Ahhhhh, my CDs finally came home!
#master detective archives: rain code#rain code#rain code merch#I’ve only listened to the Happy Holidays Mix CD so far and there’s good remixed tracks in it#it’s actually one long track with transitions to each new song#some of the picks pleasantly surprised me too and the last one was really amusing#I’m going to listen to the other discs later#I also really like the jewel case and the design of the CDs#the booklet was neat but I don’t know Japanese to translate the interview#the best part was that the case came in perfect condition

As an editor on the wiki and someone who has been keeping up to date with other Rain Code media (like the books and merch), this is just incorrect info.
I’m guessing that whoever edited this didn’t remember the exact events of the game (like this person wrote that the Peacekeepers killed Kurumi’s grandfather when the game states that he was killed by the berserk Homunculi during the Blank Week and didn’t have a Homunculus clone to replace him).
I’ve been planning to correct this misinformation, but I couldn’t get to it earlier due stuff. I’ll try to edit it tonight in my timezone or contact a mod about this though.
Spoilers up to the end of Chapter 4
I’m confused…

I was reading through the wiki for information on Yomi for one of my fics, and I’m completely confuse where some of these informations came from?
Dr. Wisca?
Cheng?
Planning to get Kanai Ward and its inhabitants killed?
Are these from a separate resource I missed like that book that came out, or the manga? Neither of which are translated to English yet, mind you.
#master detective archives: rain code#rain code#rain code spoilers#rain code meta#I’m surprised that no one else on the wiki has noticed this yet#hopefully another person can also edit the page to have the correct info on it#but I’ll get to it if that doesn’t happen#on another separate tangent . . .#I hope someone can translate the light novels soon#they seem to have some interesting information because on the Japanese fandom reactions on Twitter (with Google translate)

I’m kind of surprised other people haven’t been mentioning it, but preorders for physical copies of Rain Code’s original soundtrack are open on Ebten.

Along with that, we finally have track names for the whole ost! Here are the tracks with their original Japanese names.

And here are the tracks names translated by my phone’s translation option.

The translations probably aren’t 100% accurate, so we still need to wait for it be released digitally on Spotify for the official English track names. Btw, there’s a limited bonus for people who buy the physical copies early.

#master detective archives: rain code#rain code#rain code merch#sadly the only way to get the physical edition of the ost is to use a proxy service#Ebten doesn’t allow for international shipping for it unlike most of their other items

Thanks, and I’m glad you like my additions! Yeah, it’s really cool when creators use astrology and mythologies to help reveal something about the characters. I also noticed that blood type is also somethings used to reflect the personality of the characters. Back on topic, you’re right about it being like history circling back. I’m not a big astrology person either (funnily enough, I’m an Aquarius too), but it’s something interesting to look into that stuff in case creators connect the meaning back to their characters. Yeah, those creators are pretty rad.
Good thing I’ve done my own searching to find the answer to that. Makoto’s birthday (January 6th) is on the same day as Epiphany and Three Kings Day, Vivia’s birthday (April 4th) takes place during the Ching Ming Festival/Qingming Festival, Desuhiko shares his birthday (July 8th) with Kazutaka Kodaka, Halara’s birthday (October 1st) is when some countries celebrate International Coffee Day, and the real Zilch’s birthday (October 4th) is also when World Animal Day occurs.
I’m not sure if Makoto’s birthday being on Epiphany or Three Kings Day means anything, but the other ones have some meaning. Ching Ming Festival/Qingming Festival is about honoring the dead and one of the activities is cleaning the tombs of one’s ancestors. Rather fitting for Vivia. International Coffee Day for Halara is kind of amusing because they add the cost of their coffee to Yuma’s debt due to him being late. World Animal Day fits the real Zilch to a “T”. I’ll need to look more into their zodiac signs though to see how fitting they are.
To keep with the theme I've got rolling since my latest post, I'll share a silly little fun fact!
Yakou's birthday is on May 21st! It's a national day for a lot of pretty sweet n cute things!
Wait a minute... did I read that right? Let's enhance!
After some light research, it turns out that on May 21st, 2011, it was predicted to be the end of the world. While it isn't as widely remembered as the other prediction of Doomsday on December 21st, 2012 (where my Miracle Musical enjoyers at?), this date still listed as the national day for the world's end. And as we're all aware, this is an overarching theme for chapter 4. As stated in the opening of the chapter:
"Eventually, after a restful slumber... The end of the world arrives. The end of the world I believed in."
Yuma's birthday is immediately after Yakou's, May 22nd. The end of one world and the beginning of another, perhaps? I have zero idea if this choice of a birthday of all things was intentional, but it makes for some good trivia!
#master detective archives: rain code#rain code#Zilch Alexander#Halara Nightmare#Vivia Twilight#Makoto Kagutsuchi#I still need to look into the birthdays for some other characters too#but this is what I have for now#pretty interesting stuff#some of these might just be coincidences#but they’re still fun to think about#rain code meta#rain code analysis#my rain code analysis post

I hope you don’t mind my addition, but something interesting about Yuma’s birthday (May 22nd) is that it actually takes place on the International Day for Biological Diversity.

Considering how his original identity’s goal was to bring happiness to everyone and how Chapter 5/the epilogue plays out, this date is really fitting for Yuma’s birthday.
Yuma and Yakou are also both Gemini. I think it’s also an extremely fitting astrological sign for Yuma for two reasons. The first reason is that it fits with his dual personality (his past self vs. his current self). The other reason is that Gemini is represented by Castor and Pollux/Polydeuces, twin half-brothers in classical mythology. While Castor was the son of Tyndareus and mortal, Pollux was the son of Zeus and immortal. Doesn’t the mortal and immortal aspect sound vaguely familiar to Yuma’s connection with a certain someone?

I know I said that I would draw the cast of DRV3 like 5 months ago. But hey, I’ve been sad. Also this is my least favourite cast, so I had a hard time finishing it once I got through my favourite characters.

I said I was gunna draw the cast of each game, so here’s the cast of game 2. Out of all the games this is my favourite group of characters, but my favourite character is actually from V3.

I’m doing that thing again where I draw the entire cast of Danganronpa after watching my comfort playthrough because I am depressed. You know. As one does.
