hi i know its a billion years later anon im so sorry but im (finally) doing okay! a few of my Problems got bad the beginning of this year and i had zero interest in writing wafwaf because i was struggling myself and worried if i tried to write brad struggling id relapse completely which. not great! but im mostly stable now and im on new bipolar meds so hopefully im good LOL! i FINALLY finished writing chapter 18 last night so expect that to be up today and hopefully i wont take another stupidly long break between chapters again

uh. ok confession. ive written exactly 126 words for it so far. ive been majorly struggling with the depression side of my bipolar depression lately and i recently relapsed on some really bad habits so. although im going to try and get chapter 18 out on time, i really cant make any promises while i deal with my own mental shit. ive spent the past three months prioritizing wafwaf over my own mental health and apparently that was a Very Bad Idea because even though im not burned out on writing at all i have ZERO motivation to do ANYTHING right now. ive literally been sleeping for 12+ hours a day lately and it still isnt enough sleep. so uh. yeah. sorry

totally random: do you think brad was bullied is high school?

so i actually have a LOT of theories/ideas about this! i definitely think he was, because it's almost to be expected that any minority (in any regard) has been bullied in school at some point, but i think it was probably significantly worse in elementary and middle school than it was in high school. partly because younger kids are meaner, and partly because i imagine he was a small and sickly kid from malnutrition and the abuse from zack and their father. but danny pudi is 6'0, and i imagine at some point in high school brad would have hit his growth spurt and all of a sudden he was towering over most of his classmates, so the bullying probably slowed or even stopped completely around that time. he was occasionally bullied after that for random things (being gay, being indian, being a smartass, being soft with bugs, etc), but mostly kids left him alone which he was grateful for.

danny pudi is the tallest of the main cast as well, so i'm going to headcanon that brad is insecure about his height because he was tormented for being small for so long as a young kid that now he has to be the tallest person in a room or he gets very self-conscious. tall people will always be more respected than shorter people by default, so he wants that respect to be directed toward him rather than anyone else. plus there's the underlying, subconscious fear of anyone taller than him, as most of his childhood bullies towered over him as did his father and brother until he outgrew both of them in his late teens and they started to back off because they realized he was big enough to actually fight back.

but basically to answer your question anon yeah i think he was most certainly bullied in high school, but not as severely as he was in elementary/middle school. this was a really good ask, thank you!! i love rambling about my headcanons LMAO

okay so i was worried id have to reply to this with a string of apologies and a million excuses but tonight i forced myself to sit down and write even though i had no idea how to continue the chapter from where i left off but i FINALLY got it and YES it will be uploaded in like an hour or two >:) it's TECHNICALLY not the weekend anymore but shhhh it counts

the next chapter will prooooooobably be released sunday solely because im only halfway through and wont have a chance to work on it tonight or tomorrow afternoon because im going to repticon. so it really depends! as i said before, weekends (friday-sunday) are my new upload schedule, to hopefully give myself some more cushioning so that im never stressed about uploading a chapter on a specific day each week :-)
