Women. The amount of expectations attached to this word are ridiculous. Let’s not even go into all the so-called morals and duties we’re expected to uphold just yet. Let’s talk about the first thing you think of when I say ek jan. You think you of a thin, slender female body. Right? But we are so much more than that. Not all of us have a waist size that gives kids in third world countries competition. We choose to be whatever we want to be, however we want to be. We choose to not pressure ourselves into stereotypes. We choose our curves. And we choose to love our bodies. All of us. Because despite your delusions, the main aim of our appearance is not your satisfaction. Even Sonakshi Sinha recently tweeted about how she’s tired of people talking about her weight.
