So I accidentally wrote every single one of my characters into a zelda-esque reincarnation timeloop situation. like every single one I've ever created. i'm trying to create the timeline for myself now, probably centering the canon around my self-inserts because yes I do have enough of an ego to literally always have a self-insert. the timeline splits at more than one point. i don't know who's a reincarnation of who yet (aside from aforementioned obvious self-inserts).

and this leads to another question of who I actually consider my self-insert, and therefore who is actually in this spiraling new canon. I have a self-insert who is only introduced as a time traveler in the victor hugo/voltaire fanfic, are they their own character or one of the other self-inserts starting shit? does my reader-insert who everyone knows is my self-insert count? and what the HELL do I do with current and planned real person fic? I don't even have room in the current canon for the fanfic that will be written about my college friend group, and writing that thing in this stupid continuous timeloop will... raise questions about my new self-insert's relationship to previous self-inserts, as this self-insert will be LITERALLY JUST ME.

I would just delete the sentences that create the timeloop problem, but it's honestly fire writing and now I'm kind of attached to the dilemma, you know?
