Imagine waking up one day to realize that everything you worked so hard for—your home, your memories, your children’s sense of safety—has been reduced to rubble.
Imagine holding your children close, trying to shield them from the horrors of war, and struggling to explain why their home is gone and why their future suddenly feels uncertain.

Story written by @rumiandroses
Hamdi, a father of four from Gaza, is living this unimaginable reality. Forced to flee the only home they’ve ever known, Hamdi and his family now face the overwhelming challenge of displacement in Egypt. Skyrocketing living costs and the lack of residency have turned each day into a fight for survival. Despite the odds, Hamdi’s priority remains his children’s well-being: ensuring they have access to education, stability, and a chance to rebuild their lives.
Their GoFundMe campaign is less than €900 away from reaching their temporary goal of €2,000 as a first step toward a greater goal of €35,000.
That means this GoFundMe is only at 4% of its total goal.
This amount is not just a number—it’s a lifeline that can provide shelter, food, and hope for a family striving to overcome unimaginable adversity.
Every small donation or share can create ripples of hope and help Hamdi put a smile back on his children’s faces.
You can donate to Hamdi's GoFundMe [HERE].

Imagine this:
Hello! Have you ever heard of a "city of the dead"?

It's a place where the living reside, but they're dead! They're doomed to die, either quickly through direct targeting or slowly due to the absence of vitality in their city
Wherever you turn, you find nothing but death, displacement, homelessness, destruction, hunger, thirst, ignorance, disease, and rampant infection.
It's my city! It was fully with life until the butchers passed through it! Since the beginning of the massacres, I've been struggling to save myself and my family.
I am Mohammed from Gaza I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.
a 31-year-old living amidst the war in Gaza, a place deeply affected by conflict and hardship. I hold a Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences , I graduated with very good But Unfortunately, I did not get a job opportunity.
my family

Before the outbreak of war, my family and I had a comfortable life in our beautiful home filled with cherished memories. However, since the conflict began, our lives have been turned upside down. We now find ourselves living in a small tent, exposed to the harsh elements and constant threat of violence.
Our home, which once embraced us, is now destroyed It became a remembrance
👉 Watch the video
A picture of me and my family in front of our destroyed house.

👉Our house was bombed in the 2008 escalation and we built it, and also in the 2014 escalation the house was destroyed again and we rebuilt it, and in this 2023/2024 war the house was also destroyed.
Every time we start again, the Israeli occupation destroys us again
Life is unbearable. It has become hell for us. destruction, no education, no future
We can't stand it anymore
The situation here is dire. Food and basic necessities are scarce, and famine and malnutrition have become rampant. Our lives are hanging by a thread, and we fear for the safety and well-being of our children every single day.
The cost of living here has become extremely high. All of our resources are going towards securing food and trying to escape from disaster, desperately seeking a lifeline.
We are yearning to escape this nightmare and rebuild our lives in a safe place.
However, the cost of traveling to a safer area was beyond our means.
Each ticket cost $5000 per person,
a sum that was impossible for us to bear. Now, the border crossing is closed, and things continue to worsen.
We want to collect donations to leave Gaza if the crossing opens
That's why I am reaching out to you, dear friends. Your generosity and compassion can make all the difference for me and my family. Your donations will enable us to flee this war-torn region and start anew, away from the horrors of conflict and instability.
How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:
$5 may seem small, but for us, it’s a little relief, a moment of comfort, and a reminder that kindness still exists. ❤️
Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know.

Leen (@leenmat1) just told me that her daughter has broken her leg and that there are two fractures in her leg bone due to malnutrition! With Israel not allowing aid into Gaza, Palestinians in Gaza have to spend a lot of money just to feed themselves, and Leen has 5 children to feed. The youngest of her children is only 2 years old while the oldest is only 15.
However, not only do they have to contend with malnutrition and the struggle to buy food to eat, Leen also has to worry about treating her daughter's leg! Leen wishes to reunite with her husband, who is stuck abroad as an asylum seeker and unable to work and earn money due to his refugee status. Please share their fundraiser and donate if you are able to!

