The Texas Sheriff Where Sandra Bland Died Was Previously Suspended for Racism 

The head sheriff of Waller County, Texas, where 28-year-old Sandra Bland was allegedly found asphyxiatedin a jail cell on Monday, was fired from his job as Hempstead, Texas, police chief in 2008 following allegations of racism, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Daily Kos recovered old Chronicle reports on Thursday showing that in 2007, R. Glenn Smith, then police chief of Hempstead, was suspended for two weeks by the Hempstead City Council after they "[viewed] videotapes and [heard] allegations of racism from local residents against him and ... four [other] officers."

Donald Maiden Jr. is an 8-year-old Black kid from Dallas who was playing tag outside his apartment complex when Brian Cloniger, a 46-year-old white Man Shot him in the face. Donald was in critical but stable condition in a hospital where he has had numerous surgeries to repair his jaw and to put a plate in it. Donald told his Grandmother that Brian Colinger “Doesn’t want the kids to look at his face” and that Brian told him that “He looks like a Monster”. A witness asked Brian if he shot Donald and he said “Yes, I shot that kid” with no remorse. His actions traumatized Donald’s little brother who runs to the back of his house in fear when someone knocks at the door. Brian Colinger is facing 5 to 99 years in prison. This is a clear Case of racism and hate from a extreme coward with a Gun. Donald Maiden Jr. is currently on schedule to make a full recovery. Decades of feminism have not extinguished white women’s antagonism towards Black females. White females routinely malign entertainment mogul Shonda Rhimes and FLOTUS Michelle Obama as “angry Black women.” So imagine what white female teachers think of Black girls?

If white women are underrepresented in the field of law enforcement, they compensate with overrepresentation in the early stages of the school-to-prison pipeline. It’s estimated that white women comprise 63 percent of K-12 teachers in the United States. So when the Civil Rights Project at the University of California, Los Angeles documents that “African-American students are three times more likely to be suspended than whites,” that’s not “the man.”

The accusatory white woman who incited lynch mobs and genital mutilation is not extinct. She now flings allegations and suspensions in the classroom. Sabotaging the academic genius of Black students is an act of genocide. Educational psychologist Dr. Jamilia Blake documents teachers’ debilitating perception of Black girls and boys as threatening, unsophisticated and defiant. In Unsettling Whiteness, Dr. Lucy Michael writes that white women are central to the criminalization of Black students because they are “not blind to their own cultural practices, but deeply committed to them.”

Sandra Bland was stopped Friday by authorities in Waller County, Texas for a traffic violation. In a video of her arrest, while being forcibly held face down, Ms. Bland can clearly be heard saying to the officer, “You just slammed my head into the ground. Do you not even care about that?” As she’s being picked up off the ground and placed into the police vehicle, Ms. Bland can be heard again, this time thanking the person recording the video, saying, “Thank you for recording.” 

Bland was arrested and booked on “assault of a public servant” charges.

A police statement says the following Monday morning Ms. Bland was released on a $5,000 bond, and was subsequently “found dead” by a female jailer who was “worried” about her recreation time. Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith claims this was a case of self-inflicted asphyxiation. An autopsy performed Tuesday showed Bland’s death “has been classified as a suicide, with the cause of death (listed as) hanging,” according to Tricia Bentley, a spokeswoman for the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston.

Hanged. Suicide. A young 28-year old woman who was moving to Texas to begin working her dream job suddenly decided to commit suicide, supposedly because of a small traffic infraction? 

Ms. Bland’s friends and family feel that the police’s story doesn’t add up. For one thing, the odd quickness with which everything seemed to escalate seems off. In a matter of 72 hours Bland went from being pulled over for a minor traffic violation, to being arrested for assaulting a cop, and then to killing herself, according to the police’s story. There’s also the fact that Bland is black, and Waller county has a history of discriminatory law enforcement behavior.

The police are lying again.

Airplane parts, medical supplies and much more: prisoners are even raising seeing-eye dogs for blind people.”

Bye, Becky! Why I’m Never Here For Solidarity With White Women. 

