The best gift (2)
-Now that you know the basics.- continued Saej.- I’m going to tell you which numbers you should avoid and which ones you should make friends with.
- Are you telling me I have to revolve all my relationships around numerology?- I said, skeptical. - You don’t have to do it. I’m just giving you advise, because I know that at the end you’ll do whatever you want to do, as always. - Yeah, that’s right.
- Now, you only have to hear me out. What you do with your life in college, is not my bussines.
- I’m glad we agree on that.
Ignoring me, he continued talking:
-As your Destiny number is 1, you have a huge ego and you love compliments.
I roll my eyes. Will he ever be tired of saying that?
- That means you will probably have problems with people like you. I mean, you have to be aware of people who have a number 1, because they’ll sense you’re a threat for them. So, you should be modest in front of them, don’t show all your cards. Bash them with compliments, hear them out. Make them think they’re better than you, although you know that’s not true.
- Ok, understood. - Let’s continue. If you come across 2s or 6s, you have nothing to fear, as they are weak numbers. They are good people, always want to help those around them. The bad part? They can be easily manipulated, marginated. You have to be careful not to take advantage of them and give them the love and support they need. If you want them to stay with you, of course.
- I’d never use other people. You know I’m not like that.- I interjected.
-I know your heart is noble. I only want you to be careful.- then, he went on with his explanation.- People with 3 on their numerologic chart, are usually nice and light-hearted people. They’d make good friends, but be careful, because they need to stand out, to feel loved and accepted. Also, I advice you don’t make work groups with them, because they’re too carefree and...
He went on and on about which numbers I should and shouldn’t befriend. I ended up spacing out, thinking about my new life at college. Saej always tells me I should be discreet and not make a lot of noise, that the less people who knew who I was, the better. But I don’t want to be like that. I spent all my childhood and half of my teenage years being invisible, and i wanted college to be different.
-And number nines are spiritual and kind people, if you find one, be sure to be their friends.
- Are you saying that because you have a lot of nines on your chart? - I interrupted.
- Nirin, you know I’m right!- he said jokingly.
-Ok, are you finished yet? I’ve understood all the points. Number ones are bad. Number two and three need a lot of love. Blah, blah, blah... -Only one more thing.- he said with a serious tone.- Most Master Numbers are good, and you’ll learn a lot from them. However, you must be extra careful around people with 33. They’re very intelligent, manipulative, arrogant, and professional liars. If you come across someone with 33, run.
I could have told him he was exagerating, I could had shrug the deep atmosphere off with a simple joke, but I knew this wasn’t something to laugh at. He was deadly serious, and if I had to follow only one of his rules, I would follow this one: don’t go near 33.

The best gift (1)
*Every person or place I talk about in this blog, is real. This is not a fantasy story, all this is based on actual experiences. However, all names (places, too) are changed following numerologic rules to respect other people’s privacy, as well as mine*
It was August, and we were spending Summer holidays in my mom’s boyfriend home, which was near the mountain, so it wasn’t as hot as it would be at the coast, where I live. As I’ve already finished high-school, the way I was going to continue my studies was one of the most usual topics.
- I don’t think you’re prepared to study in another city. Trasalea is so far... - Said Saej, mom’s partner. - Prepared or not, I’m going to do it. I’ve already enrolled. - I replied.
- I know. Your Destiny number is one, and your Life-path’s is four. That makes you extremely stubborn.- As always, he analysed me based on numerology. -But my Birthday number is five and that means I can achieve anything! - I retorted. - Calm down, miss “I’m a big-headed number one”. I know you can beat any problem that comes to you. However, you need to learn how to empathize with people around you. Besides, that number one of you is making you weak, because you think you’re better than the rest. Also, it makes you vulnerable to flattery.
I roll my eyes. Does he always have to evaluate my personality? It upset me, but I suppose that’s because he was right. - That’s false! - I exclaimed. I wasn’t going to admit he was totally right. -Let me continue, Nirin.- he said.- As you are going to be alone starting next month, you will need to make friends. -No shit, Sherlock. Do you think I haven’t thought about that?
-Nirin, let him finish what he has to say.- Interfiered my mom, the usual mediator in this conversations.
- Thanks Lua. As I was saying, You’ll have to talk with people and try to make them like you. And we all know that’s not one of your best skills.
- I love you too, Saej.- I said with sarcasm.
- I will give you something to help you while you’re alone in university.- he continued, ignoring me.- The best gift I can offer to you: the basics of numerology, so you have a guide on how to be in contact with people. You have to be aware that this is a great responsibility, and that you can’t use this knowledge to harm people or take advantage of them. Use this to get to know people and help them to be better and to overcome their problems. Understood?
-Yes. I would never harm anyone. -Very good. Let’s get started, then. We spent all the evening and night talking about numerology. He explained to me what every number meant, and how to find out people’s numbers based on their birthday and their full names. I noted it all down and started to practise with the numbers of people I knew, or with famous people. It was really interesting and entertaining. Who would have thought that would be the beginning of my adventure? Valete et beati este!

