เผปเผปเผปโ‹‡โ‹†โ™งโ‹†โ‹‡เผบเผบเผบ Caterpillar || EP3 of My Alice In Borderland Game Concepts
เผปเผปเผปโ‹‡โ‹†โ™งโ‹†โ‹‡เผบเผบเผบ
Name: Caterpillar
Difficulty: 4โ™ง
Player Count: 8
Time: 20 minutes
Venue: Central Park
Game: The players will put themselves in one of the sections of Caterpillar suit (similar to a Chinese Dragon suit). Within each section, there is a letter which dictates which of the 8 compass direction (ex: NW, S, SE) that player will be facing for the entirety of the game. The person in front is always facing North. Once every player has entered a section and faced the appropriate direction, the game commences. During the game, players cannot communicate with each other. The person in front is the only person who can see the pathway, communicate with the other players, and have a map which shows who is facing which direction. The players must traverse through the trail while overcoming obstacles that arise to get pass the finish line at the end of the trail, marked by a checkered line. If all the players can make it to the finish line within the time limit, it's game cleared, but if they fail, gasses will be sprayed to suffocate them within the suit.
Game Clear: All players make it passed the finish line
Game Over: Fail to get all players to make it passed the finish line
Rules:
-Players must always remain in the caterpillar suit
-Players must always face their assigned direction
-Players must not touch the grass and stick solely on the trail
-Players may not communicate with each other with the exception of the front
-Players may not purposely move an obstacle out of the way and must overcome it
-If a Player breaks a rule and dies, its automatic game over
Hidden Rules and Solution: Obstacles are not lethal but manipulate the way you move. Such things include as obstacle blocks which forces the player into a certain entries or forces them to jump across a certain elevation, swing sets and wind machines which attempts to knock the players off balance, and at the end, there is a long staircase which the players must traverse before reaching the finish line. The solution of the game is quite simple. The game and time limit doesn't start until everyone gets into their suits, so the players can go one at one and tell the others the direction which they have. During the game, players should find a rhythm and walk in unison which combats the fatal mistakes of someone falling over, creating a domino effect, and wasting the group valuable time.
Themes: The Game explores the themes of Uniformity, Spatial awareness, Communication and Rhythm.

โ•šโ•โ• โ‰ช ยฐโฌจยฐ โ‰ซ โ•โ•โ• Charges || EP2 of My Alice In Borderland Game Concepts
โ•šโ•โ• โ‰ช ยฐโฌจยฐ โ‰ซ โ•โ•โ•
Name: Charges
Difficulty: ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿขโฌจ
Player Count: 12
Time: 30 minutes (2 mins per round, 30 sec per intermission)
Venue: Electrical power plant
Game: The game comprises a bunch of a large play area of checkerboards like electrical tiles. Participants are given phones and placed on opposite side where each side's participants starts with a varying integers of charges either positive or negative depending on the side they started on. Each round, the monitor in the middle of the game board will show a sequence of arrows pointing either North, East, South, West based on the game board perception rather than the player's perspective which the participants have to memorize. Each correct movement rewards the player with a positive charge, while each wrong movement penalize the player with a negative charge, and the next direction is in play. Participants must use up all the movement based on the amount shown on the sequence, and may not intersect a tile they had already stepped on in the same round. During anytime, the players may exchange charges with each other if they are within arms length (you must be able to touch the person), Player can use the phones they have been provided with to exchange or receive charges (you can't exchange simultaneously). Exchanges must be agreed on both parties and the maximum one can exchange depends on how much until it hits neutral charge (for example If I have -5 charge, I could give only -5 charge max).
Game Clear: Have a neutral charge at the end of the game
Game Over: Have a positive or negative charge
Rules:
-Violence is prohibited
-Players must use up all their movements
-Players mustn't leave the play area
-Exchanges are made in consensual agreement on both parties
-Players can only exchange up until their charge is Neutral
-Rebelling is Encouraged
Hidden Rules and Solution: The Values of charges are actually predetermined and each person on each side have another who has the same integer as theirs (ex: -6 and +6) same with the sequence. The Rebelling is Encouraged rule isn't in reference to the game rules but a rebellion on one's initial rationality and willingness to venture in the world of the nonsensical. Keeping in mind of the theme of the game, the positive player should follow the entire sequence while the negative player should act in the opposite direction told by the instruction. The sequence should allow them to accumulate equal amount of integer respective of their charges and be able to trade with one another in the last sequence and therefore allowing both to have a neutral charge
Themes: The Game explores the themes of Rebellion, rationality and irrationality, prediction, and cooperation

