Because The Night Is Our Own Bl Series Ep 5 Preview

er boy felt hurt by Seo Joon's absence but kept putting on a fake smile. He'd resigned himself to the reality that he and Seo Joon would never be together. He was tired of crying over someone who didn't seem to notice. So instead, he threw himself into work and schedules, and began spending more time with the other members—especially Jace.
It had been roughly three weeks since he and Seo Joon had had a proper conversation after their almost-kiss. Now, it was just awkward greetings—plain "heys" and "hi's." That's why it was such a shock when Seo Joon came to his room early that Saturday morning. Seo Joon was usually a late riser, but today, he seemed strangely energized.
"Jae Hyun-shi, irona (wake up)," he said, nudging Jae Hyun gently.
Jae Hyun grumbled, wiping drool from the corner of his mouth, still unaware of who was trying to wake him.
"Come on, Jae Hyun. Wake up," Seo Joon said again, more firmly.
Jae Hyun opened his eyes and sprang upright when he saw who it was.
"Seo Joon? What are you doing here?" he muttered, grabbing his watch off the dresser beside his bed.
"It's four-thirty in the morning..." he groaned.
"I'm sorry for waking you up so early, but..." Seo Joon paused and took a deep breath. "I want you to meet Lisa."
Jae Hyun felt like someone had poured cold water all over him. Just when he was finally getting used to the idea of Seo Joon having a girlfriend, this had to happen.
No.
He didn't want to meet her. He wouldn't be able to handle it.
"Seo... um, I can't meet your girlfriend. I have a photoshoot today."
"I already called and told them you weren't coming."
Jae Hyun frowned. "You what?"
Seo Joon flinched slightly under Jae Hyun's sharp glare.
"I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to have an excuse not to meet Lisa. You've been avoiding me lately."
"Me? Avoiding you?" Jae Hyun scoffed. "Well, you'd probably see it that way since you've been busy having the time of your life with your Beautiful hyungs and Lisa."
Seo Joon started laughing, his mouth stretching into a perfect rectangle.
"Is my Jae Hyunnie jealous?"
Jae Hyun blushed furiously. "Stop it..." he muttered.
Seo Joon stopped laughing and wrapped his arms around him tightly.
"I'm sorry I haven't been giving you attention. I promise I'll make it up to you. But I really need you there today."
Jae Hyun sighed. He could never really say no to Seo Joon—not when he looked at him like that.
"Okay, fine. Where should I meet you two?"
"Meet us at that coffee shop near the filling station."
Jae Hyun nodded. "What time?"
"Two o'clock."
"All right. I'll be there," he said with a heavy sigh.
Seo Joon kissed his cheek, causing Jae Hyun to shriek.
"Yah, Seo Joon! What was that for?!"
Seo Joon blushed. "I missed you, Jae Hyun... I'm so glad we're talking again."
"Yeah... me too," Jae Hyun whispered, watching as Seo Joon left the room.
Now he was anxious. How was he going to hide his jealousy from Seo Joon today? Could he bear seeing Seo Joon all lovey-dovey with his girlfriend?
He took a deep breath. He could do this. He had to keep his head high and get through the day, no matter how much it hurt. Most of all, he didn't want to disappoint Seo Joon. If he and Lisa didn't get along, Seo Joon would be distressed. He was going to try—really try—to be open-minded.
The day went by quickly. It was a rare free day for the group. Kelly and Namin decided to go watch a movie and stop by the shopping mall, while Ki Tae accompanied Do Hyun to the market to shop for dinner ingredients. And honestly... those two had been acting suspicious for a while now—especially with Ki Tae following Do Hyun everywhere.
Jace stayed home, glued to the TV, playing Mortal Kombat. Such a baby.
The others had all gone out, leaving only Jace and Jae Hyun in the dorm. Jae Hyun was getting ready to leave for what promised to be a painfully awkward lunch with Seo Joon and his girlfriend.
Jace didn't even turn when he entered.

My Cold Boss Ep 10 Bl Novel Preview
Han Su blinked his eyes open, feeling the warmth of Seo Jun's arm draped across him.
It took him a moment to process the situation—waking up in Seo Jun's embrace. His face flushed instantly, and when he shifted slightly, Seo Jun stirred, his sleepy eyes meeting Han Su's.
"Good morning," Seo Jun said with a soft, teasing grin.
Han Su averted his eyes, his face now crimson. "Morning... this still feels unreal."
Seo Jun chuckled, brushing a strand of hair from Han Su's forehead. "It's very real, Han Su. You're not dreaming."
Han Su's breath caught for a second before he shyly met Seo Jun's gaze. "I love you," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity.
Unbeknownst to Han Su, his phone on the bedside table had been vibrating nonstop. His mother's name lit up the screen repeatedly, but in their shared moment, neither noticed.
Downstairs, Butler Choi moved quietly about the house when the intercom buzzed. To his surprise, it was Han Su's mother and younger sister, Un, looking visibly worried.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Seo Jun leaned back against the headboard, smirking playfully. "So are you going to tell me how you fell for me? Was it my devastating good looks, my charm, or was it my cooking skills?"
Han Su rolled his eyes, remembering what a menace Seo Jun was in the kitchen, but he couldn't stop the small laugh that escaped. "You're so full of yourself. I honestly thought you were just an arrogant rich guy at first."
Seo Jun feigned a gasp. "Arrogant rich guy? I'm wounded, Han Su!" He clutched his chest dramatically, making Han Su laugh harder.
Han Su continued, his tone softening. "You're nothing like I thought you were. You're kind, thoughtful, and you make me feel safe."
Seo Jun's teasing expression faded into something more serious. He leaned forward, cupping Han Su's face gently. "And you make me feel alive, Han Su. You're my world now."
Before Han Su could respond, his stomach growled loudly, ruining the moment. He clutched his stomach in embarrassment as Seo Jun burst into laughter.
"Well, I guess someone's hungry. Let's get you fed."
Without warning, he scooped Han Su into his arms.
"Yah, Seo Jun! Put me down!" Han Su protested, squirming, but Seo Jun only tightened his hold.
"Nope. You're not walking. You deserve to be treated like royalty," Seo Jun teased, carrying him toward the stairs.
Meanwhile, Butler Choi, ever the watchful guardian of the mansion's delicate balance, felt his composure unravel when Han Su's mother and sister arrived unexpectedly. The sight of their worried faces set him into quiet panic. He stepped forward, bowing politely, trying to stall them.
"Mrs. Kim, Miss Eun ji," he began, his tone calm but his heart racing. "Perhaps you'd like to wait in the sitting room. I can fetch Han Su for you."
"We've been trying to reach him all morning," Mrs. Kim interrupted, her voice firm and laced with concern.
"Where is he? Is he all right? Is he sick again?" Eun ji chimed in, peering past Butler Choi as though she might spot her brother herself.
Before Butler Choi could fabricate an excuse, a sound caught everyone's attention—the faint sound of laughter drifting from the staircase. His eyes widened in alarm as he turned to see Han Su and Seo Jun on the stairs. Seo Jun was carrying Han Su in his arms, both of them laughing softly, entirely oblivious to the audience awaiting them below.
"It's not that I can't walk, you know," Han Su teased, his voice light.
"But why should you walk when I can carry you?" Seo Jun replied with a smirk, holding him just a little closer.
Butler Choi's silent prayers went unanswered. Mrs. Kim and Eun ji stood frozen, their wide eyes taking in the scene before them. Seo Jun, halfway down the stairs, finally noticed the three figures standing in the foyer. His confident stride faltered, and he nearly lost his grip on Han Su.
"Oh no," he muttered under his breath.
"What's wrong?" Han Su started, but when he followed Seo Jun's gaze, he immediately spotted his mother, his sister, and the stricken expression on Butler Choi's face.
"Oh my God," Han Su whispered, his ears turning crimson as he squirmed in Seo Jun's arms. "Put me down. Now."
Seo Jun quickly but gently set Han Su on his feet, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Mrs. Kim, Eun ji... I uh, didn't realize we had company."
Mrs. Kim stared at her son, her shock quickly shifting into an unreadable expression.
"Han Su, what's going on here?"
Han Su, utterly mortified, tried to hide his face behind his hands. "Mom, I can explain..."
Eun ji, meanwhile, was still processing what she had just witnessed. She pointed between the two men, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
"Wait. Are you two... are you dating?"
Butler Choi, standing off to the side, simply sighed, muttering to himself, "Well, the cat's out of the bag now."

