This is a flowering dogwood (Cornus florida) tree. A popular ornamental tree that is native to eastern North America and northern Mexico. These flowers can range from pink 🩷, red ❤️, and white 🤍.

There are many symbolisms for this flower. One in particular is that they symbolize rebirth, purity, and strength.

One of things I love about photography is its therapeutic aspect. Everywhere I go, I find something that grounds me to the present. To gently bring my mind at ease. Flowers of any kind are my favorites to photograph. Or anything nature related.

I finally completed my exams! 🥳🎉 I’m taking a small break from everything. Both mentally and emotionally exhausted tbh.

Since tomorrow is June, I figured I’d share this random sketch. Mix of gay and angst. Don’t know what I should name them yet. What do y’all think?

Currently burnt out from finals. But recently, I did an extra credit assignment for photography. Honestly, this gave me some motivation to keep going through college lmao. 😂

My mug had a cat with a glaze-defect, giving them heterochromia eyes. Reminded me of Alan from MDHM. So you can say I’ve been inspired lol.

Close with her father, practically sharing a single brain cell.

Sadie has always looked up to her father. Seeing him as her best friend that she could confide to without judgement. Almost following in his footsteps. On weekends, they’ll both sit at the park and talk about whatever book they are currently reading. Horror, Mystery, almost any genre that peaks their interest.

Described by others as “Little Miss Perfect” when she was younger; practically her mother’s golden child of the family.

Inspired to become a college professor at a high, prestigious University, just like her father.

Wanted to teach Astronomy or, like her father, Literature and Creative Writing. Sadie attended University to earn a PhD in Astronomy. Only to earn an Associates Degree, due to being forced into an arranged marriage and having to move to her husband’s hometown, Chicago.

Once she got hired, Sadie was set on taking this opportunity. A chance to strive for a life she wanted.

Sadie divorced her husband, making it clear that it wasn’t his fault. Ending things on… good terms? By the time Sadie left Chicago, she went no contact with her mother. Despite this, she remains in contact with her father.

Sadie’s hyper-fixations!

Gets really fixated on certain books she has read. If not that, it would be space and constellations. Whichever one, Sadie needs to tell someone about it! Back when she was still friends with Lorena, Sadie would either: 1.) Vent about the misunderstanding conflict between two characters that make love stories unnecessarily complicated. 2.) You know what? Might as well give a 3 hour lecture by how much Sadie talks about space. Meanwhile, Lorena is having her 3rd cup of coffee as she tries to complete piles of last-minute homework for three classes. Yet she takes everything to account. No matter if it’s in-person or over the phone, Lorena will hear you out! Of course, Sadie will do the same in return. Minus the multitask.

Her mother’s side of the family owns a wine business.

Her mother takes pride in taking over the business. Selling a variety of wine (blueberry, plum etc). Very adamant in Sadie taking her place, once she retired.

Spoiled, but not rotten.

Her and her family dedicate themselves to help those in need. Either by donating or buying resources to send to shelters. Although Sadie is generous (like her parents), she doesn’t like to be the center of attention. Just wants to help without the unnecessary praise. It overwhelms her emotionally. A casual ‘thanks’ is enough.

After her and Lorena split, Sadie decided to pick up boxing.

Used it as a form of stress relief. Took private training, not wanting her mother or husband to know. Secretly wanted to hold on what’s left of Lorena.

Lesbian in denial —Ehem! Woah, who said that?

When the two reunite, it’s… well, complicated.

I can see Sadie saying some things in British dialect. Like asking for “bot-uhl ov wot-er” (bottle of water), or calling potato chips “crisps”. Not that she solely speaks in that dialect. But it’s just something Sadie picked up at an early age from her mother. As Sadie got older, her English shifted towards an American dialect. Yet she still calls some things differently.

Somehow Miss Pauling’s therapist. After working together for a few months, Miss Pauling unconsciously turns to Sadie to vent. Sometimes she’ll offer her two cents.

Lorena and Miguel accidentally eating way too many edibles. Should’ve labeled the bags…

Currently working on my TF2 OCs’ lore. Consider this as part 2, based off my previous post. (Might make this into a series?? Feel free to ask questions about them!☺️)

Has twin brothers, named Miguel & Javier (4 years older than Lorena).

