Saving Grace | Sidon X Reader

[Y/N’s PoV] I walked towards Zora’s Domain. I’d never been there, and I’ve heard it was beautiful… and it was loaded with enemies. Lots, and lots of enemies. I had been looking off of a cliff, and noticed that the domain was close. Then, both of these were apparent as I heard a battle cry. And as I turned around, I saw what it was— a group of green lizalfos with some red and blue bokoblins. Great, a bunch of enemies who would happily torment a traveler for fun, I thought to myself as I drew my weapon. A lizalfos darted forward, attempting to stab me with its spear. Luckily, I managed to dodge— unluckily, I dodged backwards, and I was on a cliff. As I began falling, I noticed the group peering down at me. They seemed disappointed they wouldn’t have anything to steal, but seemed entertained enough. I hit the water hard, and the breath got driven out of me. Water closed in around my head. I’m never going to get to the domain, am I? What a horrid way to die this’ll be.. I thought to myself despairingly, and as my lungs began to burn, everything went black.

[Sidon’s PoV] I approached the monsters, preparing to attack before they could strike any travelers or guards. I prepared to strike them while they were distracted, but I noticed a shape tumbling down. Squinting, I noticed— it wasn’t a monster, but a (Hylian/Rito/Whatever your species is). Quickly abandoning the monsters, I dove in after the shape. By the time I reached them, they were under the water and seemed to be flitting out of consciousness. I darted down quickly and grabbed them, putting them on my back and carefully making sure they were secure before swimming quickly to the closest shore. As I reached the shore, I set them down gently and shook them softly. “Hello? Are you alive?” I asked carefully.

[Y/N’s PoV] I blearily opened my eyes. I felt myself being shook by gentle, yet strong hands. As I blinked myself to wakefulness, I noticed there was a red shark above me. This startled me at first, until I realized he was a zora. He backed away, and brightened as he saw me move. He gave a smile, and his sharp teeth seemed to sparkle. “Oh, good! You’re alive. Are you hurt?” I shook my head, trembling a bit. He was absolutely massive, and despite seeming friendly, could absolutely cause harm if he wanted to. He seemed to notice this, and stood up. He held his hand out for me to grab. I hesitated at first, before warily grabbing it— and he pulled me up to my feet. “Apologies! I didn’t mean to frighten you. I am Prince Sidon, pleasure to meet you!” He introduced himself, continuing with, “I promise, I mean no harm to you!” The prince spoke, and as I stood, I realized how silly I must’ve looked. “Y/N. Nice to meet you, too!” I quickly introduced myself. I remembered hearing about this famed prince. “Thank you for saving me. Those monsters sure surprised me.” I chuckled awkwardly, and the prince gave a tiny nod, and only smiled more. “Y/N. What a lovely name. Now, before we’re ambushed anymore, let us go to Zora’s Domain. It is much safer there, even if you weren’t going there originally.” The prince sounded a bit playful at the ‘ambush’ part, but looked expectantly at me. “Oh— yes, I was meaning to go there.” I quickly responded, realizing he was waiting for me to tell him if I was going to the domain. The prince smiled again. “A pleasure to hear! Now, come on!” The prince led the way to the domain, walking side by side with me and making conversation. I couldn’t help but wonder about him. He seemed so charming and brave. Perhaps I would stay at the domain a while longer… it’d be nice to get to know him better.

Sif Catchup

WARNING!! SPOILERS FOR THE END / CLOSE TO END OF RAGNARÖK

———If you were a Valkyrie———

- she'd watch you closely

- just because she was afraid you might encourage Thrúd's longing to be a Valkyrie

- but after Thor died?

- she decided to let you train Thrúd

- she doesn't ask for you to take your mask / helmet off unless it's behind closed doors

- she respects your privacy, and your reasoning for wearing it (probably so nothing attacks your face)

- "I will not pester you, but could you take off the (mask/helmet)? I know why you keep it on, but it's just the two of us. I just want to see your face."

- she doesn't admit it, but she loves seeing your beautiful face

- she likes kissing your forehead when you take it off

- she doesn't like going with you when you fly

- you probably convinced her once

- ...long story short?

- she never accepted going on a fly again.

- she's surprised by the softness of your wings

- but she likes how soft they are.