Because The Night Is Our Own Bl Ep 4 Preview

Jae Hyun thought he didn't hear correctly. Did Seo Joon just say he was in love?
He sat up abruptly, the sudden movement making him dizzy with emotions he couldn't quite process. Uneasy, he stared at the brown-haired boy who still had a wide grin on his face.
"Are you serious?"
"Yep."
Seo Joon sat up too, bringing them to the same eye level. Jae Hyun swallowed hard.
"I guess you can feel that way now... since the dating ban's been lifted," he said, trying to sound casual.
"She's really pretty."
She?
Jae Hyun's chest tightened. What had he been expecting? Of course, Seo Joon was straight. He was straight too... or so he thought. But despite that, an inexplicable pain settled in his heart.
"Her name's Lisa. I met her yesterday," Seo Joon continued.
Yesterday? Jae Hyun's stomach twisted. He met and "fell in love" with some stranger just yesterday? Seriously?
"Are you for real?"
"Yes. I really like her. There's just something about her that draws me in."
Jae Hyun rolled his eyes and ran a hand through his hair, licking his lips—a habit he always did when annoyed. "Where did you guys meet?"
Seo Joon scratched the back of his head, suddenly reluctant to answer. But Jae Hyun's curious expression made it impossible to lie.
"At a club."
Jae Hyun gawked. "Aigoo. At a club? You met your so-called soulmate at a club?" he yelled.
Seo Joon quickly covered his mouth with a large hand. "Yah, stop yelling!"
Jae Hyun yanked his hand away, seething. So Seo Joon had ignored him all day yesterday because he was busy entertaining some girl at a nightclub.
"She seems really nice. And she's a total fan."
Jae Hyun scoffed. "You barely know her. What makes you think it's love?"
Seo Joon grinned. "I'll date her and find out."
A heavy feeling weighed down on Jae Hyun's chest. Seo Joon was really going to date someone else. His stomach twisted with a mix of emotions he didn't even know how to label. All he knew was—he wasn't happy.
Seo Joon seemed to notice the shift in mood and the silence that followed.
"Jae Hyun, come on. I need your help here. You're my best friend. You know it's been ages since we had any contact with girls—since high school."
Jae Hyun sighed. He never wanted to be the reason Seo Joon was unhappy. He always gave in, even when it hurt.
"Alright," he muttered, "but I want to meet this girl and make my own assessment."
Seo Joon grinned, throwing an arm around him and kissing his head. "That's why you're my best friend."
"Aish... so childish," Jae Hyun muttered as Seo Joon hugged him tighter.
It hurt so much.
He didn't know why—but the thought of Seo Joon with someone else twisted something deep inside him.
"I missed you," Seo Joon whispered, his breath warm against Jae Hyun's neck, sending a shiver down his spine.
"Didn't seem like it. You looked like you were having a blast with your Beautiful hyungs and your new girlfriend."
"You said you wouldn't call me!"
"Yeah, but I never said you shouldn't call me."
"I thought it was a challenge."
Jae Hyun picked up a pillow and smacked him with it.
"Challenge my foot."
"Yah, Jae Hyun!"
"Don't do that again. I was really worried about you."
Seo Joon melted at the concern in his voice. "Okay, I promise I'll call you every day, every minute—every hour. You'll get tired of it."
"Yeah, right."
"Come on, Jae, smile for me. Show me that famous eye smile I love so much."
Jae Hyun folded his arms across his chest, pouting like a child.
"Jae..." Seo Joon said, wiggling his fingers before suddenly tickling Jae Hyun's sides. The room quickly filled with laughter.
Seo Joon paused, watching Jae Hyun's eyes crinkle into crescents. His heart skipped a beat. Every time Jae Hyun laughed or smiled, he looked... beautiful.
The door flung open, and Do Hyun poked his head in.
"Yah, Kim Seo Joon! Choi Jae Hyun! Keep it down, will you?" he barked.
"Sorry, hyung," they chorused, cheeks flushed. Do Hyun gave them a suspicious glance before closing the door.
Seo Joon rolled off the bed. "I need to shower and join the others. Haven't practiced much lately. I'll see you tonight."
Jae Hyun pointed at his ankle. "Can't walk, remember?"
"I'll piggyback you."
Jae Hyun blushed. "Oh... arrasseo."
Seo Joon smirked before walking out.
Jae Hyun had all his meals in bed that day. He hated being idle—he wanted to dance, tease Jace, annoy Seo Joon.
That evening, Kelly entered the room wearing a grin.
"Seo Joon's got a girlfriend. You should've heard them on the phone today—they were seriously flirting."
Jae Hyun tried to appear unaffected.
"I heard," he mumbled.
Kelly tilted his head. "You know, it's weird. I always thought he was..."
He stopped, chuckling to himself.
"You thought he was what, hyung?" Jae Hyun pressed.
Kelly opened his mouth, then shut it again.
"Tell me."
He sighed. "Well... I thought he was gay."
Jae Hyun laughed. "Gay? Seo Joon is straight as an arrow."
Have you seen how he looks at you? Kelly thought. Everyone could see it—except the two of them.
"If you say so," Kelly shrugged.
At 9 p.m., Seo Joon came to pick Jae Hyun up for their usual late-night hangout. He piggybacked him all the way to his mint spider car. They brought snacks and drinks, heading to their favorite spot—the bridge.
Night was their sanctuary. Their escape. A time to just be themselves.