*mobile edition
Personal Intro (You can just skip this one):
Hey, I haven't been active on Tumblr since the dawn of the millennium, but I've been having a resurgence of my Alice in Borderland hyperfixation. I've been in this weird ass fixation on concepts for the games themselves and the strategies employed to counter the obstacles of the games. Personally I think I would specialize more with the hearts game because personally I find them the easiest for someone like me, and I'm really proficient at social deduction games and reading people (though in practice you can never know what to expect). I made me thought that If I were a citizen in the games, what face card I would be in charge of? Then I thought queen of hearts would be my specialty even though I'm male, and it brought me to today's game. I think I'm gonna to make this a series even though I'm not a frequent social media user (Tumblr is literally my only gate to the outside world and social media that I use) as the blog has always been about expressing my creativity and ideas. For those concern about my other types of post dw I will still discuss it alongside the Alice in Borderland stuff. Anywho, with that being said, I would like to say lastly that I'm open to criticism, suggestion and clarifying anything about rules and my concepts are open for the public domain as long as I am credited and linked.
Name: The Queen's Revolution
Difficulty: Qโ™ก
Player Count: Min-๐Ÿค๐Ÿข
Time Limit: ๐Ÿฅ minutes per round
Venue: Castle Hotel (Ballroom)
Game: The Queen of Hearts is presented on top of the ๐Ÿค parallel stairways where she introduces the player to her game and introduce the rules. underneath her and between the ๐Ÿค stairways is a giant monitor. Each round the participants must anonymously vote on one of them to present themselves to the Queen of Hearts. The amount of votes towards which players is shown on the monitor but who voted for who is not revealed. The Queen will declare a decree which may either benefit or harm the player which usually have some prevalence to the theme of emotional and social manipulation and leads to casualties. In the case of a tie, all the participants involved in the tie will present themselves to the Queen. The players may attempt to revolt against the Queen and clear the game once per round if someone declares it and the game will conclude once an unanimous vote is casted resulting in the queen's death. The monitor will also show how many voted against ending the game.
Game Clear: Unanimously agree to revolt against the Queen Game Over: Queen eliminate all the participants
Rules:
-Weapons are prohibited
-Violence or Attempts of Violence is strongly prohibited
-Directly Murdering or Maiming any of the participants is prohibited
-Participants must be present in the Ballroom at all times
-Participants must vote for another Participants
-Participants must Oblige to the Queen's Decree
Hidden Rules and Solution: Although the Queen of Hearts is ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿข๐Ÿข% truthful during the explaination of the rules, throughout the game, the Queen of Heart is not obligated to tell the truth during the game (except with decrees though she may use uncanny wording) and may say anything as a way to manipulate the game. The Hidden variable which changes the game dynamics is that the unanimous vote to revolt the Queen must also include her too. After discovering this, the participants need to convince the Queen of Hearts herself to vote with them.
Potential Examples of Decrees and Queen's Lies:
Convincing the players that there is a traitor amongst them
Convincing them there is a round limit
Convincing them about the aftermath of beating the Face Cards
Convincing them about the votes and who voted what
Convincing them about new added rules
Convincing them that she'll vote along them when she won't
Decree which allows the voted player to eliminate any amount of player which voted them
Decree which simply eliminates that player
Decree which arms the individual with a revolver and tasks them with eliminating a player only for it to be a dud
Decree which forces the individual to reveal all their votes
Decree which forces every player except the voted to confess a dark secret or desire which must be truthful
Decree which gives the voted player temporary Queen power which allows them to make their own Decree aslong as it doesn't violate the Queen's positions and rules
Themes: The Game explores the themes of Mob Mentality as well as Revenge and Spite and finally Persuasion

Sometimes, I ship things not because I actually think they would work out but for the absurdity of it. An example of this is Luigi x Bowser. Do I think they would actually be compatible? No. Do I love it to be Canon? No. However, the absurbity of it allures me to ship those two ironically. This also applies to cargo ships where you ship a character with a fucking object.

Something I wish was more prevalent in fiction, especially when it comes to romance, is that I wish authors would resist from bluntly stating a love interest as conventionally beautiful, handsome or attractive and instead turn to describing and exemplifying what's allures someone to the love interest. I think a good example of this is in โ€œI Fell in Love with Hopeโ€ where Sam becomes attracted to Hikari due to the sun in her eyes, which reminiscences him of his former lover. That develops a character further and makes me invested into their dynamic, rather than the same overused and frankly cringeworthy depiction of sole physical attraction.