This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write; I have always been someone who tries to help others however I can. But now I find myself in the humbling position of needing help myself.
Over the past few years, I was trapped in a deeply abusive relationship. I endured mental, emotional, physical, and financial abuse from my ex-partner; a situation that left me broken in ways I am still working to recover from.
During that time, my ex controlled almost every aspect of my life. He took my money and used it however he pleased; if I ever tried to say no or protest, he would threaten me and the stability of our living situation until I felt I had no choice but to give in. The debt slowly built up while I was trying to provide for both of us (as my ex was disabled). I also lost my job at Disney: a role I truly loved, that had given me a sense of purpose.
After finally finding the strength to leave, I have been doing everything I can to rebuild my life from scratch. But I am now left with debt that I simply cannot manage alone; all of it the result of years of financial abuse. I went into that relationship with perfect credit and $5,000 in savings. Now I have nearly $10,000 in debt, my credit score keeps falling, and I am struggling even to find stable housing.
At the moment, I am living in motels; barely able to afford the weekly costs, often unsure if I will have enough to cover the next week. I am constantly fighting just to cover basic living expenses, pay back overdue bills, and save enough to secure a safe and stable home.
It is incredibly hard and embarrassing to admit how bad things have gotten, especially because I am so used to being the one who helps others. But the truth is: I am struggling, and I cannot dig out of this alone. If you are able to help in any way: whether by donating or simply sharing this campaign; I would be deeply, deeply grateful. Every little bit helps.
Thank you so much for reading this, and for any kindness you can offer. 💛

Imagine being a father watching your children endure hunger, freezing temperatures, and unimaginable hardship as war and displacement ravage your once peaceful home.
This is the devastating reality for Muhammad Shehab and his family.

@hyamshehabfamile
@mohammedshfamely
Story written by @rumiandroses
Forced to leave their home in Gaza, Muhammad and Hyam Shehab have been displaced nine times, living in unsafe and inhumane conditions. With no stable shelter, food, or clean water, every day is a desperate fight for survival. The brutal winter has made their situation even more unbearable—cold winds tear through makeshift tents while Muhammad’s young sons, Zaen and Yahya, shiver through the night.
The family dreams of escaping the horrors of war and rebuilding their lives somewhere safe, but they need urgent help. The cost of evacuation is staggering, and Muhammad can’t bear the thought of losing his family to these merciless conditions. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward evacuating Muhammad’s family, providing them temporary shelter, food, and a path to safety.
You can donate to Muhammed and Hyam's GoFundMe campaign [HERE].

Imagine living in a war zone, choosing to spend every day helping others survive—only to be targeted by a missile for daring to help.

Video: Ahmed Hamad does his best to keep children's spirits high amid the grim reality they live in. Photo: Ahmed and his mother.
@ahmed_hamad1991
Written by @rumiandroses
Ahmad Anwar Hamad is a 33-year-old statistical analyst and humanitarian from Northern Gaza. With a bachelor's degree in applied statistics and a master’s in sustainable development and food security, he dedicated his life to helping others—especially over the past nineteen months.
Since the beginning of the conflict, Ahmad has volunteered nonstop: delivering food, milk, diapers, and clothing to children; supporting women and people with disabilities; and even building an entire tent camp for displaced families when the Israeli military ordered mass evacuations from Rafah in May 2024. He organized shelter, clean water, and essentials for those who had lost everything.
But a month ago, Ahmad’s work was nearly cut short forever. While transporting aid, he was targeted by a missile. Though he escaped with his life, all of the funds he had brought to help others were lost. Since then, he has had no choice but to stop providing services.
Now, Ahmad is the one in need of help. He hopes to raise funds to restart his efforts—especially to dig a well and supply families with safe water and life-sustaining basics.
This is someone who has poured his education, heart, and every resource he had into serving his people.
Let's give back to him, and help him realize his mission of helping others.
You can donate to Ahmed's GoFundMe campaign here:
While Ahmed is not vetted by a mutual aid organization, he extensively documents his life, his work, and the reality of daily life in Gaza on his Threads account (@ahmed_hamad1991).

please don't ignore my story
Hi everyone ...😔
I am Maram Al-Nabulsi, I currently live in the completely destroyed 🏚🚀city of Gaza

, specifically Khan Younis.