- Maybe Thor

- he wasn't too happy that Sif left him for you

- a way you guys hug is like a normal hug

- just— y'know— wrapping your arms around each other

- or one of you will rest your head on the other's shoulder or head

- one way you guys cuddle is just by leaning on each other

- another way is by one of you sitting in the other's lap (rarely happens)

- a third way is by you leaning on each other, laying down

- one of you will have your head on the other's chest

- whoever is being laid on will be rubbing the other's head most likely

- She was annoyed a little longer, before checking up on you

- she wasn't sure if they hurt you or not

———If she walked in on you changing———

- she probably wanted to tell or ask you something

- knocked ofc, but you didn't hear her

- it didn't bother her that you were changing, seeing how close you two are

———Everyday life / sorta headcanons———

- she's mainly only nice to you

- with Magni and Modi, she could be mean, or at least a little cruel

- With Thrúd, she is trying to be nice to her, but sometimes her old self comes out

- but she's getting a lot better

- so she is sweet and nice to you, but sometimes she can be mean.

- and those sometimes are only when she's mad or very upset.

- she does have a bit of a temper

- not too big, but she'll snap at others at times

- she really doesn't like Atreus until Ragnarök, then she's fine with him.

- really, she's like a mama bear

- she's protective of you

- at least sometimes 

- though sometimes she may seem a little mean and tough on the outside..

- on the inside, she's sweet and kind.

- and with you, I think you can guess which side she'd show you.

- she, obviously, shows you the inside.

- if you get hurt, she'll probably be all motherly.

- if you hurt yourself, she might gently scold you, telling you to be careful

- if you got hurt / badly hurt because of someone else?

- she'd try to carry you to the healers / safest place

- Thor probably murdered whoever hurt you, seeing how he doesn't want Sif to be sad.

- or, Sif will get Thor to carry you if needed.

- Thor or a Valkyrie is normally with Sif as a sort of guard, since she doesn't keep any weapons but a dagger on her.

- she also doesn't really like to fight.

———After his death———

- she didn't know brok

- but she did know two things

- 1) One more innocent soul, lost because of Odin

- 2) Ragnarök was coming

- she made every moment matter with you

- she wasn't sure that either of you would escape Ragnarök Alive

- she didn't know sindri 

- he doesn't trust her too much

- or like her too much, for being an Aesir

- so you guys didn't really say much to sindri

- after ragnarok, Sif probably said something like

- "I'm sorry for your loss."

- she lost someone she cared about, too.

- at least she didn't lose you?

———If you were sick———

- she sadly wouldn't know what to do

- gods don't get normally get sick, I'm think 

- so, either if it was a curse or it was normal, she'd send you to the healers

- or, she'd ask the healers what to do and keep you in your room.

- luckily some of the healers were human, so they knew what to do for sickness.

- Sif probably made you soup...

- and she probably made you take medicine.

———During your period———

- do goddesses have periods?

- I dunno

- ANYWAYS

- if they do?

- she knew exactly what to do.

- she gave you tea if you liked it

- your periods probably matched up

- ofc, being the past wife of the god of Thunder makes people very willing to give her things, including pads, so she'll give you plenty

- if they don't have periods?

- well, she had no idea what to do. 

- she would ask you what to do for them

- "It isn't killing you? Odd, though preferable that it isn't murdering you."

- she made sure you had enough supplies

- she might've made you tea, too.

- when you told her how painful it was, or could be?

- she pushed you into your bed and gave you plenty of soft things.

- she wants you to stay comfy, and she'll get whatever you need while you stay in bed.

———Soulmate AU———

- funnily enough, she has two soulmates.

- well, had.

- one was Thor

- the other is you

- so yes, she does believe in soulmates.

- or, at least, she happens to love her soulmate.

- "Yes, I do believe in soulmates."

- Your connection: You two can walk in each other's dreams, and talk to each other there, only if you're both asleep.

- Ex: You're asleep, Sif is asleep, and she seems to sense you having a nightmare. She walks in your dreams, and talks to you there if she manages to get your attention.

———If you almost died———

- She quickly darted over to you, letting Thor continue his murder spree on enemies

- "Y/N, no... Y/N, just hang in there, you're going to be fine."

- Well, at least that's what she hoped, even though she said that

- she cut the closest fabric off of whatever it was (not off of her own clothes unless really needed, since there was a flag nearby) using her dagger.

- she quickly wrapped it around your wound, trying to be gentle but she was kind of rough with how fast she wrapped it.

- you don't die:

- "Oh, thank all the gods. You're alive, just like how I said you'd be."

- she was so relieved 

- she was going to hug you, but she didn't want to hurt you any further

- she made sure you stayed somewhere safe, and didn't go on any adventures for at least a week after you've healed.

