The Spaniards Inn

// The Spaniards Inn in Hampstead, London is an interesting pub has it is believed to be haunted by Dick Turpin and his horse, Black Bess. Turpin is said to haunt the upstairs rooms, and his horse is believed to frequent the car park. 

Dick Turpin's connection: Dick Turpin's father was the landlord of The Spaniards Inn, and the pub was a known hideout for the highwayman. 

Black Bess's presence: Black Bess, Turpin's famous horse, is said to be buried nearby, and her ghost is frequently heard neighing and stomping in the car park. 

Other hauntings: The pub is also said to be haunted by a man named Juan, who was killed in a duel and a lady in white.
