As someone who has been begging Mihoyo in every ToT survey to give us ‘quick replay’ for levels we have already completed…the absolute bliss this update has given me is indescribable

Been playing for over a year and never knew half of this. I cannot express how broken hearted I was during Levi’s 2022 birthday where I was a few card fragments short from getting his UR. Never again, this mean war

infodump about grinding in obey me with strategy & efficiency for no other reason than I have had a lot of coffee today (f2p friendly)

credentials: i've been living in hell for almost two years now kiddos. feel free to dm me if i missed anything or ask questions or whatever lol

table of contents: beginner tips // maximizing dp/dv // events // grimm/leveling cards // raven // battles // when should i spend money?

beginner tips:

do not spend any resources on cards below SSR level

always use all of your AP. If you want to grind, you can get 50 more AP once you run out by watching ads.

it is definitely worthwhile to purchase the 200 AP for 10 DP once a day since you can earn it back via the dailies. It's available every 12 hours so if you can manage the 2nd time per day it depends on what you are grinding for and if it is limited (i.e. i usually do this during events only)

when grinding, prioritize events, then devil tree items for cards you need to level.

after hard levels are up to lesson 30 or so, you really don't need to continue unless you want to get the card pieces that are only available further on (RIP human world outfit wanters)

i don't have the patience to do this but if you do, the AP you receive usually has a final day you can collect. to maximize grinds, save these until a new event starts/the last day it is available (do not miss out on these tho)

maximizing dp/dv:

always do at least 7 of the daily quests to get 18 dp

TEN PULLS ONLY. You are not guaranteed an SSR/UR every 10 pulls, only if you do a 10-pull. Single pulls are a waste of DV

Every event gives you 10 DV in the first page. If you grind the event, you can always get the featured SSR and 10 DV

Whenever Levi's bootcamp starts up, it means you'll have enough time to do a lonely devil event. I recommend grinding one of these instead of the bootcamp (unless you have a lot of devil trees you want to level up)

every time it is offered and you have enough dp, buy the level-up set with 5 DV. It's offered less frequently at the start but once you get high enough level it will be offered every level

in the early game I know you want to gamble away your life savings on these pretty URs but be strategic- only pull for characters you like or UR colors you need. You should be trying for at least one of every color, preferably 2 or 3 of each color.

Never pay money for DV unless you can afford it and the card you want is one of the pity cards. If it's not a pity card it's not guaranteed.

Do not waste DV on rerun events unless you're really passionate about a certain card. The drop rates are usually lower.

Do not waste DV on Chapter A or Chapter M since they're always there and you get a free pull every two days. You'll get your blorbo eventually. The devs also sometimes do events where you get 50 free pulls on these

Spend DP on: Solomon's Summoning Sale, the level-up sale with 5 DV, the 10 dp AP refresh. Any time you can get 5 DV for 100 DP or less is worth it

Spend DV on: 10-pulls only! Featured events only!

Don't forget you can but DV with raven as well

NEVER NEVER NEVER USE DP FOR PULLS

events:

Regular events always come back on Lonely Devil about 6 months after their release. Do NOT waste resources trying to get the UR unless you are willing to pay money to get AP

Birthday events DO NOT come back (or at least, they haven't thus far). save energy drinks for these- but I'd recommend only doing this with your favorite characters and/or UR colors you need

If you don't like the character who is having a birthday event, this is a great time to do a LD event since you can't get DVs from birthday events and the items are all centered around that character

always always always grind regular events. you don't have to read the story if you don't care about it

cheat cards are your friend but they only work when the event is featured, they will not work if you do it from LD. So if you have a bunch of cheat cards and you really want the UR, this is the only time I would use energy drinks to grind as far as you can without spending money on AP

grimm/leveling cards:

having no grimm is not a bad thing! it means you are getting good cards and leveling them! channel your inner mammon, spend that grimm

prioritize leveling URs. you may need to level a few SSRs because of the sin color though