- and once you did go adventuring, if she couldn't / didn't want to go, she'd make sure Thor kept you safe, or a Valkyrie kept you safe. Maybe even Einherjar.

- if you died:

- "Y/N. Y/N, no, you must keep breathing.. no, no, no! You can't be gone!"

- at first she was in denial, then she was just sad.

- she wouldn't go back to drinking for Thrúd's sake, but she would be sad all of the time.

- Thor and Thrúd tried to keep her somewhat happier, but it only worked sometimes.

———Her reaction to a hybrid———

- you two were probably just chilling in your room 

- suddenly there was a loud sound from the window

- SMACK

- it was like a raven, but bigger and weird looking

- it seemed to be a hybrid of a raven and a wyvern

- ... but  it was pretty dumb-

- it kept running into the window

- then it eventually just settled outside the window on the window sill

- "Sif, have you ever seen anything like this?"

- "No. I don't care about the differences between wild animals, but if you really care about it we can try to learn about it."

- she didn't care too much at first

- but later on, she became more curious

———Piggyback rides———

- nope

- she wouldn't give them

- she wouldn't take them either 

- "You have legs, Y/N. Why do you want a piggy back ride?"

———Big spoon, little spoon———

- You two switch

- but she does like being big spoon sometimes

- she likes being able to protect you

- but she sometimes likes to be little spoon

- she likes the feeling of being protected 

- and just overall being with someone she loves

———If you came back as an Einherjar———

- she had been watching Hrist and Mist train with the Einherjar

- She saw one that looked like you, and Odin was watching the Valkyries train too, so they didn't go for the necks of the Einherjar.

- he noticed that Sif was watching that Einherjar.

- "Ah, Sif, I knew you'd be paying attention to that one, seeing as that one is Y/N."

- she had been surprised, as she expected for you to be feasting in the halls of Valhalla.

- he called you up to the platform

- "I'll let you keep Y/N as you did before. IF, of course, you stay loyal to me. Just a small promise, isn't it?" 

- he seemed to have noticed that Sif wasn't too trusting of him

- When you called Sif's name, and she saw how even in a few minutes, you acted similar?

- well, she did believe it was you, which ofc, it was.

- so ofc, she agreed.

- Odin restored your entire memory

- once you and Sif had walked a bit away, she paused.

- "Y/N, I can't believe it's really you!"

- she had to pull you into a hug

- she had lost you once, so she was so glad that you were back

- she never wanted to lose you ever again.

- she let you out on adventures still, of course, since Einherjar always came back.

- but she hung out with you even more, somehow.

———When you're drunk———

- She saw you and gave you a disappointed, slightly angry look

- "Y/N! I swear.. I loved Thor once, and look what happened when he drank! I also have some experience myself... look, I know what happens when you drink, and I really don't want you to get the bad parts of it."

- she probably sent you to your room

- if she had to do something, she would put you to bed 

- if she didn't have anything to do, she might just let you get it out of your system

- then she'll mention the things you did

- (mainly silly / funny things, let's be honest.)

———Sleeping with each other———

- THE INNOCENT VERSION, DON'T MAKE THIS WEIRD

- she was used to it immediately 

- I mean, she used to sleep in the same bed as Thor for... who knows how long

- you two might cuddle when you are in bed

- someone was being very nice to Sif

- like, as though they had a crush on her

- of course, this could've made you jealous seeing how Sif was talking to them similarly, just without the crush part.

- Sif felt your gaze on her, and she turned and saw your expression.

- "Y/N, are you alright? Or were you just jealous?"

- she figured it out pretty quickly, she's seen plenty of jealousy from others

———If you were a Valkyrie———

- Tbh?

- He'd probably let you train Thrúd behind Sif's back

- He won't ask too much for you to take off your helmet / mask..

- That's because 

- 1) He respects you

- 2) ...if he really wants you to take off your mask, he would just pull it off

- But when he pulls it off, it's mainly when you two are alone

- He doesn't want to make you unhappy

- He'd be even angrier at Kratos when he learns that he killed the other Valkyries 

- He didn't actually really know them, it was only because you cared about them (maybe)

- He might go on a fly with you

- Probably not though

- "A fly? Really? As if you're strong enough. Besides, a fly? Sounds silly."

- When he does, he just goes along with his hammer.

