and success at the next council meeting, to which Celeste merely stated the still very present death toll.
It went on like this for months. And for months the death toll by vampires continued to slowly decrease. Celeste couldn't help but grow fond of the proud, yet hesitant smile Elijah seemed to wear every month he would report his progress. He would look at her directly as he told her his efforts, hoping to gain her approval. She too found herself looking to him as soon as she would say anything, curious what he would think of her plans or ideas. Celeste couldn't help but recognize how brilliant he was at negotiation and diplomacy. She ignored the flush of pride she would feel whenever he gave her an approving smirk.
In the Spring, the Mikaelsons threw a party, which everyone was invited to. Despite her protests, Celeste was forced to attend by the elders. Of course, Elijah was their to greet her and welcome her to their home. She greeted him and moved past him but he followed. Celeste only stopped when he uttered the words "you were right." He told her that she was right in pushing him to try harder to restrict the vampires. He asked her to dance and she only agreed because she wanted to hear more about this revelation. As they danced, she realized that her initial attraction is still very much there, despite knowing what he was. Once the dance was over she rushed out of the home and Elijah followed, although he noticed Klaus' eyes trailing his movements, he didn't stop. He followed her down a block but she refused to stop so he sped in front of her. She stopped in surprise and threatened to melt his brain if he ever did that again. Elijah promised not to, but stated he wanted to make sure she was alright after she left so quickly. The concern in his eyes made her forget every negative thing she had heard about vampires. She nearly broke and confessed her attraction to him, the way he was leaning in made her think he already knew, but the sound of fellow witches leaving the party made her hesitate. Instead she whispered for him to meet her at the docks in the morning. He nodded once and disappeared, leaving her with her own thoughts.
She nearly didn't show the next morning, but when she finally made it to the dock and saw Elijah waiting for her, she couldn't help but feel excited. Elijah asked her what happened the night before but Celeste didn't give herself a chance to question it. Instead she kissed him, surprising even Elijah's quick reflexes. When they broke apart, Elijah couldn't help but to tease her that was what she had wanted. To kiss a "monster." She replied that that was all she wanted. It was just a mutual attraction, nothing more. Essentially proposing a "friends-with-benefits" scenario. Elijah smirked at her, causing her stomach to clench. They both knew it would be more than that.
For a month, they began to see each other in private. Elijah had rented an apartment they could meet at so his family (Klaus) wouldn't know and the witches wouldn't know. Their meetings began to be their favorite part of the day. Half the time, they would just sit and read or talk, escaping the chaos of both of their lives. They both fell quickly. They bonded over the pressure they were under to take care of their people. Of their love of music and art. They would often speak French to each other, Celeste teaching him Haitian French and recommending books to him.
However, they couldn't keep their relationship under wraps for long. The other council members began to notice their looks at each other and their whispered conversations. When the rumors started, Elijah wanted to tell his family before they found out from others. Rebekah teased him relentlessly and Klaus merely asked "who?" even though he had known since the moment they danced together.
Their relationship only got more passionate now that it wasn't a secret. Elijah found himself running to their apartment every chance he got. He found a home for the first time since he had been forced out of his village. Celeste also found herself distracted from her duties. Finding that she even began to make excuses for the vampires. Klaus began to go off the rails once more and the witches were working over time to protect their people. The vampires began to target witches as a means to stop them.
I love the idea that Elijah used to follow her when she ran errands, especially as it became increasingly more dangerous to be a witch. He knew she could take care of himself but he's overly protective of those he loves. She likely told him to stop multiple times and he ignored her each time. It became a game for her to try and spot him trailing behind her.
Elijah would bring her to his high society balls and she would complain the entire time. She hated the food, the people, the music. Elijah did to but was more tactful about it. Celeste would bring him to the jazz clubs and they would dance the night away. It was where they were both happiest.
Celeste liked PDA. Not only because of the embarrassed look Elijah would get but because she was also territorial. She especially made sure to do so when they were out dancing and she noticed other women looking his way.
When Celeste couldn't get away from the coven or her family, she would leave a book on their bed that she wanted Elijah to read. She would mark it up, even though she knew Elijah hated it, but she wanted him to read her thoughts as he read or pay attention to specific paragraphs. He would complain to her about ruining the books but he secretly loved it. He treasured the copies she left for him. Keeping them in his trunk that he kept his most valuable possessions that he could grab if they had to flee.
They would often talk about the future. Celeste would be the one to bring it up and Elijah would quickly try and shut it down, finding it unbearable to think of the future. He knew he would lose her eventually. Celeste had no desire to become a vampire and lose her connection to magic. They knew their time was limited. Celeste would often ask him to remember her young, not as she would be in her old age. He would tell her that he would find her just as lovely. Celeste had a portrait done for him to keep in his trunk as well, hoping he could keep a piece of her with him always.
They would often escape the noise of the city and go out to the edge of the woods to watch the lights of the city. Celeste would tell him that she felt the most alive out there, away from the responsibilities of the coven. That's where she asked him to make sure they didn't consecrate her body. She wanted to live free of the ancestors for once in her life, even if it was in death. But Celeste had secretly been coming up with a plan to be immortal with Elijah and it was necessary for her to maintain that power if she wanted to survive the Mikaelson family.
When Klaus adopted Marcel, Celeste encouraged Elijah to be involved. She knew Elijah's desires to be a father and they both took a liking to the boy right away. When Klaus and Kol went on a killing spree, Celeste was there for Elijah as he withdrew from Marcel. She watched how difficult it was for him and her hatred for Klaus grew. They had a tense relationship and often avoided each other at all costs. Celeste wasn't afraid to confront him and he wasn't afraid to attack her. Celeste would attempt to find common ground with him for Elijah's sake but his parenting of Marcel was the last straw. This confrontation was also the last straw for Klaus and when he set into motion his plan for Celeste's death. He didn't like being held accountable and wouldn't let Celeste take Elijah away from him.
After Celeste was killed, Elijah couldn't bring himself to let go of their apartment. He also couldn't bring himself to go back to it. It sat there, empty for decades until he fled New Orleans. Even when he went back in 2012, he couldn't bring himself to walk down their street, haunted by the memories.
After he found out Celeste was Sabine, he went back to the apartment and found it a time capsule of their relationship. It hadn't been touched except for one book which was placed in the center of the bed, Crime and Punishment. He opens the copy to see Celeste's familiar handwriting, marking up the pages. Her message is clear to him, she has spent 200 years tearing her morals apart for revenge. She may never forgive herself for her misdeeds, but his family must be punished for their 1000 years of crimes.
Sorry, this was so much but I agree, we need more Celeste/Elijah content!
*These are all just my headcanons some based in points in the show but really all are just from my head*

