Bolero de principios de siglo (1900s)

Hace un tiempo que estoy dentro del mundo ‘vinted’ donde de vez en cuando y con paciencia puedes encontrar piezas de indumentaria antigua maravillosas (si lo estas pensando, te lo recomiendo salen prendas maravillosas para la recreación de 1900s en adelante). Lo cierto es que encontré este precioso bolero negro con maravillosos adornos como; pequeñas bolitas forradas de hilo, los botones forrados o el trabajo de pasamanería... pero a la vez con la necesidad de restaurar el forro interior.  

Así que tocaba restaurar el forro dañado justo en la parte central donde estaba la etiqueta, volver a coser el lateral anterior (foto lateral derecho) y quitar todas las bolitas que se habían hecho por el roce. 

Lo complicado de este proyecto no ha estado en reparar el bolero sino en la búsqueda de alguna fuente bibliográfica donde se viera una pieza parecida a esta como la de la imagen de la revista Moniteur de la Mode (superior, Varios conjuntos de primavera, grabado de moda firmado Manon. Moniteur de la Mode 1907). 

Alrededor del año 1907 se ven muchas ilustraciones de revistas con mangas anchas de tipo ‘capa’ en vestidos como en chaquetas o sobretodos que he recogido en una carpeta en pinterest, por si alguien quiere inspiración o ver algún original.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)
