My impulse control lost and today I draw a little Monkey King from LEGO Monkie Kid since I’m officially hyper fixated on the show.

I left my pens at home, so I outlined in pencil, which I don’t usually do but it does look nice, albeit different.

Alright, I’ve been working on an original concept and here’s some of the first sketches I did. It originally was a spur of the moment character design, but I kinda fell in love with her.

Her name is Nurlan, though she originally was gonna be named Tria or Severa. She’s a lynx, but at first I just drew her more like a generic cat.

These are from February, but I’ll be posting more of my sketches of her (and other characters) later.

You’ll notice her general look and outfit evolve over time.

I was at the arcade the other night, trying to draw people I saw, and I messed up the side-view of a lady and somehow managed to recycle it into this.

Honestly, I quite like it given it was born of an accident!

(Since it’s not obvious, the woman’s head was recycled into the torso of the pose, haha)

Did I really spend time trying to figure out how to draw Oogway just to make this stupid inside joke between my boyfriend and I?

Yes.

Did it come out good? Arguably no, lol, but I am happy with it regardless.

Some Sonic gijinkas I drew back in April!

You know, I’ve always been partial to gijinkas ever since I was a kid- it always felt like a fun challenge to take a non-human design and try to make them human while retaining what made them unique.

We had to make a fantasticalized version of ourselves and I basically just went out of my way to make something fun that I’d want to wear in real life.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Dang… it’s been almost three years since I posted on here. 2020 was hectic and I fell away from updating here BUT, on the upside, that means I’ve got quite a backlog of sketches and art to post!

Let’s get this started again!

I have literally not drawn Sonic since at least 2008, but now that I have knowledge on character design and shape composition, let’s just say tackling him as a drawing is waaaaay easier.

My 3D Dumbo model and process pics!

This was very difficult from an angle perspective because I couldn’t find any real good front/side/back pics of him, so I had to use a 3/4 view and imagine the rest, but it was great fun!

There’s definitely things to improve upon here, and the teacher only wanted a portrait, though I’d love to do the body later, but it’s ready in time for the class deadline, and honestly, I’m proud of my work!

This is a friend’s blog! They drew my very very old fairy OC from when I was seven as a gemsona because, well, Ms. Sugar owes me money since I totally invented Lapis with water wings first.

Lazuli was a fairy dancer and singer for the royal court of Queen Amethyst, in my own story I’d written as a child.