Currently watching House MD, s2 e3
At the end Wilson and House are talking about Cuddy (relationship between House and Cuddy starts getting hinted in this ep) and then we’re looking at Wilson and House from outside the window’s office, rain dripping and a song that says ā€œwe might kissā€ starts playing as Wilson stares at House and House looks away
I am dying of laughter this is HILARIOUS, they’re hinting CuddyxHouse the whole episode but just couldn’t help but put a love song during a House and Wilson scene at the end
And this is s2, the tension between Wilson and House haven’t even reached a quarter of what it’s going to be
Time stamp if anyone wants to check this out (when the love song starts) : 41min 26s

Elijah and Marcel could likely talk me into the craziest things with ease.
They have a way with words like NO ONE. And they wouldn’t need to lie or keep part of the truth out; they could lay out every single reason I shouldn’t agree to wtv it is they’re selling and they’ll still have me go for it.

The way some people actually believe Elijah was responsible for the monster Klaus turned into is insane.
Yes, he's the reason Aurora broke his heart, which triggered Klaus to lose his humanity, but Klaus would have ended up becoming the same kind of person he's in canon all the same, his brother's actions just sped it up. He put all of his happiness and expectations in one person, who was just as damaged as him, and that could never end up well. As much as I love their relationship, realistically, Klaus and Aurora wouldn't have lasted as a couple outside France.
Tristan would have probably tracked them down, and with Mikael after them as well, this would without a doubt cause a strain in their relationship. Aurora would be forced to chose between her lover and her brother, who has a strange incestuous obsession with her, and I don't think Klaus could ever truly let go from his siblings. And once again, both of them were mentally damaged, in probably the worst point of their lives. Their short romance was practically out of a fairytale, and it honestly felt like they were only clinging to the past and a version of themselves that no longer existed in the present.
Stop blaming Elijah for the man his brother turned into, because Klaus was doomed either way.