My Cold Boss Bl Ep 7 Review

The sunlight streamed through the curtains, warming Seo Jun's face as he stirred awake.
His head throbbed from the alcohol, and for a moment, he was disoriented. Blinking, he realized he wasn't in his room but on the living room couch. Then he noticed Han Su.
The younger man was curled up beside him, his head tilted awkwardly against the couch's armrest, his chest rising and falling with soft breaths. Seo Jun's heart tightened.
Why is he so close? he thought, memories of the previous night flooding back—the kiss, the rejection, the ache that followed. It all felt like a cruel reminder of the boundaries between them.
Seo Jun carefully shifted, trying not to disturb Han Su. His hand hovered briefly near him, the temptation to touch him overwhelming. But he clenched his fist and pulled back.
"No," he whispered to himself, standing up slowly. "I can't let this happen again."
He retreated to his room, splashing cold water on his face in an attempt to clear his thoughts. He looked at his reflection in the mirror, his jaw tightening as he made a silent vow.
Forget it. Forget the confession, the kiss—everything. He doesn't feel the same, and that's okay. Just be his boss, nothing more.
Meanwhile, Han Su stirred awake to find the couch empty. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and looking around.
Did Seo Jun leave without waking me?
A pang of guilt gnawed at him. He couldn't stop thinking about the kiss and how he had pulled away. He wasn't sure what he felt, but one thing was certain—he hated the awkwardness that now lingered between them.
"Han Su."
Butler Choi's voice startled him, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Oh—Mr. Choi," Han Su said quickly, standing up.
"It's time to start your tasks for the day," the butler said, his tone as polite as ever. But there was something in his eyes, a knowing glint that made Han Su uneasy.
"Uh, sure," Han Su replied, scratching the back of his neck as he shuffled toward the kitchen.
Mr. Choi cleared his throat. "By the way," he said casually, "it was quite the unexpected moment last night."
Han Su froze, his face heating up. "W-what do you mean?"
The butler raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "The kiss."
Han Su's heart sank into his stomach. "You... you saw that?"
"I couldn't help it. I was passing by," Mr. Choi said, his expression carefully neutral. "Now don't worry. I'm not one to gossip. But perhaps you and Mr. Seo Jun should talk."
Han Su stammered incoherently, too mortified to form a proper response. He excused himself hastily, nearly bumping into his mother and Eun ji as they entered the hallway.
"There you are," his mother said cheerfully. "We were just about to let you know we're heading back home today."
"What? Already?" Han Su asked, frowning.
Eun ji chimed in. "Yeah. We've imposed enough. Besides, Mom has work and I have school."
Before Han Su could respond, Seo Jun appeared at the end of the hall, freshly dressed and composed.
"Leaving so soon?" he asked, his voice warm but slightly reserved.
Eun ji grinned. "Yes, Mr. Seo Jun. We've taken up enough of your time."
"Nonsense," Seo Jun said, stepping closer. "At least stay for breakfast. It's the least I can do."
Han Su glanced at Seo Jun, his guilt deepening at how calm and polite he seemed. There was no trace of the vulnerability he'd seen last night—no hint of the man who had confessed his feelings.
His mother beamed. "That's so kind of you, Mr. Seo Jun. We'd love to."
As they all made their way to the dining room, Han Su couldn't shake the uneasy feeling in his chest. He stole a glance at Seo Jun, who was busy chatting with Eun ji. Seo Jun's laughter echoed softly in the space, his smile lighting up the room. It was genuine, easy, and completely devoid of the tension that had hung between them the night before.
He's really good at hiding his emotions, Han Su thought, his heart sinking further as they sat down to eat. He wondered how much of last night Seo Jun would bury—and if things could ever go back to how they were.

Because The Night Is Our Own Episode 3 Preview

"It's a wrap, guys!" the director finally yelled, and Seo Joon had never felt more relieved in his life. Who would've thought that filming just one scene could take so many hours?
He had always dreamed of becoming an actor, and when the opportunity finally came, he was both anxious and determined to give it his all. It almost drove him insane. He'd imagined a hundred different things:
Would his fans—STARZ—enjoy his acting?
Would he get along with the cast and crew?
Would someone yell at him? He really hated getting yelled at.
But as it turned out, there wasn't much to worry about. He fit in perfectly. The director liked him, and he'd already made a bunch of friends. He smiled to himself.
It was already quite late when they wrapped, and he was completely exhausted. He changed out of his costume and into casual clothes, then checked his phone. There were several missed calls—but not a single one from his obsessive best friend.
He chuckled. Jae Hyun was probably giving him space. He'd said as much two nights ago, when they sat together on the beach under the night sky. He still remembered how the stars had sChoiled that evening.
"I'm obsessive?" Jae Hyun had pouted, hands planted on his hips as he glared at Seo Joon.
Seo Joon scoffed and nodded. "Yes, Jae Hyun, you've been obsessed with me. Especially since I started filming this drama."
"Really? Just because I care about you, that makes me obsessive?"
Seo Joon let out a small laugh, but Jae Hyun wasn't having it.
"Obsessive?" he bit his lip, visibly annoyed. "Let's see if I ever call you again while you're filming. I wouldn't want to intrude."
Seo Joon had stared at him in disbelief. He looked ridiculously adorable with his cheeks puffed up and red from anger.
"Come on, I didn't mean it like that," he sighed.
"I'm not calling you again. You're too busy for me these days."
Seo Joon had been totally amused. "Really? Because I want you to call me all the time, Jae Hyun."
"Well, I won't." Jae Hyun barked and stomped toward his car.
"Are you sure, Jae Hyun-ah?" Seo Joon called after him.
Jae Hyun reached the car without responding, slammed the door shut, and Seo Joon couldn't help but smile. He always looked so cute when he was mad.
Then Jae Hyun honked loudly. "You getting in or what? It's late."
Seo Joon grinned and jogged toward the car.
A hand suddenly wrapped around his neck, snapping him out of his daydream. He looked up to find his castmate Choi Min Tae looking down at him with a cheeky smile, his signature dimples showing.
"Hey, Seo Joon. It's late. Why don't you just spend the night with us at the hotel?"
"Nah, I'm good. I'll head back to the dorm," Seo Joon replied.
Choi Min Tae gave a crooked smile. "You idols never know how to chill. You're what, twenty-one? Definitely not a virgin, right?"
Seo Joon didn't reply. The older actor continued, "So you're old enough to have a little fun."
"There's a cozy bar just beside the hotel. Some cast and crew are heading there. Come on—you earned it. For a rookie, you did well."
Seo Joon blushed. "Thanks, hyung."
"Let's go," Choi Min Tae said.
Seo Joon took a step forward... and suddenly Jae Hyun's face flashed in his mind. He froze.
What the hell? Why did Jae Hyun suddenly pop into his head?
"Hey, Seo Joon—you okay?" Choi asked.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine," he said, shaking off the strange feeling.
He followed Choi into the hotel lobby, where some cast members were waiting. Together, they went to the club. It was already packed—people dancing, drinking, making out, and throwing up on each other. Seo Joon was a bit nervous about being seen, but they assured him the place was private and known for protecting celebrity reputations.
He was satisfied with that. He sat in a booth with two other Beautiful castmates while the rest went off to dance.
"What can I get you?" a soft voice asked.
Seo Joon looked up to see a pretty girl with golden brown hair and large, expressive eyes. She was stunning—and her presence made him nervous.
Her eyes widened in recognition.
"Seo Joon! Oh my God, I can't believe it's you! I'm your number one fan!" she squealed, grabbing his hand.
"Yah, Lisa! Take it easy!" Choi Hyung Tae, a fellow castmate and idol, shouted. She immediately pulled away.
"I'm so sorry. It's just... you're even more handsome in person. And on TV, you're already super handsome. I love your stage expressions, your outfits—my friends are going to freak out when they find out I met you. I ramble when I'm nervous..."
Seo Joon gave her a small smile. "Calm down, Lisa."
"I'm calm. Totally calm," she said, taking a deep breath.
"Okay Lisa, it was nice meeting you. Now, can we get our drinks?"
Choi Hyung Tae rolled his eyes. "Finally."

