Update! I've been getting better and in the mean time have been sculpting some easier stuff just to feel more productive! Not many to go (about 12? There are more finished designs not seen in this render) before there will be a complete roster of Baby I Digimon, which'll be available in the shop once I recover properly and have frequent access to my printer. To make things a little financially easier, the Baby Is (and eventually Baby IIs) will be free pack-ins for Rookie listings. e.g. Agumon will now come with a Botamon and Koromon for free! I'll make sure customers can request different Baby Is & IIs with their chosen Rookie. Baby Is and IIs will still be available individually, but only as hand-painted releases.

Health update

Hello! It's gonna be a while before I can update anything here or open the store again. I recently had an operation on my spine and have been resting up since. I've been growing frustrated this past week not being able to do any sculpting, but so It goes. I just have to take rest seriously, so even typing this is not great for my neck and I'll have to be brief! They say it takes about 3 months recovery in total, so that's a huge chunk of time taken out of my goals for this year! Damn, oh well.

In the mean time I'll think of more Digimon to sculpt and eventually they'll amount to enough to restructure the pricing in the shop.

Hi there, thanks for the interest! Unfortunately, I'm not selling the STLs yet. There've been issues with piracy in the past so I've made it a blanket policy not to do so, at least for now. I am not entirely sure how to navigate the selling of STLs and how it'd affect the sales of my printed stuff. I'd likely have to set my prints apart by painting them. Thanks again!

New sculpts! Have been busily sculpting commissions but managed to sneak in these guys as they were quick and easy to sculpt! Let's see if I have the time tomorrow to print em off and add em to the store.

Babies

Have I mention I get distracted? I do. I have that AncientSphinxmon still on the go, then got the bright idea to make an Angemon and then a Dinomon and then a Gomamon and then a Togemon and here we are. The baby Digis are certainly a good break from the more intense designs! They're also less popular, but I don't mind that. I can cover wide ground with the Baby Digimon as they're so easy to sculpt. And since they're smaller, simpler and sold at a cheaper price to the other Digimon, I think at some point I'll sell them in batches at reduced prices!

Togemon!

Had a lot of fun with this one. She's an easy sculpt but not an easy finished piece because of those needles. I actually had the idea of the needles before making this, so bought some very thin elastic string prior to making her. I'm glad it worked!

Made Zenimon last year for my store, but as I can't find any reference for his back I've been putting it on hold. Maybe he'll appear in Time Stranger and we'll finally find out if he looks like a 5 yen coin from back, too! Anyway, other than needing some adjustments to the print, this was a fun and easy one to make. I'll add him to the store soon!

Angemon WIP

Just testing balance and scale with a print. The wings add a lot of bulk, but it’s no more work than the Lowemon I did. I don’t wanna charge extra, so I may scale him down a little bit so that his mass still scales.

Naturalistic scenes within the Pokemon world have always captivated me. Is the following a spicy take? I dunno, but: seeing them in new ways - and I think the cards are good at this - ironically enrich the world building of Pokemon more than the games do.

Doing more popular Digimon for the store, so Angemon is up next. Here's a WIP. Boots, staff and wings to go. And...writing? Do I add the text to his sashes? The figure will be 5cm tall, am I mad? AncientSphinxmon is still being worked on. It's tricky figuring out how to have its proportions in keeping with the rest of the figures while also not being massive once printed! lol

I like this very much. Really striking colour scheme, and the sky at the top between the buildings can read as a skull too, which is apt!

Got another up in the store! I actually made Ukkomon last year, but have only just gotten around to cleaning it up and posting it!

A tricky thing with this design is that Ukkomon is transparent, and the core that's visible in their body is not obviously doable in solid, grey resin. Even clear resin would mean having to insert a separate part inside it, and that'd warrant a higher price. So, cheaper option it is. Other than that, a very easy one to make! They were chosen via random number generator when I started this project. As I'm doing more popular designs right now, I've yet to get back to more obscure ones. I'll def do so in about 3 designs' time, though!

Gabumon and Lopmon

I’m happy that I’m releasing more figures to the shop this month. Didn’t want it to just be Diatrymon! So here’s the Gabumon I finished recently, and managed to make a Lopmon too cos he’s easy. Mod that sculpt a bit and Terriermon shouldn’t be too far behind!

Last WIP of Gabumon before he's done! Just a render. The design is a lot more involved than most other Digimon rookie designs, so it was a fun challenge trying to shrink stuff down and have it not be too busy. But then, some Digimon benefit from being visually busy! (Mega designs I'm looking at you). Should be finishing it up today and hopefully printing it ready to sell in the store soon after!
