The target draws the arrow.” What that means to me is this: When you’re open minded, what’s meant for you will find a way to come to you. Right now, someone or something is trying to find you. I believe there is a person, place, or thing that is trying to get YOUR attention, because it's meant for you. But you are closed off. You’re so blocked you aren’t even aware of the target that is trying to draw you to it. This is why I am going to spend all of 2021 helping you identify and remove the blocks that keep you from getting what you want and allowing yourself to be pulled in the direction of your dreams. And if you're reading this and thinking, "Mel, I'm so blocked I don't even know what my dreams are," I want you to know that's not only common, it's one of the #1 things I hear from the hundreds of thousands of students who have taken my online courses– you don't know what you want. One of the reasons why it’s hard to know what you want your life to look like is because you’re thinking about your current circumstances. If you can’t live your dream life inside of your current life, you will block yourself from admitting what you really want, because it’s not possible to achieve it based on what you have right now. And you know what? You’re right. That’s the whole point of your dreams. They’re not meant for your life right now. They are bigger than your life right now. Grandma & Granddaughter Time! 💞 I got this cute Crystal Chic Design & Make Ultimate Jewelry Center Kit off of Amazon. I just finished making several bracelet & necklace pieces with my youngest granddaughter, Danielle. The bracelets were a little bit harder to make, because it’s tricky to keep the beads on. I learned this as I thought I tied a big enough knot in the one end of the stretchy string, but they fell off twice. It turned out well though once we figured out how to keep them on. 😆 The necklaces we made are from “shoestring” fabrics, in purple and blue, and these were much easier to make! The bigger beads stay on better, and thread easily. I made my bracelet with some beads that spell my name. Got Dry Feet 🦶? The Baren Magic Stainless Steel Foot File has t o sides! Depending on the dryness or callouses, one side is more coarse, and the other side is more for smoothing. I was just a tad nervous using for the first time, since it’s steel, and looks sharp, but it was pretty gentle. I like how the handle is made; easy to hold, and has a hole to hang up. The stainless steel plates are laser-cut for the scrubber side, which helps remove the dead cells. My feel feel soft enough to put on my favorite soft & fuzzy slippers! Of course, I do! But as I read this photo; it’s about “taking action”. All of us who have children can teach them the meaning behind what Martin Luther King Junior wanted for everyone. I listened to my youngest granddaughters class on Thursday about Martin Luther King Jr, and the teacher had the kids participate by asking them what they thought about the video they listened to. There were different answers, and I’d say it’s good to ask them as a parent or grandparent, what they learned or remembered. I asked my granddaughter today, if she remembers what today meant, and what she learned from class on Thursday. This is what she said; “Martin Luther King wanted both White & Black people to care about each other and not fight. When Martin Luther King Jr was little; his neighbor friend was white, and his mom or dad told him he can’t play with Martin because he was Black. He knew that it shouldn’t matter the shade or color of skin, to be able to play with other kids”. I’d say that a lot of our backgrounds and beliefs come from how we were brought up, so parents can start teaching their children right, so it goes with them as they grow up. I’ve Been Painting! 💖 I had started working on my paintings again, and finally sharing them! The first flowers I did for myself, I drew by pencil first, then painted a little at a time. The second painting was a sunflower 🌻 I made for my youngest daughter, as she loves them! The last paining was the hardest! My youngest son likes birds, well more recently he says; so I did this painting of a bird for him. I wasn’t sure whether to leave the bird by itself, so added a few random clouds & stars to give it a little extra something.