Because The Night Is Our Own Ep 2 Bl Novel Preview

Jae Hyun woke up to someone tapping his body. He groaned, not wanting to get up. He still felt slightly dizzy from all the alcohol he had taken the night before.
"Yah, Jae Hyun, you better get up. We've got practice this morning, and our schedule is packed today, you know?" his roommate Kelly complained as he hovered over him.
"Arasseo, I'm coming," Jae Hyun mumbled lazily, burying his face deeper into the pillow.
"Ppalli! We're eating breakfast," Kelly said, then left the room.
Jae Hyun groggily got up and dragged himself into the bathroom. He washed his face and brushed his teeth. They had intense practice ahead, so he figured there was no need to shower just yet. He threw on a fresh, loose gray sweater and a pair of ripped jeans, then stepped out.
The sweet aroma of food filled the air immediately. His stomach growled, and he realized just how hungry he was. He followed the scent to the kitchen where the members were already gathered, eating breakfast made by Do Hyun, the oldest in the group. But one seat was noticeably empty. A wave of sadness hit him as he quietly slid into his usual seat—right next to the vacant chair.
"Yah, Jae Hyun, you need to stay focused today. We're performing next week. Don't let your mind drift," Do Hyun said as he looked over at him.
Jae Hyun nodded. "Okay, hyung."
With his mouth full of toast, Ki Tae chimed in. "Anyone heard from Seo Joon?"
"He called me this morning," Jace, the youngest, replied. "He said he'll be back this afternoon."
Jae Hyun scoffed suddenly, stabbing his toast so hard with his fork that everyone flinched and turned to stare at him.
"Jae Hyun, are you okay?" Kelly asked, concerned.
Jae Hyun smiled bitterly. "Oh, I'm fine, Kelly. Really fine," he muttered, forcing pieces of toast into his mouth and chewing harshly. His thoughts raced. How could Seo Joon not have called at all yesterday, or even this morning? Was he seriously out there having the time of his life with his Beautiful castmates?
Pushing his plate aside, he stood up.
"Yah, Choi Jae Hyun, finish your food!" Do Hyun called out.
"I've lost my appetite," he responded flatly and walked away.
No one said a word. They all just watched him leave, silently understanding what was eating him up inside.
Jae Hyun went to the practice room alone and put on their solo track CRAZY FOR YOU. Cranking the volume to the max, he began dancing aggressively, hoping the movement would burn away the jealousy and frustration twisting in his chest.
Maybe I've become old news. Maybe he doesn't want to hang out with me anymore.
Fine. He should enjoy his time with his new friends. What do I care?
He didn't even notice the rest of the members walking into the room, watching him from the doorway. Just as he attempted a difficult move, the music cut out, and his ankle twisted. He hit the ground with a hard thud, crying out in pain.

Because The Night Is Our Own Ep 1 Preview (A Kpop Bl Romance)

The sandy shores felt cool beneath his feet as he strolled along the beach, letting the breeze caress his face. This was one of those rare times when he could let loose, relax, and simply think.
Yes—think! He never really had time to do something as simple as that, not with all the schedules, photoshoots, and practices consuming his days, weeks, and hours. He sighed softly and looked up at the stars twinkling high above.
"Is he going to be okay?" he whispered to himself.
"Should I call him?" he said again, but quickly shook his head.
"He must be busy. I don't want to bother him."
He shoved his hands into his pockets and continued staring at the sky. He didn't even know why he was feeling like this again. Why was he missing him again?
He began walking back toward his car. When he got there, he opened the trunk, where a carton of beer rested. He pulled one out, popped it open, and let the cool liquid dribble down his fingers. At first, he gulped it quickly, but his pace slowed as he continued.
Closing the trunk, he walked to the front of the car and perched on the hood, sipping his beer slowly while gazing at the night sky.
"Jae Hyun-ah, where do you think we'll be ten years from now?"
Jae Hyun turned to look at the other boy, whose face was sprinkled with beauty marks.
"Why do you ask?" he replied, letting his gaze wander over his sculpted features.
"I don't know... I guess I just suddenly started thinking about the future," the boy said with a reluctant smile.
Jae Hyun let out a soft chuckle, finally tearing his eyes away. He took another sip of his drink and smiled at the aftertaste.
"I don't know, Seo Joon... but what I do know is that we'll still be together. Always."
He grabbed Seo Joon's hand and squeezed it firmly as they stared into each other's eyes.
"Best friends forever," he said.
Seo Joon chuckled, pulling his hand away. "You're weird, Jae Hyun," he whispered with that sweet smile that never failed to make the older boy melt inside.
But Jae Hyun couldn't show how much that smile affected him. He just shrugged and took another swig of his beer. When he turned back to look at Seo Joon again—he was gone.
He exhaled heavily and drank more of the brownish liquid, thinking to himself how, for a while now, Seo Joon hadn't really been there... beside him.
Jae Hyun returned to the dorm late that night to find it silent. He walked toward the room he shared with Kelly, his fellow bandmate, but didn't go in. Instead, he turned and headed toward the other corridor—the one leading to Seo Joon's room.
He stood outside the door for what felt like ages before finally knocking.
There was no response.
He knocked again, and the door slowly creaked open to reveal another bandmate—Namin. His hair was a mess, eyes barely open, and lips cracked with dryness.