- He doesn't care too much that your wings are soft

- When he does, it's only when he is tired 

- He'll probably force you into a nap with him

- Mainly cause your wings are soft like a blanket

———Your Best Friend + Friends———

- Uhhhhh

- Maybe sif?

- She wouldn't appreciate the fact that he left her for you

- ...but  she was glad that he was with someone who made him truly happy

- Most of the time it's just conversations

- Thrúd might be a friend too

- She would be glad that he found someone to make him happy

- Also the fact that you got him to stop drinking

- well drinking as much

- he rarely drinks now, only when he gets upset by the all-father

- He's a funny and good kid and all

- But he also did murder Thor's son and half brother 

- He'll mainly try to not make you mad

- If he got on Thor's bad side, he might 'subtly' flatter you

- By 'subtly' I mean it's obvious how much he's trying to get off of Thor's bad side

- Heimdall isn't too good of a friend

- While yes, he's one of Thor's many half brothers (I think)

- ...he calls thor names behind his back, and doesn't really respect him

- And I mean if Heimdall is in a very good mood 

- He might give you something nice

- Sometimes he might pity you two for what Odin would do to you if he found out that Thor was close to you

- He doesn't care if you cuddle or hug in front of others

- In fact, he kind of prefers to do it in public sometimes

- he knows that it's like a wolf claiming his territory— it keeps all the others away

- or I guess it'll mainly keep others from wanting to hurt you

- But he doesn't like hugging or cuddling in front of Heimdall or Odin

- Heimdall would tell Odin

- Odin would probably do something to you to try to keep Thor somewhat unhappy

- But when you hug?

- there's quite a few ways

- but the main way?

- Him pulling you towards his chest, probably gently rubbing or caressing your head / face

- He'd wrap both arms around you

- it would be like a bear hug

- he likes feeling like he can protect you 

- which he can protect you, ofc

- or he might sweep you off of your feet

- him having one arm under your knees, one around your waist

- when you do this, you'll probably be hugging his neck

- one way is by him pulling you into his chest, wrapping his arms around you so you can't escape

- He just stood there

- when you finished singing, he was smiling at you

- "Well, now you have to sing for me sometime."

- I don't know who in their right mind was flirting with you

- Probably an Einherjar at the bar (he took you for a drink once) or a dwarf in Svartlfheim (for a check up of sorts)

- But whoever it was? 

- they began flirting with you

- He saw and got very annoyed

- He would stand by you, small bolts of lightning coming off of him (like they did whenever he got angry)

- If it was an Einherjar?

- CRACK!

- ... he smashed their head

- He didn't really think when he was doing it

- but he did know Einherjar always came back 

- If it was a dwarf?

- He didn't smash their head 

- mainly cause that dwarf was probably helpful to whatever was being built 

- But he took a step closer to them

- intimidated the dwarf so much that the dwarf might have wet themselves if they didn't back away as soon as they did

- "Er.. uh, nice to meet you, I think I'm gonna go now!"

- The dwarf's voice was very high pitched— probably with fear

- "Thor, were you jealous?"

- He seemed annoyed still

- "If that's what you want to call it, then sure."

- He wanted to give something (maybe like a flower, or your favorite food from the kitchen)

- He didn't think to knock 

- As he always says, "Too much thinking!"

- He little to never apologizes to others

- He only apologizes to you sometimes, if needed

- at least, he doesn't like taking too much time to plan

- Although he's tough, and is rough to everyone?

- He's gentle to you.

- He would chuckle if you ever tried to pick up his hammer

- He probably has tried to get you a weapon like his 

- But he couldn't find anybody with enough skill

- Because Brok and Sindri, who made his hammer wasn't on his side

- Even though he never shows it?

- He's kinda touch starved 

- well, only for affectionate touch

- whenever he was touched before, it was because of a fight or something (mainly when Odin beat him)

- He drinks a lot less now that he has you

- He drank before because he was kind of stressed

- Now he only drinks when the all-father stresses him out

- sometimes Odin uses you as a threat against Thor, because of how much Thor cares about you

- If you get hurt? 

- it depends how badly.

- Kind of hurt?

- he'll check up on you.

- if it was because of someone, he'd probably do a "blood payment."

- if it was just an accident, he'd treat you like a mother might with a little kid.

- it looked like a Dodher Wyvern but bigger, much prettier, and with more & bigger horns

- unfortunately, Thor was in kind of a bad mood

- so he just straight up, used his hammer and bonked the life out of the wyvern in one hit

- You looked at the corpse for a moment longer, thor barely cast it a glance

- "Thor, have you ever seen anything like this?"

