Violets are Blue, My Blue Valentine

Valentine’s Day is finally here and the Blue Valentine Cocktail is a delicious drink pairing for your cannabis-loving Valentine. 

Let’s start with the Ingredients.

Blue Valentine

-3oz Blue Curaçao

-2oz El Guitarron (Wine-based Tequila Substitute)

-4oz CannaVinus

-Ice

-Blend

Did you Know?

Blue Curaçao, for those of you who may not know, has an orange flavor to it even though it is blue. It’s actually really delicious but a little on the sweeter side. With that in mind, I added ice and CannaVinus to balance it out.

Now, I'm sure many of you read, “wine-based tequila substitute” and was either immediately confused or turned off from this recipe. But hear me out, there are two main differences between Tequila and El Guitarron. Tequila is distilled and on average is around 40% ABV. El Guitarron is 100% Blue Agave and is fermented like wine. Therefore it is only 24% ABV. It’s smooth and doesn’t have a burning finish like most spirits. Plus, if you’re worried about not getting enough alcohol, double the El Guitarron and now your drink is 48%.

CannaVinus 4/20 5K Run

Am I the only one who would use a vacation day on 4/20? I know it has been less than 10 days since the new year started but 4/20 is on SATURDAY this year! Can you tell I’m excited?

We have put coziness in a cup! Especially with the lack of snow in Miami, it can be a challenge to embrace the holiday season in 87 degree weather.
