Shadow Work
Hey everyone! My newest blog post is up. In it I tackle the origins of Shadow Work, offer a few prompts, and, try to de-mystify dealing with the Shadow Self so it’s a little less intimidating.

You are a total genius and I will be using this idea!
My Oh Sh** Spell Kit
Listen, sometimes things just happen, and you feel the need to get something done. But what if you're away from home? In a hotel? Traveling? Well, let me introduce you to my oh sh** spell kit, the to-go spell jar kit that I keep in my car, most of it from the dollar store.
In a shoebox-sized bin, I have:
A package of dollar store small glass jars
Tiny bags filled with basil, parsley, dried orange peel, cilantro, black pepper, salt, sugar, bay leaves, and a few other basic herbs.
White tealight candles
A lighter
A small travel bottle of blessed oil
3 quartz points
A small travel bottle of moon water
2 sticks of incense
A Sharpie
A very small ceramic plate
A metal spoon
A small paintbrush
It's just enough to do very basic spell jars and very simple burn spells. With the incense and herbs, I can also create back salt, and mix it with moon water to create a powerful 'paint' I can use to draw runes or sigils.
It's not much, but it's helped in a pinch!
Support your local witch on Ko-Fi or at my store, Hallow Grove!

Decorated tree for October…hope everyone finds it funny as I do.

The lack of patience for witches who are learning their craft. If someone genuinely asks something, point them in the direction of how you learned. We want to learn too. These are things we should have been able to learn from our predecessors, but, were wiped out by fear-based religions. A lot of us are finding our roots again, and tapping into our magic for the first time in our lives.
Interested in seeing some discussion, so here's a topic for y'all: what's your biggest pet peeve, regarding magic? Like, what's something you see that really shouldn't be a major problem, but gets under your skin?

Samhain Eve!
I’m so excited for this Samhain. For those who don’t know, the word “Samhain” is pronounced “Sow-When”. Samhain comes from Celtic tradition, and it is believed that the veil between the living and the dead is thinnest around this time of year.
Now, I’m a bit of a skeptic (which is interesting to reconcile, since I’m also a witch), but even I have to admit the energy has been crazy with the eclipse leading up to Samhain.
So what have I done as a reaction? Well, currently, I’m drinking an americano with pumpkin spice from a local coffee place, and I’m eating a pumpkin muffin.
I may or may not be a bit of a basic witch.
This is my first Samhain in general, and my first Halloween as an openly practicing witch. I’m so excited for what’s to come, and I hope that you join me on my journey!

Has anyone heard of this book?
So, I was obsessed with a book when I was in grade school. It had a faded purple cover with black writing, and the pictures were black sketches on creamy white paper inside. I remember that the story featured a young girl going to another reality, and meeting a...he was a monster, sort of, but good. I remember him having a name like Grendlewitch, and I remember him being wolfish. At the end of the adventure, he gives her pearls to wish herself back to that reality when she wants to.
Has anyone else heard of this book? Do you maybe know it’s title? Or author? Or anything?