Since the war on Gaza began on 10/7/2023, my family and my siblings - have been living in constant fear, crying and suffering because of shrapnel, shells and bullets. We have no food🥘🌯

, no electricity, no schools

, no cooking gas

, no homes🏚, no cleaning supplies, no clothes🧣🧥🧤

. Our house was completely destroyed
. My school was bombed, and my sister Nour's university was turned into rubble, which deprived us all of education. The war forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents that are not suitable for living

, especially in winter. Every day we live death, terror and panic a thousand times because of the continuous bombing of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the beginning of the war, we took refuge in my aunt's house, but it was also turned into rubble.
Imagine:
We have escaped imminent death more than 20 times,
and have been displaced between shelters more than 13 times. My brothers and I have suffered from many diseases due to malnutrition, and we need medicine constantly. If we stay in Gaza, we may lose our lives. Recently, we have been seriously considering leaving Gaza to a safe place. However, the travel costs are very high. We need more than 70 thousand dollars to leave Gaza. Due to the exorbitant prices, rampant unemployment, insecurity, the ongoing blockade, and the continuous bombing, we have lost all our money. How can we live in such insecurity💔🙏, with the constant bombing and shrapnel flying above us? My dear compassionate friends around the world, with your generous donations, even if small, you can save 5 people from imminent death, allowing us to start a life outside Gaza full of love, peace, and hope. Best regards from Gaza City....🍉🇵🇸

Imagine being severely wounded just trying to feed your starving family.
Imagine your younger sibling, wounded right in frkmtbof you, and in danger of losing his hand, because you both were simply trying to get aid.

Images: (Left) Muhammad and his children, Suha and Zuhair. (Right): Text messages we received from Muhammad's brother-in-law, Hossam Al-Qazzaz, detailing the attack on civilians and the extents of injuries sustained by himself, Muhammad, and Abdul Rahman. (You can see the full texts [HERE].
Written by @rumiandroses
This is the heartbreaking reality Muhammad Zanad and his family faces.
Before the war, Muhammad was a hardworking laborer at a contracting company. He built a good life for his wife Salsabil, their young children Suha (three years old) and Zuhair (one and a half years old), and his extended family—including his parents Anwar and Suha, and siblings Malak, Laila, Mohammed, and Abdul Rahman.
Then war came.
In November 2023, they fled their home in Khan Younis under evacuation orders, living for six months in a tent at Al-Khwarizmi School in Rafah. But when Rafah was also ordered to evacuate, they had no choice but to return—only to find their home bombed and barely standing.

Image: The bombed remains of Muhammad's home.
Now they live in constant discomfort, exposed to the elements, unable to secure the house against rats, insects, and stray animals. Muhammad has not been able to find work since the war began. He relies entirely on scarce aid, struggling to feed his family. Baby Zuhair urgently needs formula. Muhammad's father suffers from high blood pressure, his mother from diabetes, but medicine is nearly impossible to afford.
And now, tragedy has struck again.
Just days ago, while Muhammad was at an aid distribution point with his brother-in-law, Hossam Al-Qazzaz, and younger brother, Abdul Rahman, explosives were fired into the crowd.
Muhammad was hit by shrapnel all over his body.
Abdul Rahman suffered a severe injury to his right hand and is now in a British field hospital awaiting evaluation. His doctors do not know if the hand can be saved, or if it will be amputated.
All this, just for trying to gather food.
How You Can Help
Your donation will help:
✅ Cover emergency medical costs for Abdul Rahman and Muhammad
✅ Support the family as Muhammad recovers from his injuries
✅ Provide food and baby formula for the children
✅ Purchase life-saving medication for the parents
✅ Assist with repairs or potential evacuation to a safer shelter
Be the Light in Their Darkness
Muhammad is fighting with everything he has to keep his family safe, but he cannot do it alone.
Your support—whether through a donation or by sharing his story—can make the difference between despair and survival.
Let’s stand with Muhammad, Abdul Rahman, and their loved ones.
Let’s show them they are not alone.
You can donate to Muhammad’s Chuffed campaign here:
Muhammad and his wife have sent photos of their identification to Gaza Giving Tree for identity verification. We're hoping to help them get vetted by other mutual aid organizations like @gazavetters.
This campaign is also VETTED BY ASSOCIATION! Muhammad is the brother of Hanan Al-Qazazz and the brother-in-law of Hossam Al-Qazzaz ( @diana-family), who HAVE been vetted by @gazavetters and is (#287) on their list of verified campaigns.

Imagine knowing you have only hours left in a place you once called refuge—because the bombs are coming. Imagine being told you have to flee again, this time with just a mattress and a few clothes, to find a sliver of sand near the sea where thousands of other displaced families have already pitched makeshift tents. You're only 200 meters from a declared evacuation zone, and every moment that passes feels like a deadly countdown. There is no safety, no certainty—only the urgent need to survive one more day with your children.