My Cold Boss Ep 4 Preview

The tension in the café was unbearable. Han Su sat rigidly in his chair, staring at Tae Yong—Jin ho, as he used to know him. His heart pounded in his chest, not from sadness but from the sheer weight of the moment. Tae Yong’s cold expression felt foreign, far removed from the man Han Su had once adored.
Tae Yong leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed, his words slicing through the silence like a blade.
“I think it’s time we end this.”
Han Su blinked, his stomach tightening. “What?”
“I’m getting married,” Tae Yong said bluntly, his tone devoid of any emotion. “It’s better if we break up now.”
The words hung in the air, heavy and sharp. Han Su felt a strange mix of disbelief and resignation. Part of him had seen this coming—Tae Yong’s growing distance, his curt replies, the excuses for not meeting. Yet, hearing it spoken aloud was still jarring.
“You’re getting married?” Han Su echoed, his voice steadier than he expected.
“Yes,” Tae Yong replied, his gaze unwavering. “And before you start begging or crying, let’s just accept it and move on.”
Han Su’s lips twitched into a humorless smile. “Begging? Crying?” He shook his head, a surprising calm washing over him. “No, Tae Yong. I’m not doing that anymore.”
Tae Yong frowned, visibly taken aback. “What?”
“I just needed to know where we stood,” Han Su said, his voice soft but firm, “so I wouldn’t make the mistake of two-timing someone.”
Tae Yong’s eyes narrowed, his calm exterior cracking ever so slightly. “Two-timing?” he repeated, his voice laced with jealousy. “Is there someone else?”
Han Su met his gaze, unflinching. “Does it matter?”
Tae Yong leaned forward, his tone sharpening. “Of course it matters. You—” He stopped himself, frustration flashing across his face.
Han Su didn’t flinch. For the first time in their relationship, he felt like he had the upper hand. “You’ve made your decision, Tae Yong,” he said, standing up. “And now I’ve made mine. Goodbye.”
He turned and walked out of the café, his steps purposeful but heavy. Once he was far enough away, his calm façade shattered. He stumbled to the side of the street, his breath hitching as the tears came. The reality of it all hit him at once—years of love, trust, and longing crumbling into nothing.
Yet even as he cried, there was a strange sense of relief. Tae Yong’s indifference had been eating away at him for so long. And now, it was over.
In the middle of his breakdown, a thought surfaced, unbidden. Seo Jun.
He sniffed, wiping his face with the sleeve of his jacket. The image of Seo Jun’s warm smile and steady presence calmed the storm in his chest, even if just a little. For the first time in a long while, Han Su felt like he was stepping out of a shadow, leaving behind the remnants of a love that no longer served him.
With one last deep breath, he straightened up and began the walk back to the mansion, unsure of what the future held but determined to face it.
Seo Jun paced the grand living room, his frustration mounting with every passing minute. The rhythmic clicking of his shoes against the polished floor echoed through the mansion—a sharp contrast to Butler Choi’s calm voice attempting to soothe him.
“Sir, I’m sure he’ll be back soon,” Butler Choi said gently.
“That’s not the point,” Seo Jun snapped, running a hand through his hair. “It’s late, and he should’ve been home hours ago.”
Butler Choi wisely stepped back, allowing Seo Jun to stew in his worry. When the sound of the front door opening reached his ears, Seo Jun whirled around, his relief quickly overshadowed by irritation.
Han Su shuffled in, his shoulders hunched, his face pale.
“Where have you been?” Seo Jun started, his voice sharp. “Do you have any idea—”
But his words caught in his throat when he saw Han Su’s expression. The young man’s eyes were red-rimmed, his face drawn with exhaustion and something heavier—hurt.
Seo Jun’s frustration melted into concern. He swallowed his anger and instead gestured toward the staircase.
“Go to your room,” he said softly. “Get some rest.”
Han Su nodded wordlessly, trudging up the stairs, leaving Seo Jun standing there, wrestling with the urge to press for answers.
The following morning, Seo Jun was up early, his usual routine falling into place. But as he sat at the breakfast table sipping his coffee, Butler Choi approached, his face uncharacteristically worried.
“Sir, Han Su hasn’t come down yet,” Butler Choi said.
Seo Jun frowned. “He’s usually up before me.”
“That’s what’s strange,” Butler Choi added. “I knocked on his door earlier, but there was no response.”
Seo Jun shot up from his seat, a cold knot forming in his stomach. He strode briskly to Han Su’s room, knocking firmly on the door.
“Han Su, are you in there?”
Silence.
The knot tightened.
He turned to Butler Choi, his voice urgent. “Give me the spare key.”
Butler Choi hesitated briefly before retrieving the key from his pocket and handing it over. Seo Jun wasted no time unlocking the door and pushing it open.
The sight before him froze him in place.
Han Su lay curled up on the bed, his body trembling beneath the blanket. His face was flushed, his breathing shallow, and his usually bright eyes fluttered weakly as he tried to look up.
“Han Su!”
Seo Jun rushed to his side, his heart pounding.
“Seo Jun...” Han Su mumbled, barely audible.
Without a second thought, Seo Jun scooped him up, ignoring how limp Han Su felt in his arms.
“We’re going to the hospital,” he said firmly, glancing at Butler Choi, who followed closely behind.
At the hospital, Seo Jun paced the waiting area, his earlier impatience replaced with helpless worry. When the doctor finally approached, Seo Jun was at his side in an instant.
“How is he?” Seo Jun asked, his voice low but filled with urgency.
“He’s suffering from emotional and physical exhaustion,” the doctor explained. “His body simply couldn’t handle the stress. He needs complete rest—no work, no stress, just time to recover.”
Seo Jun nodded, relief mingling with concern.
The doctor hesitated before adding, “Forgive me for asking, but what’s your relationship with him?”
Seo Jun’s chest tightened. He opened his mouth, and the truth came out like a bitter pill. “He’s my housekeeper.”
The doctor raised an eyebrow but said nothing, simply offering a reassuring nod.
Seo Jun sighed, running a hand over his face.Housekeeper.It felt wrong to reduce Han Su to such a title after everything.
“I’ll make sure he’s taken care of,” Seo Jun said firmly.
He returned to Han Su’s room, where the young man lay on the hospital bed looking small and fragile. Sitting beside him, Seo Jun reached out, gently brushing a stray lock of hair from Han Su’s forehead.
“You’re going to be okay,” he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
A strand of hair fell from Han Su’s forehead.
“You’re going to be okay,” Seo Jun murmured, his voice thick with emotion. “You have to be.”
The hospital room was quiet, save for the steady hum of machines monitoring Han Su’s vitals. Han Su lay propped up in bed, the faint smell of antiseptic lingering in the air.
Across the room, Seo Jun was perched on a chair, typing furiously on his laptop, his phone balanced precariously on his shoulder as he spoke to his secretary.
“Yun, I apologize for missing the meeting in person,” Seo Jun said, his tone curt but polite. “I had an urgent matter to attend to.”
Yun’s voice crackled on the other end, confirming that the video meeting with the board had been set up. Seo Jun ended the call and quickly logged into the virtual conference, his expression shifting to one of calm authority.
On the screen, his aunt Mina’s sharp features appeared, followed by Ted Yong’s smug smirk. Their coldness was palpable even through the monitor.
“Seo Jun, you’ve missed quite a few important discussions lately,” Mina said, her voice dripping with condensation.
Tong chimed in, “Yes, cousin. Perhaps someone else should take the reins if you’re too distracted.”
Seo Jun met their veiled jabs with an unwavering gaze.
“I assure you I’m fully capable of handling my responsibilities,” he said firmly.
After the meeting concluded, Seo Jun called Yun again.
“Keep an eye on my aunt and Tong. I don’t trust them not to make a move while I’m away.”
“Yes, sir,” Yun replied, his tone crisp.
Meanwhile, Han Su couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt. He glanced at Seo Jun, who had shifted back to his chair after the call.
“You didn’t have to miss work for me,” he said quietly, fiddling with the edge of his blanket.
Seo Jun glanced up, a small smile playing on his lips. “It’s not a big deal. I always miss work. Now’s not the first time, nor will it be the last.”
Han Su opened his mouth to argue but was cut off when Seo Jun stood and extended a hand.
“Come on. Let’s get you moving a bit. Doctor’s orders, right?”
With Seo Jun’s help, Han Su managed to take a few wobbly steps. They stumbled together when Han Su nearly lost his balance, both laughing at their awkward coordination.
“Not bad for someone who couldn’t even sit up this morning,” Seo Jun teased, his grin wide.
“Thanks to you,” Han Su replied, his voice tinged with gratitude.
Their camaraderie didn’t go unnoticed by the nurses, who exchanged knowing smiles as they passed by.
“Such a cute couple,” one of them whispered, loud enough for both of them to hear.
Han Su’s cheeks flushed, and Seo Jun cleared his throat, feigning nonchalance.