The first 15 levels or so are really easy to get by just doing battles. Every battle you do with a card is a little less grimm you'll need to level

once you have URs of all seven sins, you can start using grimm only to complete the dailies (5 devil tree levels and 3 card levels) and save up that way

on your birthday, devil tree leveling will be half off. start saving grimm a month or two before yo have enough to blow your savings lmao

sorry y'all, there's no get rich quick scheme. you just gotta grind battles and hope for blessings from mamms

don't forget to level your memory cards! these can be just as helpful/powerful as regular URs so they can fill the gaps on what you may not have in regular cards

raven

the easiest way to get raven is via chapter G to fulfill the daily 3x pulls using grimm

after doing 10 pulls for a couple of months, you will have gotten 10 copies of some of the cards and you'll get raven instead of more copies. eventually you'll get the the point where you're getting mostly raven

use raven for: demon form outfit(s) of your choice (it's not efficient or strategic but it sparks joy), DVs, fulfilling birthday tasks by buying the character's favorite food with raven and saving DP

battles

always use all three cards specials at once if you can. sometimes a card is incapacitated and you might have to go on without them

sometimes you'll have trouble with the enemy inflicting ailments, if you have a card with comparable strength that can counter try swapping it in

only use glow sticks once you have already failed a lesson (unless you have an obscene amount from forgetting about the main story like myself lmao)

you can beat a level if you strength is lower than the opponents, you just have to be diligent about tapping the little guys and the little hearts/stars

if you get stuck on the story, grind events/hard mode for a while and work on leveling your cards instead of stressing about getting further.

for events, you can create a team with just your fave(s) to level up their intimacy (me doing events with a Diavolo only team so I can get those sweet sweet phone calls)

this battle guide is far more in depth than one i could make myself so read that for more help lol

when should I spend money?

you don't need to spend money at all on this game.

if you want to support the devs for making a fun game, consider buying DP during a summoning sale (if you need it) or another deal where you can get 5 DV for 100 DP or less

VIP has been greatly improved to be worthwhile if you can afford it especially for quality of life grinding purposes.

That being said, I stopped paying for VIP. Once you get to a certain level you can earn the DP you need to get the level-up sale in one level (because it takes so long to level up lol). Not sure at what point that was but if you're over level 180 or so it might not be worth it

***So here is the much anticipated AFAB MC has really bad period cramps fic. I'm quite excited about this, and I hope you all are too. I don't know how, but Lucifer and Levi ended up taking the lead with this fic, sooooooooooooo on we go ***

Summary: MC wakes up and they instantly know that today will not be a good day. Despite knowing this, they decide to push on and try to continue their day as normal ... this would prove to be a mistake.

Waking up, for most people, could be a toss in the air on whether or not the experience was going to pleasant or not.

For some people, their mornings were filled with gentle smiles, sunlight softly filtering in through the window, birds singing and the delicate scent of coffee as they hum to themself while making breakfast.

For others, waking up was pure and utter hell and was always followed by repeated slamming of snooze buttons, groans, and attempting to hide deeper under your blankets.

As you woke up to a numb feeling in your thighs and lower stomach, you knew that today would not be a good day.

There was no denying the dull ache that filled your pelvis; you were undoubtedly on your period, and by the feel of things, it was going to be a bad one.

You took a deep breath and glared up at your ceiling for cursing you with a uterus.

You wanted to nothing more than to stay in bed with a nice, burning hot heating pad, your favourite snacks and Netflix, but all hopes of that plan were quickly thrown out the window by a knock on your door.

"MC!" Mammon's voice called from the hall. "We're gonna be late! Get your ass up!"

You groaned, closing your eyes for just one second more before forcing yourself onto your feet. You winced as you felt the first flare-up of cramp hit you and carefully breathed as you walked across the room. You grumbled to yourself as you put on your school uniform and threw some sanitary products, a water bottle and pain killers into your bag.

