I had a need and my hand slipped. I'm a biased bitch, what else is new? Wheezes

Oh yeah, one of the parts that gave me a lot of trouble was his beak because initially, I wanted to abide by the rules the other origami birds were following where their beaks matched their feet. However, when I tried to do just that, the colors were no longer cohesive. I tried various shades of teal and nothing really stuck. Then, as a joke, I used the yellow I'd color picked from one of Caelus' official arts and OH MY FUCKING GOD IT WORKED?!

Even Banaz pointed out how well it brought everything together, so I simply proceeded to scream.

Nice to know my DanCae/CaeHeng agenda remains strong Wheezes

The emotional healing, inspiration, and joy it has brought to my life has been insanely profound. I still can't believe everything that's happened since its launch, but I wouldn't trade these memories for anything 🤍🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤💖🌈

So I joined in decorating this for the Let's Draw a Cake Together! Honkai: Star Rail First One-Year-Anniversary Event that's being held on HoYo-LAB and as you can see... I got very invested Wheezes

Initially, my idea was to color each layer that represented the members of the Astra Express and then add small decorations they were associated with. However, I didn't take into consideration what camera angle they would need to be drawn in to place them where they looked aesthetically pleasing. Hence why I ended up taking up my friend Ando's suggestion with making the decorations into a pattern for the layers instead and lowering the opacity. It turned out lovely and I'm very happy with the result x3 💜🌈

Top Tier

Top Layer: The black base and watch pattern represents Pom-Pom, along with the 1 that's colored in white, black, and red. The flowers next to it are for March 7th and the stars are for Dan Heng.

Side Layer Right: The red base and teacup with coffee pattern represents Himeko.

Side Layer Left: The beige base and glasses pattern represents Welt.

Bottom Tier

Top Layer: The pink base and camera pattern represents March 7th.

Wick Me Up Inside

Since I didn't get to finish my design for the Halloween event last year, I decided to use it for the Advent Calendar event of 2023 instead. I'm really proud with how this turned out, considering that it first came together from a joke 🤣

The theme I picked this time was a candle wick and the name is a pun with regards to the lyrics from the song Bring Me To Life by Evanescence *Wheezes* I literally looked up the album Fallen to use its colors for the design😂

I'M SO HAPPY WITH HOW THEY TURNED OUT AAAAAAAAA 🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤💖🌈

I really wanted to challenge myself with a more complicated theme, so I went for a peacock this time. However, I made the mistake of not naming it beforehand, so it took forever to figure that out once the rendering had been completed ralviejsbfg

Anywho, I went insane doing the flats because the colors would either clash too hard or would blend into something boring orz Then, after fucking around one time, it finally came together *Wheezes*

Honestly, I'm super happy with how the hands and arms turned out. I used myself as reference to redo them from the base I was using and AAAAAAA The hair was also really fun to make, which surprised me because it's usually the feature that's given the most trouble out of all the designs I've made thus far. I wanted to have magical girl under the sea vibes and I think I nailed it.

So uh... while I was doing Wriothesley's Story Quest, I got possessed by the urge to draw him and then proceeded to do that in just 3 hours fwarnjevifklrbgf I HAVE NEVER DRAWN A GENSHIN CHARACTER SO FAST IN MY LIFE WHAT THE FUCK?!

(Tfw I had no idea how hard I've been simping for this man until I made this *Holds head in hands*)

Mistacos aside, I had a grand time drawing him and I'm very proud of the fact that I managed to make him look SEXY (✿◡‿◡)*Wheezes*

Ever since Alle got me into Honkai Impact 3rd, I've come to love a lot of characters, and Welt is no exception. He's honestly become one of my favorites xD

As I learned more about him in the series (and through Honkai: Star Rail), I got the sudden urge to draw him, especially after reading the Second Eruption Arc in the HI3 Manhwa. Hence the references I chose for this sketch 🤣 (MY FEELS ARE STILL EVERYWHERE MAN!!!😭😭😭)

Drawing his hair and clothing drove me up a wall way more than getting his face proportions right Wheezes But I still had a lot of fun doing this and I'm really happy with how it turned out ;w; 🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤💖🌈

Xiao Study

The references I used were screenshots I'd taken when I did his story quest. The first image was the main one I relied on for the lineart, especially the details in the eyes. The other three were for figuring out his hair, while the final two were what I used for color picking, shading, and lighting. 

There were plenty of moments where the images weren't enough for his hair, so I'd end up logging into the game to observe his model. Suffice to say that I'm very intimate with the details now *Wheezes*

Overall, I'm really happy with how he turned out 🖤💜💙💚💛🧡❤💖🌈