Seo Jun sat at the dining table, his focus unwavering as he typed on his laptop. Beside him, Han Su hovered nervously, glancing at the screen every so often.
"Are you sure this is okay?" Han Su asked again, his voice tinged with both excitement and uncertainty.
Seo Jun looked up, his expression softening. "I wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't. Now stop pacing — you're making me nervous."
Han Su froze mid-step, grinning sheepishly. "Sorry. I just... I never thought I'd get this far. Thank you, Seo Jun. Really."
When they finally printed out the college application, Han Su let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. He turned to Seo Jun, his face lighting up with gratitude.
"I don't know how to repay you for this."
"You don't have to," Seo Jun replied simply. "Just do your best."
The next day, Han Su was startled to see his mother and younger sister arriving at the mansion, carrying bags of food and small, neatly wrapped gifts.
"What are you doing here?" Han Su exclaimed, rushing to meet them at the door.
"To thank Seo Jun, of course. He's paying for your college tuition," his mother said matter-of-factly, adjusting the flask of homemade side dishes in her hands.
Han Su's eyes widened in alarm. "Mom, you don't need to do this. What if it makes him uncomfortable?"
Eun ji rolled her eyes, brushing past him. "Don't be ridiculous. He helped you — this is the least we can do."
Before Han Su could argue further, Butler Choi appeared, bowing politely as he held the door open.
"Welcome. Please, come in."
Despite his initial hesitation, Seo Jun greeted them warmly. "You didn't have to go through so much trouble," he said, accepting the bag of food from Han Su's mother.
"It's no trouble at all," she replied, her smile warm and genuine. "You've done so much for my son — this is just a small way to say thank you."
Eun ji chimed in, placing the gifts on the coffee table. "And we wanted to see this famous mansion. It's even more amazing than Han Su described."
The normally quiet house seemed to come alive with their presence. Seo Jun found himself relaxing in their company, a rare smile playing on his lips as Han Su's mother fussed over him, insisting he eat more of her cooking. Even Butler Choi, who rarely showed emotion, appeared to be in high spirits. He chuckled softly as Han Su's sister peppered him with questions about the house and its history.
"Does this chandelier ever fall?" she asked, pointing to the massive crystal fixture in the dining room.
Butler Choi shook his head, amused. "Not yet, miss. But let's hope it never does."
Han Su watched from the sidelines, a mix of embarrassment and pride swelling in his chest. He couldn't help but smile as he saw how easily Seo Jun interacted with his family. His younger sister had him laughing openly as she shared exaggerated tales of Han Su's childhood misadventures. The sight was surreal — Seo Jun, usually so composed and reserved, laughing freely, his entire demeanor softened.
By the time they sat down for dinner, the atmosphere was lively and warm. The once intimidating mansion had transformed into a space filled with joy and connection.
Han Su's mother raised her glass of wine, her voice full of sincerity. "To Seo Jun, for being so kind to my son. Thank you."
Seo Jun inclined his head, his voice low but earnest. "I should be the one thanking you. Your family brings a light to this house I didn't realize it needed."
Han Su's chest tightened at those words, his gratitude for Seo Jun growing deeper. For the first time in a long while, everything felt right.
Dinner was a lively affair. Plates of food — both from home and prepared by Butler Choi — were passed around as conversation flowed easily. Seo Jun blended seamlessly, sharing polite laughs with Han Su's mother and indulging his sister's endless questions about the mansion.
At one point, his sister leaned forward, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "So, Seo Jun, do you have a girlfriend? Or maybe a boyfriend?"

Love Cupid Bl Series Ep 3 Preview
It was going to rain today and it was possibly going to be a heavy one. Thunder crackled repeatedly in the sky and Jimin only thought of getting home quickly before the rains met him. He tried not to notice but Taehyung was unusually quiet today. He wasn't his normal jovial self. He was strangely silent and that seemed to unsettle his band of friends.
Kim Taehyung and his friends were the "baddest boys in the school" or BBS as they liked to call themselves. There was Namjoon or RM as he preferred to be called. He was tall, round-faced, and cute. He loved rapping. It was basically what he did every day. If he wasn't spitting out some lyrics, he was writing them down in one small book which seemed out of place with his personality. He was normally gentle but once provoked, he could turn into a monster. Literally.
Then there was Yoongi aka Suga the party freak. He threw the biggest and craziest parties and sometimes acted as a DJ at other parties. He was the serious type. No one had ever seen Suga smile. He was mostly lazy and would have preferred to sleep all day if he could help it. All the students feared him because he was unpredictable. No one knew what went on in that head of his. He had never physically assaulted a student until one stupid boy challenged him to a fight without knowing that Yoongi was highly skilled in the art of Taekwondo. He ended up beating the boy so mercilessly that it earned him more fear and respect in the eyes of both students and teachers. After several diggings, it was discovered that he was the son of a very wealthy mafia boss.
Taehyung was the leader of the group because he was the son of the most wealthy family on the Northside. Their families had dealings with each other in business and their children became close friends.
Jimin came from the wealthiest family on the south side and could never imagine himself mingling with these northerners whose lives mostly dealt with drugs and illegal activities. His people were more sophisticated than them but the school project would force him to mingle with Taehyung especially when it was the last thing he wanted to do.
"Yah, Taehyung what's up?" Namjoon shouted to the younger one but he didn't reply. He just kept looking out the window.
Jin and Hoseok chuckled beside Jimin and Namjoon glared at them.
"What are you looking at?" He yelled and the two avoided his gaze. Yoongi tapped Namjoon and the latter shrugged.
Upon seeing the rain drizzling, Jimin smiled satisfactorily. He wouldn't have to see Taehyung today because of the rain. Their meeting would just have to be postponed till another time.
Before school ended, the rain began, pouring down with a vengeance. When school ended, it was pouring heavily. After greeting his friends, Jimin dashed out to his car which was always waiting outside the school gate at 3.00 am sharp when school was over.
He was driven home and when he arrived at the mansion, the maids welcomed him warmly and prepared a hot bath for him. After bathing, he decided to play some video games before doing his homework. He had a huge flat-screen TV in his Mega-sized room but the TV in the main living room was so huge and he figured it would be great for playing games with. He could do anything he wanted when his parents weren't around. He didn't have to act all posh and sophisticated. He could stuff his face with pizza and cans of colas if he wanted. He took his Xbox to the living room and connected it to the TV. He started with king of fighters and played it till he got tired. Then he started playing a soccer game. While in the middle of the game, he heard the doorbell ring. The Butler opened the front door and he heard a loud gasp.
Jimin stopped his game.
"Butler, who is there?" He shouted but his question was answered when he saw Taehyung dripping wet and standing in front of him. His clothes gummed to his body. Jimin was shocked.
"What are you doing here?" He whispered almost to himself. The rain had subsided now but Taehyung suddenly slumped to the ground.
Jimin rushed to him and the Butler ran to bring some water. Taehyung kept gasping for air.
"Taehyung, what's wrong?" he cried. Jimin gathered Taehyung's head in his arms, fear circulating through him. The Butler returned with some maids carrying bowls of water but Taehyung was scaring him with how his body kept shaking and the pupils of his eyes dilating. His eyes suddenly turned all white and he stood still, foaming a white substance from his mouth.
"He's epileptic!" The Butler suddenly said.
"Young master, step away"
Jimin reluctantly left Taehyung's side and watched as they treated him. He stopped shaking and foaming from the mouth. The Butler carried him in his arms.
"We have to keep him in one of the guest rooms"
"No, take him to my room"
Jimin had no idea why he said that. The Butler stared at him curiously.
"Who is he?"
Jimin hesitated before speaking "he's the Kims son"
A loud gasp followed.
"But young master, you know he shouldn't be here"
Jimin sighed. "I know but it happened that way" He looked at them all crossly.
"No one should mention this to my parents"
They all nodded. "Don't worry, our lips are sealed" said the Butler.
Taehyung was kept in Jimin's room and the boy watched over him carefully while he did his homework. The Butler helped in changing Taehyung's clothes into Jimin's and it looked weird to Jimin to see Taehyung wearing his clothes. Taehyung didn't wake till 10.00 pm that night. Jimin was already sleeping close to him but not too close.