I’m still trying to figure out in which term I fit in, but I think I feel identified with cosmic witches, because I’ve always loved astronomy and astrology, and with energy witches (they’re not on this list though), that are really sensitive to positive or negative energy. What kind of witch are you?
Identifying witches
An open witch: just enter their house there are like 80 candles and rocks and stars and leaves and shit everywhere you are just tripping over it
A kitchen witch: their kitchen is hands down the coolest part of the house with awesome spices and organisation and deco and their house smells amazing
Hedge witch: check for a dehydrator or massive amounts of parchment paper
An urban witch: their living space is covered in the most random, seemingly irrelevant stuff that they are super attached to
Pagan witch: altars to different deities everywhere and so many pentacles everywhere why is there one in the toilet damn what
Christian witch: house is covered in fairies and Angels in paintings and statues it’s like what
Neo-pagan: their gem stone collection can only be rivalled by the state rock museum ( either that or they are a Steven universe fan :p )
A closet witch: check the drawers for books Check the drawers man
Satanic witch: lots of silver on their altar and most of their closet is black or sexy.
Gothic witch: their house IS black and sexy and full of bones
A spoonie witch: their athame is in the kitchen and there is random candle wax around the house and you just have no idea what happened but this one corner of the house has great energy
Sigil witch: why is there a sigil on every napkin what is life who are you
Tarot focused: they have like 80 tarot decks and half haven’t even been opened and they are super defensive about
A witching: starter kits, specialty candles, and they have a few books on Wicca they bought accidentally
Sea witch: there are shells everywhere and it constantly smells like fresh sea air but you can’t find the source
A long time witch: THIS AMOUNT OF JARS HAS NEVER BEEN NECESSARY IN THE HISTORY OF MAN

Life is full of surprises
*Every person or place I talk about in this blog, is real. This is not a fantasy story, all this is based on actual experiences. However, all names (places, too) are changed following numerologic rules to respect other people’s privacy, as well as mine*
If last year someone had told me that I was going to have a blog about witchcraft because I wanted to be a witch, I would have thought they were out of their mind. Yet, here I am.
Throughout all my teen years I denied my spiritual roots, my bond with the universe and the mysticism. But the truth is I’ve always liked esotericism. When I was like 9 or 10 years old, I spent hours and hours in front of my computer’s screen reading information about astrology, tarot, witchcraft and dream’s meaning. I also liked to know the meaning of flowers and candles’ colours. I thought it only was out of curiosity, or at least that’s what I’ve always repeated myself. As I grew up, I started to leave all that behind and embraced science and logic as the only truth in the universe. I became atheist, and I may still be.
However, recent experiences have made me realise that I have to accept myself as I am, although it seems ilogical and unreasonable. Long story short, mom’s new partner is a very spiritual man. He can read tarot cards, make astral trips, connect with his spiritual guides... A lot of things I would not believe in if I hadn’t experienced its effects and efficiency first-hand. The first time I talked with him, he already knew the way I was because of numerology. He knew things about myself I've never dared to tell anyone. Reading tarot cards, he could find out where I was, the way I felt. He could almost read my mind by looking at me. All this made me furious and confused, because by that time I thought magick didn’t exist and he had to be joking or using some kind of trick. Then, I started to remember that I’ve always had magick in my life. When my cousin told me about that time she saw my grandma talking with spirits. That my mom put random ingredients on a bowl and left it for weeks in the kitchen’s countertop to attract money or good luck. Those times when my sister told me about her astral trips. She has always had this spiritual gift. She's lighthearted and is intently connected to nature, I can feel it. She’s so extraordinary and I’m so... plain. At least, that’s what I used to think, until I recalled that when I dreamt about something or wished for it hard enough, it became truth. That I could read certain people’s mind, or even manipulate them. This began to happen when I was 13 or 14, when I realised that if I believed in myself, I could do anything, because humans are extraordinary beings that create with their thought, with their positive or negative energy. Without realizing, I was using the universe’s energy as I wanted. And it was amazing. Now I’m 18 years old. I met this awesome man last year, and I think he was the best thing that could happen to my family. My mom is happier than ever. My sister is, too. She has learnt how to communicate with her spiritual guides and to control her out-of-body experencies, and now she’s learning Tarot card reading. As for me, I’m really happy, too. I’ve learnt the basics of numerology and I’ve been practising with some people I’ve met in this new life I’m having. New life, not only because of magick, but because I moved to another city to start my university studies.
So, this is when my blog comes in: besides wanting to get in touch with other witches and to learn from them, I want to tell about my experiences being a baby witch at university, having this double life, and how it affects my relationships with people.
