what if nothing we did changed anything (what if we had the power to change everything). what if I forgot how to be myself (what if I only remembered you). what if none of it mattered (what if we were the only things that mattered). what if it was inevitable (what if it was all our fault). what if I couldn't live without you (what if I ached with the weight of two souls overlapping). what if we were already dead (what if we never existed in the first place). what if I forgot my own name (what if I gave you mine).

fast food mascot yaoi is tired. what the world needs is fast food toxic yuri. and no I don't mean wendys x starbucks siren or whatever the fuck. we need middle-aged women who wear silly outfits and make stupid burgers and hate each others' fucking guts doing rivals-to-lovers. NOW. this is my oracle's proclamation

i agree w/ entropywritez on that reblog, i generally write in third person and i generally write it with however the character wants to be referred to in that moment. other characters can use different ones for whatever reason, but the narrator ascribes to the trans characters preference . when it comes to approaching the story itself assuming the story involves the realization theyre transgender, i try really hard to think about what would make them realize it, and how they go about it, and if they had suspicions in the past, what were they? very character first approach, hope this helps im rambling LOL
oh I only just saw this but tyvm for this! I appreciate the perspective.

guess who’s got more dating sim content? introducing objecthead over heels, my newest cursed dating sim project! originally intended as a very simple and silly way for me to build my game-making skills, now with way more work put into it because I’m insane! /lh
[image ID: a banner that reads “objecthead over heels dating sim” featuring four chibi-style objecthead characters, followed by four character pages, one for each character in the banner: a. hollis, a slim computer mouse head in a turtleneck, blazer, and skirt; mason victrole, a fat vintage record player head in collared shirt, beige sweater and holding two books; indie guevara, a lanky tube tv head in a red fast food uniform polo and visor; and daisy vo, a thin polaroid camera head with a few visible tattoos in a green t-shirt, an apron, and holding a can of peas.
character page transcriptions:
a. hollis, she or whatever pronouns, 22. parapsycholoy & demonology major. likes sweets and long video essays, dislikes grass and security guards. extrovert, mostly optimistic, chaotic, and more evil than good.
mason victrole, he/him, 20. art history major. likes cool glass and mystery novels, dislikes meat and puppets. introverted ambivert, slight optimist, mostly lawful, and mostly good.
indie guevara, pronouns unknown, 21. shift manager at burgo foodtime. likes weird movies and sleep, dislikes breakfast and public transit. ambivert, balanced optimist and pessimist, more chaotic than lawful, neutral on good and evil.
daisy vo, she/her, 20. grocery store employee. likes tattoos and rodents, dislikes horror and scrap-booking. introvert, more pessimistic than optimistic, more lawful than chaotic, neutral on good and evil. end ID]

Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.

hi everyone. had an idea that I'd like to hear if people would be into.
as the madman behind many weird little blog ideas, I was recently thinking about a blog where people could put up story ideas and/or characters that they no longer want or aren't going to work on/with BUT that they want to give a chance at being picked up by others, like a story / character orphanage where other people can take these things and run with them.
this would very much be about creative collaboration and community-based approaches to creative work, and not about ownership or selling/buying things, as with adopts. a public domain idea space, so to speak. very much just a place for ideas that are fair game for all, with the understanding that everyone would do their best to be respectful and kind to each other.

happy tdov everyone. any other trans writers out there want to discuss approaching writing a character who doesn't know they're trans at the beginning of a story? I would love some more opinions! (dm, replies, or askbox - any are good)
