People SHOULD just be kind. It says everything about your lack of humanity when you behave like this to others.

I wanted to write this on the off chance it makes certain people reconsider their harassment of LFJ, particularly the people who are tagging him in comments about his family.

This month the Ferrigno children had to testify in court against their own father, on behalf of their incapacitated mother. Their mother had to take out a DV restraining order against their father in the early days of her dementia diagnosis. Their father has totally cut her off financially, leaving her kids to fully support the round the clock in-home care she needs.

I also wanted to share that Mama Ferrigno is a badass. She was assaulted by Bill Cosby and came out publicly to support survivors in a video. She defended her children from her abusive husband for years. What's happening to her now is appalling and she, and her children, deserve better. And that includes not having randos on the internet saying awful shit about her and tagging her son in it because of a TV show.

The entire situation is fucking horrible and I don't talk about it because we shouldn't need to bring up people's personal lives to try and stop harassment, people should just be kind. But it is good to remind others that even though it's "just the internet" you don't know what someone might be going through at any given moment.

We need to stop sending threats and off the wall accusations to people we know nothing about. It's one thing to comment about a blatant homophobic or racist take, but it's completely unacceptable to just @ someone randomly on a Tuesday and tell them to go kill themselves.

And I appreciate you, Annie for typing this all up for people to read and maybe change but I'm afraid that the handful of people we're still dealing with are too immature and hateful to give a shit about anyone other than themselves.

Also. Athena’s plot with the baby, was about facing her grief for Bobby by helping the mother of the baby face hers too. It was really poignant to see how it helped her approach things she’d been burying so hard for two weeks. My heart hurts for her so much.

Jfc the crash outs in the form of review bombing is immature as fuck. Yes he’s dead. It’s disappointing. But even my 13 year old commented, right before the Bobby death reveal in lab rats, that no one ever dies and it’s boring. My kids lost interest.

The disrespect to the hard work behind the scenes, and the amazing performances we saw on screen, is not ok. I knew people got so hung up on him being buried alive or whatever, that they were not going to cope and ooft did they not cope. 🫠

I thought they did an amazing job they handled it with grace. I was missing one thing, a team gathering to share memories of Bobby, but they did so much right I can’t be mad about that. I’m sure not going to review bomb it.

Dare I say, Katey is a masterclass in professionalism.

I'd love an honest answer from bucktommy fans about this. Katey talks to Lou and frames a lot of her coverage around bucktommy which is fine because she's allowed to like whatever she wants and write about it. She tweets about bucktommy, just like buddie journalists tweet about buddie. But only buddie journalists who interview more than just Oliver and Ryan, and write articles for the show that may cover buddie but talk about everything else too are called unprofessional. How is that fair to either side?

I've answered this before but I'll do it again.

Katey's twt is her personal twt and she's private 90% of the time.

Katey doesn't bait with article titles of something that hasn't happened in the show.

Katey asks about bucktommy, the canon ship.

Katey doesn't link her articles to her twt and respond to comments with "🤭" or "👀"

Katey doesn't call Tim Minear out for ruining his show.

Katey has never told fans they're wrong for shipping something or liking a character.

And my personal reason why Katey has never been unprofessional in fandom:

She's never threatened to sue a fan over their Tumblr blog.

God yes! We can probably all agree it sucks but it was fantastic writing!

it was a really well done episode that made a choice that is going to hopefully open up a lot of new and interesting stories for characters that have stagnated, and people are conflating "this upset me" with "this is bad writing"
