Let's also not forget basically everything with Yavana, Morrigan's sister who had only ever been helpful to Alistair & co., who he's consistently suspicious of because Morrigan is suspicious, who he just sort of stabs out of nowhere.

This is the second time that I read about a guy stabbing a woman through with a sword in an infuriating way in something Gaider wrote and the moment I had the realization that Gaider has some issues with women and will continuously write moments like this. Alistair's actions here are completely unjustified. I literally reread this page like 4 times because I still don't understand what reason he had for this.

I've seen a lot of people say Gaider can't write women, but I wasn't able to find any specific examples/explanations. Looking at the female characters he's written in the games, none of them are my favorites but I can't think of anything misogynistic/sexist about their writing. Is this a problem that's more blatant in his novels (which I haven't read)? I've found your discussions on his writing the Dalish and his attitudes towards Indigenous people really enlightening, and it really does seem that he isn't a particularly great writer in many ways, despite the world he's helped create.

It is EXTREMELY blatant in the novels, yes. Also in the comics he wrote, with Isabela. @sha-brytols has been posting recently about Adrian in Asunder if you want some examples right away, (and I also have a whole commentary series on Asunder here,) but I think you make an excellent prompt for me to perhaps write a full detailed examination of how Gaider treats the female characters in his novels and comics. And actually, where I've been struggling to find the words lately while working on my qunari piece, I might press pause on that to switch gears and write this next...

My girlfriend's old wheelchair (hatefully dubbed The Deathchair) had massive big logos for the manufacturer on it. She did not want to advertise it because it broke several times and had broken her ribs one of the times that it broke. It is supremely gross that a mobility aid manufacturer can design a chair to break and simultaneously turn the poor unfortunate souls stuck with that model of chair into billboards for their company.

Does anyone else find it gross when mobility aids have big ass brand logos on them? Like I don't want to be walking advertisement, it feels gross

The snuggle is real

When Ariel traded her voice for legs, she never expected this much motion. She and Esmeralda ran through Paris, avoiding police and dancing for coins. At first, Ariel was uncertain on her feet, but she loved the feelings that surged up in her chest as she did. 

Although they always had chemistry while dancing, Ariel was unsure of Esmeralda’s feelings.  Much of the time, while dancing, Esmeralda would lead her into a dip and linger seconds longer than necessary. It could have been her imagination, but their faces were so close, and she could feel the woman’s breath hot on her face.

Thank you! I am so glad you like it! I had a lot of fun with figuring out how I was going to make her recognizable but also more grown up!

There's a lot of little details:

I gave Boo the neon green glasses for Mike Wazowski of course and it's on her forearm crutches and shoes.

I tried to make Lilo's room look like the doors scene in the opening of monsters inc with the great music and used some screencaps of Lilo and Stitch the series to know what Lilo's room would look like.

I initially was looking for experiments from the show that would look a bit like Randall but decided it would be better if the experiment was a totally new one.

The experiment was very nearly this guy, Slobber, from the comics. But I didn't like how the coloring was coming out and I felt like he doesn't look enough like Randall to immediately get the connection.

The last frame of Lilo has tiny hearts in her eyes but VEEEEERY TINY.

It was in this moment that Lilo had some idea that she was developing feelings~

Is there tumblr bookbinders that... aren't hardbinding fanfic? Like, love and light and all support to them that do, but i want someone or a community who i can talk about experimenting and fucking around and doing nuts things with my covers and dyeing pages or weird measurements for books. Like, bookbinding as a weird mixed media art being the focus, rather then what's in the pages, if that makes sense? Is there anyone out there?