The Prince Bride Bl Episode 4 Preview

The room felt suffocating, heavy with tension, as Ji Yun stood before his father, trembling. The anger radiating from Seungmin was palpable, and his voice cut through the air like a whip.
"Running away, Ji Yun. Do you have any idea what you've done?" he thundered, his fist slamming against the low wooden table. "Do you think the world outside these walls will spare you? Do you know the risks you bring upon us all with your recklessness?"
Ji Yun flinched but held his ground. His heart was pounding, fear and defiance clashing within him. He wanted to shout back, to pour out the storm of emotions that had been brewing since his mother's death.
But before he could speak, Dae Hyun stepped into the room, his calm presence like a balm against the chaos.
"Seungmin," Dae Hyun said, his voice steady. "The boy has just lost his mother. Don't you think your anger might be misplaced? He's grieving. Let him breathe."
Seungmin glared at his friend, his jaw tightening, but he stepped back, his rage simmering just below the surface.
"Grieving doesn't excuse stupidity," he muttered, though his tone had softened.
Ji Yun couldn't hold back any longer. The words burst from him, raw and trembling.
"Grieving? You don't even know what that feels like, do you, Father?" His voice cracked, tears brimming in his eyes. "When Mother died, you didn't shed a single tear. Not one. She was your wife. Didn't you love her? Don't you love me?"
Seungmin's eyes darkened, his face impassive as he listened to his son's anguished words. Ji Yun took a shaky step forward, his voice rising.
"Why do you hate me? Why do you make me live this life—dressing me like a girl, forcing me to be someone I'm not? Why, Father? Why?"
Seungmin's silence was deafening. When he finally spoke, his voice was cold and unyielding.
"You will know when the time comes."
The cryptic answer only fueled Ji Yun's frustration.
"When will that be? What will it take for you to treat me like a human being?"
Seungmin's expression hardened, his face a mask of stern authority.
"Enough," he said sharply. "From now on, your training will be even stricter. You will not question me again. I will make you into the most beautiful and graceful woman in the country—and you will do as I say. Now leave."
The finality of his words struck Ji Yun like a blow. His shoulders sagged, and the fight drained out of him. He turned and stumbled out of the room, tears streaming down his face.
That night, Ji Yun sat in bed, his heart heavy with sorrow. He clutched the small jade pendant his mother had given him—the only piece of her he had left. The grief he had been holding back for so long finally spilled over, and he cried until exhaustion claimed him.
But the next morning brought no relief. As he sat in the courtyard, listlessly plucking at the strings of his gayageum, he overheard a conversation between his father and Dae Hyun.
"Jun Ho has been accepted into the Elite Academy School," Dae Hyun said, his pride evident. "He leaves in a week."
Ji Yun's fingers froze on the strings. His heart sank at the news. Jun Ho—his closest friend, the only person who truly understood him—was leaving. The thought was unbearable, and a sharp pain twisted in his chest as he realized something else: he might never get the chance to tell Jun Ho how he truly felt.
The days leading up to Jun Ho's departure were bittersweet. Ji Yun clung to every moment they spent together, trying to memorize the sound of Jun Ho's laugh, the way his eyes crinkled when he smiled. But the looming shadow of goodbye hung over them, and Ji Yun couldn't shake the ache in his heart.

Han Su nearly choked on his food. "Jun!"
"What? It's just a question," she said, her gaze flicking back to Seo Jun. "Because, you know, if you're into guys, my brother would be a great choice. He's sweet, hardworking, and—"
Han Su's face was burning now as he waved his hands frantically. "Stop it, Jun!"
Unfazed, she continued. "And honestly, his boyfriend is a jerk. Jin ho never calls, never visits, and doesn't even care about him. I say dump him."
"Jun, stop it," Han Su hissed, his embarrassment reaching its peak.
Seo Jun's expression was unreadable, but his eyes flicked toward Han Su briefly before he said, "It sounds like you care about your brother a lot."
"Of course I do," Jun replied, crossing her arms. "And I hate seeing him with someone who doesn't appreciate him. Right, Mom?"
Their mother, clearly sensing the tension, finally intervened. "That's enough, Eun ji. We're guests here. Let's not embarrass your brother any further."
Jun huffed but relented, and the conversation shifted back to lighter topics. Han Su glanced at Seo Jun, muttering a quiet apology, but Seo Jun simply gave him a small, reassuring smile.
As the evening wound down, Seo Jun turned to Han Su's mother. "You should stay the night. It's late, and the drive back won't be easy."
"Oh, we couldn't impose," she began, but Seo Jun waved her concerns away.
"It's no trouble. There are plenty of rooms, and Butler Choi will ensure you're comfortable."
The cool night air brushed against Han Su's skin as he wandered through the sprawling garden, his arms wrapped around himself for warmth. The quiet of the mansion was almost suffocating, and his thoughts were louder than ever.
His sister's words replayed in his mind, cutting through the stillness like a sharp blade. Why are you holding on to a failed relationship?
She wasn't wrong, he realized. It had been months since he'd seen Jin ho — and even longer since he'd felt genuinely connected to him. The unanswered calls, the lack of effort... it all weighed heavy on his heart.
Lost in thought, he didn't notice the soft footsteps behind him until Seo Jun's voice broke the silence.
"Can't sleep?"
Han Su turned to find Seo Jun standing a few steps away, his hands casually tucked into his pockets. His face, illuminated by the soft glow of the garden lights, looked calm yet curious.
"No," Han Su admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I guess I have a lot on my mind."
Seo Jun took a step closer. "Want to talk about it?"
For a moment, Han Su hesitated. But then the words spilled out, unfiltered and raw.
"It's Jin ho. I just... I—"

