the snow drifts down from the sky as I sit on the ground, pants soaking through as they are not made for such weather. it is so cold out, my nose hurts. but I'm not sure I can go back inside, not yet. it is only when he approaches do I even take my eyes from the sky. he says something, a question.

"I'm not sure," I chuckle, shaking my head and allowing snow to fall from the darkness of it. he purses his lips and offers his hand, but I don't take it. he begins to remind me how cold it is. "I'm fine," I lie. he kneels next to me, cringing as his jeans dampen in the cold wetness. he takes my hand, feeling how cool it is.

"if you're so concerned, why don't you warm me?" I joke. his lips meet mine in an instant, shutting me up quickly. a blush lights up my cheeks, and I blink at him. "I guess going inside won't hurt."
