Like they married in an old magical way that's common among witches so that day totally count as a wedding. They were happy, Agatha got pregnant, Nicky died and she left. They never got a divorce or something. So they're still married.

The fact that Rio just could've said no, when it came to the summon spell in ep 4 but she didn't.

Because you want to tell me an cosmic being, literally Lady Death herself, who takes care about the people's souls was REALLY forced to come dow there (or up)? Or that she couldn't had just left again if she really wanted to? Nah.

Maybe that spell summoned her. But as we literally saw

We literally got the proof that she only stayed because of Agatha. Because she only left when Agatha really told her to.

Okay but that beauty mark? I don't know if they thought we wouldn't care if it's there or not (but we defently did) or if they had any other reasons to remove it. Agatha hated Rio for what happened to Nicky.

But fact is, she wouldn't be able to hate her like that if she wouldn't had loved her even more. Because that's exactly what she did. She loved her with every inch of her body and she trusted her. She had enough faith in her that she literally begged her, Lady Death, to spare him. That she believed her love alone could be enough to break the rules. But it wasn't.

So yes, Agatha hated Rio. But she also once loved her with the same intensity.

The way she smiles and roles her eyes after Agatha left the fire.

And that little head shake before she got up? Because she looks so used to it in that scene and she reacted the way she did because she missed it. She wasn't near her like that since probably decades. Agatha tried to act like she doesn't care but Rio saw right through it. Because she knows her. Because she always did something like this in the past when she was upset, something's bothering her or she wwanted to avoid things.

And that's why she followed her. Because she knows how to handle her. Because even after all these decades Agatha hasn't changed at all. She still knows her and that made Rio to get up and smile like that.

Headcanon; Expect of Rio no one is allowed to touch Agatha's hair. Why? Because Evanora was used to pulling at it after she pushed her at the ground and Agatha wasn't fast enough to get up again. Rio was the first person who told her she loved her and the only one she trusts enough to not hurt her like that.