My Cold Boss Bl Series Ep 4

That morning, Han Su pulled on his hoodie, preparing to leave for work. His mother stood at the kitchen counter, carefully wrapping a neatly packed lunch.
"Mom, you don't have to do this," Han Su said, adjusting his bag.
"Nonsense," she replied, sealing the container. "Your boss looks like someone who doesn't eat real food. He needs this."
Han Su rolled his eyes. "You met him for barely two minutes, and you've already decided he's malnourished? He has the best chefs cooking for him, I'm sure he doesn't need this"
But his mother chuckled, handing him the bag. "Mothers just know these things. Besides, a warm, home-cooked meal can make a world of difference to someone who feels alone."
Before Han Su could respond, Eun ji bounced into the room, holding out a box of chocolates.
"And these are for him too," she said cheerfully.
Han Su groaned. "What is this? A fan club?"
"You're just jealous," Eun ji teased. "Don't act like you don't talk about him all the time. 'Seo Jun this, Seo Jun that.'"
"I do not," Han Su protested, but his mother's knowing smile silenced him.
"Just give them to him," she said. "And treat him well. He's still your boss, after all."
Shaking his head, Han Su took the chocolates. "Fine. But if he asks why I'm acting like a delivery boy, I'm blaming both of you."
When Han Su arrived at the mansion, he was greeted by Mr. Choi, who seemed more animated than usual.
"Good to see you again, Mr. Han Su," the butler said with a slight bow. "The house has been quieter without you."
"Is that so?" Han Su asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh yes," Mr. Choi replied with a glint in his eye. "The young master has been in quite the mood—though, of course, he'd never admit it."
Han Su laughed softly as he walked into the main hall. There Seo Jun stood by the large bay window, his posture as composed as ever.
"You're back," Seo Jun said. His tone was neutral, though his eyes betrayed a flicker of relief.
"Yep," Han Su replied, holding up the bag and chocolates. "And apparently, I come bearing gifts. My mom made you this, and my sister insisted on the chocolates."
Seo Jun blinked, his usual cool demeanor faltering. "Your mom made this? For me?"
Han Su nodded, setting the items on the table. "She said you look like someone who doesn't eat properly."
Seo Jun stared at the container, a faint smile tugging at his lips. "Tell her thank you. And your sister too."
"You can tell her yourself next time," Han Su teased.
Seo Jun shot him a half-hearted glare, but the warmth in his expression was unmistakable.
It was late in the evening when Seo Jun called for Han Su. The mansion was quiet—the kind of silence that made every creak of the floor feel amplified.
Han Su had just finished his tasks for the day and was ready to retreat to his room when Mr. Choi intercepted him in the hallway...

The Prince Bride Bl Novel Episode 3

The boy stood looking at him, his posture regal despite his simple clothing. His dark hair fell in soft waves, and his eyes gleamed with curiosity and uncertainty.
Their eyes met. Ji Yun hesitated—something about the boy drew him in.
Before he could turn away, the boy came closer, offering a hesitant smile.
"Excuse me," the boy said, his voice smooth yet carrying a nervous edge. "Do you know where the Royal Tavern is?"
Ji Yun blinked. "The Royal Tavern?"
The boy nodded. "I'm lost," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm new here."
Ji Yun tilted his head, studying him. There was something off—something too polished about his demeanor.
"I don't know where it is either," he confessed, "but we can look for it together."
A flicker of relief crossed the boy's face.
"Thank you. I'm Kyung Hoon," he introduced himself, offering a slight bow.
"Ji Yun," he replied, returning the gesture.
They set off together, winding through the narrow streets. As they walked, Kyung Hoon's eyes lingered on the colorful stalls and bustling crowd in the night markets. His gaze kept drifting back to Ji Yun.
"You have a unique look... especially your hair," Kyung Hoon said suddenly, his eyes softening. "It suits you."
Ji Yun blushed. "Thanks. My grandmother was a foreigner. My mother once told me she was a French woman whom my grandfather met during his merchant days. They fell in love, but her family didn't approve. She later died while giving birth to my mother, and my grandfather returned to his hometown alone with her. It's rare... but we look like this," he muttered.
"You look nice. I mean it," Kyung Hoon chuckled.
"Do you come out often?"
Ji Yun shook his head. "Not really. My father... he keeps me inside."
Kyung Hoon's expression shifted, a shadow passing over his face.
"I know what that's like. My father keeps me locked away too."
Their steps slowed, the weight of unspoken burdens settling between them.
"I guess we're both trapped," Kyung Hoon added, his voice quieter now.
Ji Yun glanced at him, surprised by the vulnerability.
"Yeah," he whispered. "But today, we're free."
Kyung Hoon grinned. "Exactly. Let's make the most of it."
They wandered through the village, asking for directions but often getting distracted. Kyung Hoon's easy charm earned them smiles and laughter from passersby, and Ji Yun found himself relaxing in his company.
At one point, they stumbled upon a small clearing with a massive tree. Ji Yun's eyes lit up.
"Watch this," he said, darting forward and scaling the tree with ease.
Kyung Hoon laughed, clapping. "Impressive!"
"Your turn," Ji Yun called from a high branch.
Kyung Hoon attempted to follow, his movements less graceful. He slipped, landing with a thud and scraping his knee.
Ji Yun was by his side in an instant, panic in his eyes. "I'm so sorry," Ji Yun fussed, inspecting the wound.
Kyung Hoon waved him off, laughing despite the pain. "It's fine. Honestly, I've never even been free enough to get hurt before. This feels good."
Ji Yun blinked, confused but intrigued. There was more to Kyung Hoon than he let on. But Ji Yun didn't press.
They found a small traditional clinic where an elderly healer cleaned and bandaged the wound. As they left, Kyung Hoon exaggerated his limp, leaning heavily on Ji Yun.
"You're pretending. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that much," Ji Yun accused, rolling his eyes.
"Maybe," Kyung Hoon admitted with a grin. "But it's nice having someone care."
Ji Yun shook his head, hiding a smile.
Eventually, they reached the Royal Tavern. The regal building loomed before them, its wooden beams weathered but sturdy.
Kyung Hoon turned to Ji Yun, his expression softening. "Thank you, Ji Yun. I hope we meet again."
"Me too," Ji Yun whispered, waving as Kyung Hoon walked away.
Moments later, a group of guards rushed past Ji Yun, heading straight for the tavern. He caught a glimpse of Kyung Hoon being confronted but managed to toss a playful bribe their way. Ji Yun's heart tightened with confusion and concern as he walked away, the mystery of Kyung Hoon lingering in his mind.
Kyung Hoon sat in his royal chamber, staring at the elaborate ceiling. The conference his father, King Jang, had sent him to attend had been stifling. According to his father, it was to prepare him for his future role as king.
It was filled with tedious discussions and rigid protocol. He'd slipped away once the guards weren't paying attention, craving a taste of freedom.
Now, as he lay in bed, his thoughts kept returning to Ji Yun.
"I wonder if I'll see that boy again," Kyung Hoon murmured. But deep down, he knew this was the last time they would meet. The weight of his title—the chains of duty—ensured that.
Yet the memory of Ji Yun's smile lingered, a flicker of light in an otherwise dull world.
Ji Yun darted through the narrow streets. His heart raced—not from fear, but from the exhilaration of the day. For once, he had felt truly alive... free.
The thought made him grin as he slowed his pace, savoring the moment.
The rhythmic clatter of hooves echoed behind him. Ji Yun barely had time to turn before a familiar voice rang out.
"Ji Yun!"
Dae Hyun, his father's friend, reined in his horse and leapt from his carriage, his face a mixture of relief and simmering frustration. Ji Yun's stomach twisted with guilt.
"Do you have any idea what you've done?" Dae Hyun demanded, his tone sharp. "Running off like that—what were you thinking?"
Ji Yun shifted on his feet, staring at the ground. "I just needed some air."
"You can't just disappear," Dae Hyun snapped, his voice softening. "Your father will be furious if he finds out."
Ji Yun nodded, his lips pressed into a thin line.
Dae Hyun sighed, rubbing a hand over his face. "Get in. We'll talk on the way back."
The carriage's wooden seat was cold beneath Ji Yun as he climbed in beside Dae Hyun. They rode in silence, the evening air brushing against Ji Yun's skin.
"You seem different," Dae Hyun observed, his eyes flicking over to Ji Yun. "What happened today?"
Ji Yun's face lit up, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"I made a friend," he said softly, almost to himself. "For the first time... by myself."
Dae Hyun blinked, caught off guard by the quiet joy in Ji Yun's voice. He didn't press further. Instead, he nodded, a rare genuine smile gracing his lips.