One of my minor pet peeves in fiction is that it's always the same type of people who occupy certain archetypes. It's always the nerdy Asian, The butch lesbian, the emfeminate homosexual, the black deliquent, and the mean blonde girl. I wish we could see more of the delinquent Asian, the feminine lesbian the hypermasculine homosexual, the nerdy black, and the Hispanic mean girl. I'm not saying we need to absolutely obliterate these character archetype as I still enjoy them but I would like to see a more diverse population of types of people filling these archetype rather than constantly same ones as the one we keep seeing are built on stereotypical perception of these type of people.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion, but when it comes to fictional characters, people should (to an extend of course) be able to ship any characters together no matter how many times they actually interact with eachother or nonsensical it can be. Can't I just ship 2 characters together simply just because they would look good as a couple together. People who try to enforce their ships down our throats are simply self-righteous assholes who contribute to the toxicity of a fandom. Ultimately, these characters are playgrounds for our imaginations to experiment with, and we should be able to visualize these characters in any way without shame from other people.

Some of my favourites and least favourite relationship tropes
Enemies To Lovers:
Even though I'll admit it's kinda overrated, It's one of my favorites. The (often sexual) tension between the two characters and how their detestation for each other develops into sweet caresses and cuddles always catch me off guard. This trope also can apply to many different type of media's and fiction which is why I love it so much.
Star-crossed Lover:
Probably the most underrated trope in my opinions. Even though most people indulge in romance for the fluff rather than the tragedy, The Star-crossed really indulges me by how it captivates the determination to defy logic and fate even if it inevitably fails and it leads to an interesting read
Right Person, Wrong Time:
Same at the previous one, but instead, they were always meant for each other yet couldn't due to special circumstances. I quite enjoy imagining how they could've been if that had more time and met eachother earlier or later throughout the story. Again, tragedy is too underrated and needs more appreciation.
Witch x Witch Hunter:
It's such a niche trope, yet I believe we need more of it and have some gay and saphics ones for once. Usually this trope follows an Enemies To Lovers storyline which I already consume once every 5 hours and add magic and tension between the two and you one fucking masterpiece, why is this trope so niche.
Supernatural Being X Supernatural Being:
One pet peeve I have with fantasy is that whenever there is a relationship there is always atleast one who is a basic ol human being. It frustrates me that it's never something like Elf x Tiefling or Dwarf x Changling or Kobold x Dragonborn or a fucking Lovecraftian squid and a biblically accurate angel , on of the individuals is always a human being.Humans are already fucking narcissist. I want to indulge in unconventional romance, romance which delves you in a fantasy vast away from our plane of our existence. I want to see beings who most perceive as vile and vicious being loving with eachother. For me the less humanoid it is, the more intriguing it is for me.
Last Minute Love Interest:
Don't you detest when you're reading about the intimate relationship between two characters, their woes, hopes and vulnerabilities revealed to eachother, the distance between them tightens closer and closer. THEN FOR FUCKING REASON ANOTHER CHARACTER WHO SUDDENLY BECOMES REVELANT SNATCHES ONE OF THE CHARACTERS AND YOU'RE LEFT FUCKING UNSATISFIED. I'm sorry but this is quite possibly the worst trope of all of literature and just a cheap gag that ruins the point of what I'm reading. If you want me to become invested in a relationship between two characters, you need to develop some time, and give each of them revelancy, NOT JUST SOME LAST MINUTE PLOT TWIST THAT DIMINISHES THE 300 PAGES AND HOURS OF MY MISERABLE LIFE. Half of the time the guy who shows up last second doesn't even look conventionally attractive at all.
Arranged Marriage:
Irl Arranged Marriages are one of the sickening things an individual meant to care for you can commit. I hate that this ship glorifies arranged marriages as 99% you're going to end up with some creepy ass middle man and you're viewed as an doll, incapable of autonomy and useful for economic or political gain rather than an individual who should get to love who they actually love.
The Brother's Bestfriend:
In actuality it's not that bad but I personally find it putrid, if you know anything about siblings, it's that them and their friends are viles and disgusting cretins, scruffling around the house like cockroaches, riddled with cheeto dust. There's also usually the weird age gap and don't you think it's awkward to date someone whose also simultaneously your sibling best friend and worse if they become your ex.
Possessive Boyfriends:
Now I'm not talking about the jealous boyfriend archetype or even the protective one but rather the ones who treat their signicant others as possession rather than individuals. I fucking hate the line "I own you" or "You're mine" because it signifies authority and superiority something I believe shouldn't be prevalent in a relationship. It's worse when the individual won't allow their SO to go out with friends or do their own things cause inevitably at the day its say it with me A B U S E.

Instead of the stereotypical trope where Character A does something heinous toward Character B, they both distance from each other, and magically, they make up whatsoever. I want to see an alternative where Character B already forgives/knows of Character A's insidious action and doesn't resent them for it yet Character B is overwhelmed by guilt of the situation and decides to better themselves for Character A.
