What are your headcannons about Pearl? Or any of the pearls?

hi hi mutual, i love your account! i have tons of headcanons about pearl AND the pearls! i’ll give you like, ten!

blue pearl and sapphire would be very good friends. especially post canon

pearl has a very comforting scent, she smells like rain!

i do think that yellow pearl x blue pearl are in a romantic relationship, but i headcanon them both as asexual

pearl… she’s acespec, like greysexual. she can have romantic relationships without having intimacy be a part of it, but she’s been intimate with rose and that was always an aspect of their relationship that they both enjoyed

pearl does knitting and crocheting and she’s made some stuffed animals and sweaters for rose while they were living together

even if pearl has been vulnerable around people, she doesn’t like it. it makes her a little uncomfortable because it reminds her of feeling small / inferior on homeworld. this is why she would tend to cope with icky feelings by showing off sometimes in canon

pearl would like mulan, yellow pearl would like sleeping beauty, and blue pearl would like the little mermaid!

pearl is good at baking/cooking just because she’d make things for rose. there were certain things that she just… would not make though, like waffles just because she hated the texture and smell. she’d make rose pancakes, pies, etc

pearl is very caring / nurturing. she also has a habit of stroking people’s hair when they’re upset or sick

i have two human ocs that pearl HATES, they were old friends of rose and both of them did not so nice things to her. so, i guess this headcanon is that pearl would absolutely loathe anyone who hurt rose lol. i might post about these ocs sometime, it’s just been awhile since i’ve thought of them!

bonus one: rose used to struggle with lots of disassociation/being spacey after traumatic events. pearl would help ground her but she never fully understood disassociation… until the days after rose passed away. :(

bonus two: TONS of people in beach city had crushes on pearl while rose was around. rose noticed and she was super jealous. pearl literally never caught on to the crushes OR rose’s jealousy

(little note that like, gems don’t have the same labels and norms as human relationships but rose and pearl were each other’s “favourite person” and that’s how they labeled it, so their jealousy would come from thinking that the other had a new favourite or something- which was never fully true)

this is such a silly thing to do & the reason i even sent that friend request was because i’ve been convinced i’m worse than everyone who’s ever hurt me lately (just an anxiety thing) and i just needed to be reminded of how awful he is so that i could at least have the reassurance that i’m not THAT level of awful person

not only is he a perv in a way that i just objectively am not… he does not care about feelings. he does not ask about boundaries. he does not care / worry / ask about right and wrong the way i do. he had a way of going “no, do this, it’s fine” as opposed to “how do you feel about this, do you think this is okay?” he demands the most insane things. and i’m still attached to him for twisted reasons (programming in my brain leftover from teen years probably, maybe it will go away when i’m 23-25?) but i’m never going to be this insane again

i kind of ship my lawyer x my therapist because my lawyer gives peridot vibes and my therapist gives lapis vibes

for some twisted reason my comfort scenarios right now are all just rose quartz x jasper toxic yuri

jasper actually becomes good friends with rose quartz, rose feels guilty and tells her she’s pink diamond once they start dating. jasper says she’s fine with it but over time communication gets bad and jasper starts resenting rose to an extreme while rose feels even more guilty but can never bring herself to stop caring about jasper no matter how much jasper hates her and it gets really insane

now i know that in canon rose and jasper would never even become friends but in this universe they somehow do okay and it makes a really twisted yet comforting story in my head and gosh this ship is weird and interesting