It was going to be a long day. You shook your head as you took one last deep breath before heading out to join Mammon.

You hadn't even made it to lunch hour and you were already regretting your decision to leave your bed.

Your cramps had seemingly multiplied by a tenfold in intensity.

You were doing your damndest to hold it together and get through the day, but it was getting harder than the minute. You couldn't focus on your lectures because the pain had seemingly taken over your body. You felt strangely cold and kept squinting your eyes with each wave of cramps.

You had already taken the max dosage of pain medication, but it was doing fuck all for the absolute hell that you were going through at the moment.

"-MC?" You blinked hard and turned your head to see Levi looking at you in concern. "I-I've been trying to get your attention for a bit now. The, uh, the bell rang."

Huh.

You nodded in thanks to Levi and gathered your things before slowly rising to your feet. You made it a single step before you had to reach out to stabilize yourself on the desk in front of you. You closed your eyes in concentration as you waited for a particularly bad cramp to pass.

"M-MC?" Levi called out again. You hummed in response as you tightened your grip on the desk and felt saliva gather in your mouth. "Are ... Are you okay?"

You opened your mouth to speak, but frowned as a high-pitched ringing filled your ears.

Levi's eyebrows furrowed as you looked at him. You could see his mouth moving, but it was as though he was speaking underwater.

"I-I can't ..." You mumbled out as your head began to grow heavy. "I can't hear you..." you whimpered as the cramps flared up once more and black spots lined your vision.

A hand quickly grasped your shoulder. Panicked, amber eyes met yours before you finally felt your legs give out beneath you and the world go black.

"MC!!!" Levi shrieked as he quickly caught your now unconscious body. He felt his heart pounding in his chest as he shook your shoulders and scanned your body for any injuries. "M-MC wake up!"

His stomach dropped as you remained unconscious.

He blindly reached for his phone and dialled the first number in his contacts as he used his other hand to search for a pulse. It was then he noticed how warm your skin was — that wasn't normal for human's right?

"Leviathan, what is it?" Lucifer sighed from the other line.

Levi felt tears line his eyes and his bottom lip tremble as he finally found your heartbeat. "MC is unconscious!" he cried out.

There was the sound of something scraping against the floor on the other line. "What?" Lucifer barked. "What do you mean? What happened?!"

"I-I-I" Levi fumbled as he pulled you closer to him. "I-I- They were- I-I don't-"

"Levi, breathe," Lucifer instructed. "Walk me through what happened. Are they hurt?"

That was the million-dollar question, wasn't it? Levi opened his mouth to answer no when he finally noticed it.

Blood. You absolutely reeked of it.

A sob slipped past his lips as he dropped his D.D.D. and hurriedly looked you over once more, searching desperately for the injury that he must have missed.

He could faintly hear cursing coming from his phone, but he didn't dare pay it any mind. Not when you were apparently bleeding out somewhere and he was too stupid to even figure out where.

The door slammed open not even two minutes later, revealing an extremely distressed Lucifer. His eyes widened and his nostrils flared as he caught sight of you past out in Levi's arms.

"What happened?" He tried ordering once more as he approached the two of you. His onyx gaze instantly began searching for the source of the strong scent of blood that was coming off you.

Levi continued to weep as he clutched tightly onto you. "I-I don't know! I didn't even know they-they were bleeding and then they were acting weird a-a-and they said they couldn't hear me and n-now they're dead!"

Lucifer pursed his lips as he quickly checked your heartbeat and felt his shoulders slump in relief when he felt it beating strongly under his fingers. "They're not dead, Levi. They're just unconscious," he ran a hand down his face as he continued looking you over for injuries. "You said they were acting strange?"