- "No. Why does it matter though? It was just a wild animal, and now it's dead."

- When he did notice, he thought something was wrong

- He quickly grunted a bye, and ended the conversation

- He checked up on you

- "Are you alright?"

- If you admitted:

- He'd just give a nod, acknowledging it

- If you didn't:

- He might not realize

- It was probably Mimir who told him

- But he got jealous before

- So he might have realized

- But he didn't say anything about knowing that you were jealous

- She was in a conversation with a light elf

- The light elf was flirting with her

- Whenever the elf tried to flirt, she ignored it

- But you still got jealous 

- You just stared at the two

- Eventually she saw how you were watching them

- The other gazed at him so intently

- when he realized you were jealous, he laughed

- Then he saw the bottle of mead

- "Oh, c'mon Y/N, did you really-?" 

- He just watched you after asking Mimir what to do

- He gave you a disappointed, yet worried look

- He wasn't sure if he did anything wrong to make you want to drink

- He'd get someone to send you to your room

- You'd probably be throwing things at him to get him out

- "ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT, I'LL LEAVE. CALM DOWN."

———Everyday life / sorta headcannons———

- He'd call you things like a son of a b-, idio-, sunshine

- He would be putting dead things in Sindri's bag sometimes 

- He'd make you armor and weapons, free of charge

- well, you do have to find the materials

- he might make you pay for the weapon or armor with a kiss or something like that

- he enjoys making Sindri clean stuff up sometimes 

- he isn't embarrassed about doing hugs, kisses, or hand holding in public

- In fact, he'd probably do it in public specifically to make people jealous

- you two mainly hang out in Sindri's house

- you can go to Alfheim, but brok can't after Uhm...

- teaching the elves what a "Juicy Nokken" is

- ITS NOT INNOCENT TO SAY THE LEAST

- so you two don't go to Alfheim that often

- he doesn't give compliments that often, but he will compliment you

- If you get badly hurt, there's a few things he might do 

- 1) Grab a bandage or some cloth and wrap it around the wound

- 3) Get Kratos or Atreus to help him by either carrying you, or help tend to your wounds

- But before Kratos carried you, he wrapped the wound

- His hands can be surprisingly graceful and quick 

- You don't die:

- He'd be relieved

- You opened your eyes to him next to you

- His eyes were red and puffy, but he didn't seem like he had been crying

- when he saw you were alive:

- "Well, sh-. You're alive!"

- He would keep you in the house at least a week after you have healed

- If you tried to leave before then:

- "Oh, no no nope. Ya aren't gonna leave yet." 

- If you went out to adventure, he'd either

- 1) Go with you

- 2) Get Atreus (or freya), or Mimir to watch you to make sure you are safe.

- If you did die:

- "Y/N! NO, YA AREN'T ALLOWED TO LEAVE ME! C'MON, HANG IN THERE!"

- Whoever didn't help, he'd blame them

- "THIS IS YOUR FAULT! ALL YOUR F-ING FAULT! IF YOU HELPED, THEY WOULD STILL BE ALIVE!"

- His voice would be breaking / cracking

- He would probably drink more often

- He might be a little closer to sindri, and not close to whoever didn't help

- He would trust others a little less

- He might make less snarky comments or responses

- Probably be a little more quiet, and seem more tired than usual

———Their reaction to a hybrid———

- You, Sindri, Atreus, and Brok were at Sindri's house 

- Kratos was on a sort of adventure with Freya

- You got brok to come outside the house

- But there was a sort of Lindwyrm outside

- It looked like a mix of  Dragon and a lindwyrm, since it had wings

- But it was friendly

- it still seemed like a young lindwyrm, too

- "What the f-? What is that?"

- Brok was very confused

- He didn't know too much about monsters, but he knew that there weren't any known hybrids 

- He wanted to brag about it to others

- He probably told sindri something like

- "Look at what Y/N and I discovered! It's better than anything ya could ever find."

- He was mainly smug about it to others, but he was actually curious 

- he probably asked Mimir about it

———Big spoon, little spoon———

- He'd probably be a big spoon

- Sometimes he would be a little spoon

- He likes the feeling of being able to protect you as a big spoon

- He's a confident one, so he doesn't really think that he needs protecting

- But he'll mainly be a little spoon if he's in a bad mood

- it makes him feel like you'll protect him from all of his problems

Also sorry I don't really know how to write brok, so I'm just trying my best- same for sindri ;v;