They’re all too ready to be the sistas’ sisters, but history teaches me and the present confirms that white women are no sisters of mine. Surely the time for the solidarity they now seek was when their sons and husbands entered the cabins of enslaved black women, ripped their clothes and reminded them that their bodies belonged to white men. Where was their empathy and clapback then? Instead of pleading with your husbands or ordering your sons to stop, you turned your wrath to the black victims of their violent sociopathy. You abused our children conceived by rape and terrorized their mothers to massage your own ego, which was punctured by the knife of insecurity every time your husband chose to violate a black body instead of taking yours which you offered so eagerly.

And what of your feminism? You have yet to answer Sojourner’s question, “Ain’t I a Woman?” Yet, you deify Margaret Sanger hailing her as the god of the modern feminist movement while minimalizing, explaining or altogether ignoring her racist ideas and practices. You lift her up because despite how she felt about “blacks”, she was still a great champion of women’s rights. And this is why the sistas are not your sisters.

See you all look in the mirror and a see a woman because white is the default. We look in the mirror and see a black woman. And for us, race and gender are coconut and rice. When you mix the coconut of blackness with the rice of womanhood, one is indistguishable and inseparable from the other. So if you want a spoonful of my rice know that it’ll be mashed with my coconut.

Former Enforcement Official Wins Lawsuit After Being Labeled ‘Muslim Terrorist’ and Fired

The 9/11 attacks saw public sentiment turn against American Muslims, with many people thinking they all must be terrorists. This compounded the problems of Black Muslims, who already suffer from racial discrimination. Tennessee state trooper De’Ossie Dingus was a victim of a blatant case of religious discrimination, but he fought back and recently won his case in court.

The Knoxville News reports a federal judge sided with Dingus and ruled the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security was guilty of discrimination for firing Dingus.

“U.S. District Judge Tena Campbell found the agency violated the rights of De’Ossie Dingus by firing him in 2010 after a military liaison dubbed the 10-year Tennessee Highway Patrol veteran a budding terrorist without any proof,” reported The Knoxville News.

Dingus was fired after a disagreement with military liaison Maj. Kevin Taylor, who branded him a terrorist after he had complained about a video showing the radicalization of children. The video was shown during a class on how to spot weapons of mass destruction.

Taylor labeled Dingus as “disruptive” and “confrontational.” However, Dingus was backed up by 35 other officers.

“An internal investigation showed none of Dingus’ co-workers shared Taylor’s view. Most said they’d never once heard Dingus mention his faith,” reported The Knoxville News.

In spite of the support of his fellow officers, senior staff in the Tennessee Department of Safety (TDOS) fired Dingus, largely based on Taylor’s recommendation.

“The judge ruled safety department officials were ‘all too eager to accept Maj. Taylor’s belief that because Mr. Dingus was a Muslim, he was dangerous,” The Knoxville News reported.

Enforcement Official Arrested 3 Times in the Past 6 Months Finally Resigns (Not Fired)

Ms. Staniland has resigned from Police Department, a spokesman for the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information confirmed.

Her most recent encounter on the wrong side of the law was on July 1 when she was riding a motorcycle on Davis Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. on Staten Island. She lost control of her bike as she tried to turn onto Henderson Avenue, striking two vehicles waiting at a red light, authorities allege.

As Ms. Staniland was removing her ID from her backpack to show to police, an officer spotted drug paraphernalia including a silver spoon and a syringe, according to cops.

A search revealed four and a half pills of an anti-anxiety drug for which authorities claimed she had no prescription. Police charged her with criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, misdemeanor drug possession, and driving an unregistered motorcycle without license plates.

She had a "Little Miss Dangerous" logo on her motorcycle helmet, police said.

Ms. Staniland was suspended from the force after being cuffed on drug possession charges while she was on-duty in Brooklyn on May 13.

She was also accused of burglarizing the West Brighton home of her boyfriend's mother on Nov. 25 and Dec. 1, according to a criminal complaint and a law enforcement source. She snatched various pieces of jewelry, including necklaces and bracelets, and hocked them for an undisclosed amount of cash on those dates at an Elm Park pawn shop, the complaint alleged. She was arrested Dec. 18 following a probe by the NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau.

Have an active dad who gives no fucks about what White people think? Check. Do absolutely nothing remotely criminal or even rude, making the tearjerkers scour the Earth for shit to criticize? Check.