Levi opened his mouth to explain, but was cut off by a groan. He gasped as he quickly turned back to you and saw you blinking your eyes open as you cradled your lower stomach. "MC!" Levi practically screamed as he helped you sit up. "Oh my sweet Ruri-Chan, you're awake! I-I-I was so scared! I thought you died and I-I-I-"

"Not now, Levi," Lucifer interrupted as he looked at you in concern. "MC, where are your hurt? We know you're bleeding."

You frowned as you blinked and slowly became aware of your surroundings again. "I-I ... What?"

Lucifer narrowed his eyes as he glanced over at Leviathan. "Did they hit their head when they went unconscious?"

Levi shook his head violently as his bottom lip trembled.

You rolled your eyes at the boys. "I'm fine," you tried to argue just as another cramp hit you. Lucifer frowned deeply as you let out a hiss between your teeth as you clutched your stomach once more.

"No you're not," he stated firmly. He delicately lifted your hand from your stomach, as though he was handling a baby bird. "You're in pain and you fainted. And by the looks of things, it's coming from here. Now be honest, what's wrong?"

You sighed in defeat as you felt your cheeks flush in embarrassment. "I-I'm on my period."

The two demons blinked at you for a moment before their cheeks flushed — one significantly more than the other.

Levi squeaked as he pulled his hands away from you awkwardly. "O-OH!! Okay! Okay! Um, s-s-so y-you're not bleeding out? I-I mean you are just not in deadly amounts r-right? Do you um, need to cry? O-Or need chocolate or, um," he cursed to himself. "What do they always do in the shows if this happens?" He mumbled under his breath.

You snorted and shook your head. "I mean, chocolate would be nice, b-but as much as this really really sucks, I'm used to it."

Lucifer cleared his throat and nodded. "Alright. Erm ... I-I was unaware that they caused this much discomfort. Is this normal? The fainting and everything?"

You shrugged, moving a hand to hold your head. "Not really. Periods can be different for everyone. This one's just- just really fucking bad," you gritted through your teeth as you instinctively tried to curl in on yourself. "I thought I could still make it through the day, but things just kept getting worse and worse."

Lucifer nodded slowly as he processed the information. His heart clenched at the knowledge that you had been suffering all day and none of them had even noticed. He gently placed a hand on your shoulder and rubbed circles into your skin. "What can we do to help? I assume you'll need the rest of the day off?"

You whined as you nodded. "That would be nice."

Lucifer comfortingly ran a hand through your hair. "Okay. I'll bring you back home then. Are you alright if I inform the others so they know not to bother you like usual?" You nodded in exhaustion.

"I-I'll message everyone!" Levi stated as he took out his D.D.D. "We'll make sure you're as comfortable as possible MC. Is, uh, Is there anything you need?"

You tiredly let yourself fall against Lucifer's side as you hummed in thought. "If you guys don't already own a heating pad, I will definitely be needing one. Maybe some snack foods? My appetite can be weird when I'm ... you know."

Levi flushed as he hurriedly typed that all out. "G-Got it! Okay! I'll take care of everything!" Without another word, Levi fled from the room as quickly as he could.

Lucifer sighed as he played with your hair. "He means well," he said as he slowly rose to his feet. "Now, would you like to walk alongside me to the house, or would you like me to carry you?"

Your eyes softened as you looked up at the demon in awe. "You would carry me?"

Lucifer chuckled and picked you up as easily as lifting a pillow. He carefully held you against his chest as you wrapped your arms around his neck. "Of course," his low voice vibrated against you through his chest. "But don't get used to this. It's only because you're not feeling well."

You smiled softly and nuzzled against the stern demon as he exited the classroom. "Of course," you replied tiredly. "Thank you, Lucifer."

You had nearly passed out in Lucifer's arms as he carried you all the way back to RAD. Every time you'd tense or whimper from the pain your own body was inflicting upon you, his arms would merely hold you tighter.

He tucked you into your bed and pressed a soft kiss to the top of your forehead. "I'll go get a heating pad for you. Have you taken any medication yet?"

You grunted as your head sunk into your pillow. "As much as my stupid human body can handle."