Had Venny for 10 years. Back then, Lorena took extra precaution in hiding them from the public. Now that she works as a mercenary, it’s hardly a secret.

The equivalent of: “I’ve only had them for a day and a half. If anything happens to them, I will end everyone in this room and then myself”.

Occasionally gets nightmares, due to overworking herself.

Whenever she wakes up, Sprout has a hard time going back to sleep. Oftentimes, she’ll start cooking/baking as a form of stress relief/distraction. If she’s really exhausted, Sprout would prefer to wait till sunrise to sleep. Believing she is safe with her surroundings being visible. You’ll most likely find her sleeping in the weirdest spots of her greenhouse. — Floor — Under workshop desk — Rooftop — Trunk of her pickup truck — Ceiling (using Venny’s vines as a hammock)

Before Mann Co., Sprout used to work as a producer at her hometown’s local farmers market when she was 13.

As Lorena took more jobs, as to provide for her family, she had to leave the farmers market. Couldn’t keep up with demands. Yet Lorena still grows and delivers to those in need. During Lorena’s college years, she worked part-time as a florist and waitress at the same diner that her father and brother, Miguel. Florist by day, waitress at night. Yup, definitely didn’t sell edibles.

Both her and her brothers were taught tailoring by their mother, who works as a seamstress at the local tailor shop.

Sprout often fixes her and her teammates’ uniforms after every battle. If it cannot be repaired, Sprout will make quilt blankets or other projects out of the undamaged scraps.

Honestly, I can see Sprout being the type to like anything cherry flavored. Even cold syrup; despite her brothers’ insistence that it tastes HORRIBLE. She’ll be casually drinking it by the bottle and be like: “Damn, what’s their deal?”

Doesn’t smoke, prefers edibles.

Hyper-fixates on plants, biology, anything related to her field.

If you ask more about it, Sprout will be like: “uuuh okay, how much time do you have?” The only people that are either willing to listen or discuss are: — Sniper — Engineer — Francis, her mentor He’s still missing… Seriously, where is he?

Enjoys her job a little bit… too much.

Mann Co. granted Sprout unlimited access to all plants (poisonous, invasive etc) and full experimental freedom. So long as it benefits the team and their objectives. Almost the same mindset as Engineer, like cutting off his hand for a robotic prosthetic. Except, she’s eager to move onto the next project. Even if it cost her life. For instance, Sprout had died and regenerated 11 times. How? For literally eating POISONOUS berries and any other non-edible plants. Justifies by saying: “It’s for research purposes! Never know when this type of information might come in handy”. …. I mean, hey, all the mercs come back to life. Sprout might as well use this newfound immortality to her advantage.

I finally completed redesigning my TF2 OCs. And honestly, I had fun with it!

Their overall "plot" story is still in development. Including other characters I'm planning to incorporate into it (family, friends, etc); regarding their designs, personalities, backstories, and more.

What do y’all listen to when you’re at the dentist?

I’m an anxious person. Like if I had to describe how much of my day I spent being anxious, I’d say it be 60%. So when it comes to dentist appointments, it can be a challenge to calm my nerves. Especially when I’ve done it many times and know it’s nothing to worry about, my mind and body still tense up.

But I’ve found something that (surprisingly) works for distracting/relaxing myself… Rap music.

I’m talking Ice Cube, Sir Mix-A-Lot, 2Pac, and Snoop Dogg. All in one playlist specifically for my dentist appointments. Like I could be getting my wisdom teeth extracted and I would just be sitting there, vibing to “Drop It Like It’s Hot” by Snoop Dogg.

I figured I share my thoughts and start a small discussion: How do you get through your dentist appointments? Music/playlists? Meditating? Counting? Etc

I JUST realized midway through the day that it was April Fools. So all day I’ve been thinking it’s a normal Tuesday. And I’ve been tricked 4 times now!😂

Either I’m that gullible or the things people say sound/look too real for me not to hear them out.

The next thing I’ll know is that someone will try to convince me aliens are real. Or that I’ve been spelling “ketchup” wrong for years.

This morning, I decided to take a walk and I ended up finding this! Turns out this butterfly is called Gulf fritillary (Agraulis vanillae Linnaeus).

Eventually, I decided to look into its symbolism. After all, everything always has its meaning!

I highly recommend y’all check out its symbolism! Because this butterfly has a lot; from representing hope and resilience to transformation and rebirth.