Images: (Top) Hossam and his children, sitting stop the ruins of their home before Hossam cleared out the debris and did his best to rebuild what he could. (Bottom) A recent photo of Bashar, Hani, Diana and little Habiba, eating food bought with money raised from your donations.
@habob-family
Written by @rumiandroses
Hossam Al-Qazzaz, his wife Hanan, and their four young children (Bashar, Hani, Diana, and baby Habiba) have been displaced again and again. For months they have endured bombardments, lived in a fragile tent, survived on scraps, and risked their lives just to secure the resources they need in order to survive. Recently, Hossam described navigating chaos and gunfire just to reach a foreign aid center—leaving at 2 a.m., dodging bullets, watching others die for food.
Now, what little fragile stability they have is crumbling again.

An evacuation notice from the IDF, issued to Hossam's region.
TRANSLATION:
Top text: To all those present in blocks 47, 106, 108, 109 in Khan Younis Governorate
Red zone label (center): Dangerous combat zone
Blue box (bottom right): The Israeli Defense Forces will operate with full force in your area of presence. The terrorist organizations, led by H*m*s, continue their terrorist activities in the civilian areas where you live! For your safety, evacuate immediately westward to Al-Mawasi.

Hossam and his family are just 200 meters from the evacuation zone. Israeli forces have ordered mass evacuations in Khan Younis. With nowhere else to go, Hossam walked to the beach to scout a small patch of ground between the tents of other displaced families. He will move his wife and children there—closer to the sea, and further from any known safety.
“We’re being cornered,” Hossam wrote to us. "They’re pushing us all into a narrow strip on the coast.”
This is not just a crisis. It is a relentless and systemic stripping away of dignity, shelter, food, and hope.
Please pray for Hossam and his family. Please share. And if you’re able, please donate to help them survive another forced displacement. Your help may be the only lifeline left.
You can donate to the Al-Qazzaz family's campaign here:
We also are sponsoring a Chuffed campaign to assist the family with evacuating, and rebuilding their lives when possible:
The Al-Qazzaz family's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters and is (#287) on their list of verified campaigns.

Imagine the heartbreak of explaining to your young daughter why her beloved toys are hanging from a ceiling, cruelly arranged in a grotesque mockery of innocence.

@kholoodgaza
@kholoodpals
Story written by @rumiandroses
Now imagine trying to explain to her why the soldiers who are destroying your entire world are not only causing unimaginable devastation but also taking their monstrous cruelty further—ransacking bombed and abandoned homes, mocking their victims by posting vile acts on social media, playing with women’s intimate belongings [LINK], and hanging dolls in the bedrooms of displaced children [LINK].
Can you fathom trying to make sense of such hatred to your 2-year-old daughter?
This is not a scene from a nightmare or a work of fiction—it’s the chilling, heartbreaking reality faced by 29-year-old Khlood Smeer and her family in Gaza.
Stripped of their home and belongings just two weeks before the birth of their son, Khlood, her husband Khaled, and their two-year-old daughter Amira have been forced into a daily battle for survival amidst the horrors of war.
Khlood and Khaled, both professionals—a physiotherapist and a paramedic—are now navigating the unimaginable: raising their newborn son and toddler in a war zone where basic necessities are nearly unattainable. Inflation has made food and medical care almost impossible to afford, leaving them reliant on the kindness of strangers to provide their children with even the bare minimum.
Now, consider this: as they endure these hardships, they are met with psychological torment from acts like the ones described above. These images, shared widely, are not just haunting remnants; they represent a cruel reality, designed to strip survivors of their dignity and hope.
Yet, Khlood and Khaled fight on—for their children, for their survival, and for a future that doesn’t feel like a waking nightmare.
Your contribution, no matter how small, could be the difference between despair and hope for this family. Every dollar helps Khlood secure food, shelter, and safety for her children.
Let’s ensure that Amira grows up, not haunted by memories of the cruelty of soldiers, but inspired by the generosity of the kind-hearted strangers who chose to stand with her family in their darkest hour.
Please consider donating to Kholood's GoFundMe, [HERE].
Kholood's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters, and is (#337) on the list.
UPDATE: 12/23/24
Please, help this precious family survive. 🙏💔
Their GoFundMe has been stuck at $544 out of $5,000 for several days now.
Imagine the desperation of watching and waiting, hoping for someone to donate so you can buy food and baby supplies for your children. If you can’t donate, please share their story—it could make all the difference.