He chuckled affectionately and headed towards the door. "I'll get you some tea as well then. Just try to relax, alright?" You hummed in response and closed your eyes.

A few minutes later, your rest was disturbed by a knock on your door. Satan poked his head in and looked at you in concern. "I heard that you fainted," he softly spoke. "Mind if we-"

He was cut off and pushed out of the way as a more frantic Mammon and Beelzebub came in from behind him. "Yeah! What the hell is that all about, human?!" Mammon scolded as he came to your bedside. "Why didn't ya tell me ya weren't feelin' up to par this mornin'?! Huh? I could'a helped ya!"

Beel pulled Mammon away from you with a frown. "Hey. Lucifer said not to stress them out. Stop it," his hard expression instantly melted into concern as he turned to you. "Are you okay?"

You giggled at the boys and shrugged. "Feeling shitty, but it is what it is."

Satan nodded as he finally made his way over to you. "Yes. Lucifer mentioned that you might like this," he held out a dark blue hot water bottle out to you.

You took it from him and quickly pressed it against your lower stomach. You let out a breath of satisfaction as you melted into the warm relief that it brought you. "That's perfect. Thank you so much."

Satan waved off your thanks as he passed you a bottle filled with Power Aid and a granola bar. "None sense. Just making sure you're looked after. Now drink this. You fainted earlier; you should probably get your electrolytes up."

There was a tsk from the doorway as Asmodeus made his way in with a basket in his arms. "I asked you three to wait for me." He set the basket onto your nightstand and began to unload his signature manicure kit, face masks and loads of snacks. "I thought maybe you could do for some special treatment from yours truly," he winked as he held out two bottles of nail polish out to you, "pink or teal, Love Bug?"

You gave Asmo a sheepish smile as you shifted under your blankets. "I don't know if I'm really feeling up to pampering right now, Asmo," you winced as another flare-up hit you, causing all the demons in the room to surge towards you in concern. "I-I think I'd just like a nap for now."

"And that's where I come in," Everyone turned to Belphie as he walked in with a pillow under his arm. "Scooch over," he demanded as he lifted your blankets. "We are getting you one ticket to Snoozeville, so hurry up and drink that shit Satan gave you so we can nap." You snorted but listened to his demands as he glared at the others. "The rest of you get."

Beel pouted and shifted from foot to foot. "But Belphie-"

The other twin shook his head. "But nothing, Beel. Sorry buddy, MC needs their sleep. Out."

Asmo rolled his eyes but was forced to listen as Satan put a hand on his shoulder and began to lead him out of the room. "Fine. I'll be back later to do your nails when you feel better!"

Mammon huffed as Belphie crawled into bed beside you. He ruffled your hair gently and pinched your cheek. "You better get better quick, okay?" He frowned as he felt how warm you were. "I don't like seein' ya like this."

You took Mammon's hand into your own and gave it a gentle squeeze. "I'll be fine, Mammon. It's just cramps,"

He sighed and gave Belphie a hard look before leaving the room.

Now alone, Belphegor wrapped his arms around you and pulled you snuggly against his chest. You instantly felt your eyelids grow heavy. The pain that filled your body subsided as fatigue began to cloud your brain.

"Go to sleep, Angel," he whispered into your hair. "I'll be right here to keep you safe."

As you felt yourself drift off, you couldn't help but smile knowing that your boys would be there to help comfort and care for you when you woke.

You know, it’s kind of scary how Chris Hackney is now in half the games I am the most excited for this year. For those of you playing Rune Factory 5 this month, he’s there. I can’t escape him. The man’s chaotic aura is in every game I stg what’s next ? Will he be a VA in Dragon Age 4? Am I gonna start seeing him modeling for target? Better yet is he going to be an E3 announcer?…..i mean that would make E3 actually worth watching but that’s not my point

You know what, mans is making his career rounds. Good for him. We need more Chris Hackneys in this world
