Small steps lead to bigger things
Since discovering the pan pastels my work has evolved to another level in a very short period of time.
I absolutely love working with this medium. Why do I like it so much: it’s a lot quicker than acrylic and is easy to build up the layers. Also when you photograph your work it is not misleading as what you see on camera is very much as close to the real thing that you could possibly get. Having said that, I don’t think I could go back to using coloured pencils or paint.
I am so glad I found the pastels and now I can offer professional commissions as they really do look the part.
Just finished my wolf and going to be working on another project soon.

The next step in Animal Art
Is been a while since I last posted and that is because I have been distracted. It’s been an interesting few months trying to find my feet but not landing anywhere. It’s a strange feeling not knowing where you are but if there is one thing I know what I want to do, it is to draw.
This is the only thing that inspires me and what I think about constantly.
It was my birthday recently and I asked for a set of pan pastels and carborhello pencils. I then signed up to Patreon and watched over 10 hrs of footage on how to build up the layers and different techniques in creating fur and texture. What a delight this was! It was amazing to see how the drawing unfolds.
Then it was my turn to put all of this into practice. I am very pleased with the result and am feeling more confident to start my next project.
I love the pans as they give such a rich and realistic effect without having to work very hard; you just need to be clever with your pencil markings and am learning new tricks along the way. This particular work will be framed although I am debating whether to sell him or not or what interest I would get. Would you buy him?

Artisan Couples Aura Drawings
I have been working on a new concept that came to me recently which incorporates everything that I have been doing up until now. I am a bit like a chameleon continuously evolving to fit in with the environment and been scratching my head a long time now thinking what else can I do that is unique; as that is what I am all about. Why be the same?
The idea presented itself unassumingly in passing conversation via e-mail. Why not offer couples aura drawings as part of their wedding? It suddenly dawned on me that this could be interesting but how would people take to it?
The next thing I knew I was approached by an events organiser who loved the idea and offered me a stall at Chelmsford City Racecourse Wedding Show. It was overwhelming to say the least but was worth it.
The concept is simple: I offer artisan couples aura drawings which can be incorporated into your wedding stationery and decor or it can be made into wall art that you keep as a memoir and which will be a part of your home and life together.
If you are interested or would like to know please get in touch.

Drawing Spirit Guides
It has recently come to my attention that the above is an unknown or unfamiliar subject in many respects and for this reason I wanted to explain things further so as to help others understand what this is all about.
We all have spirit guides and are part of what I call our soul family. The difference between us and the spirit world is that we are resonating at different frequencies hence they do not appear as us in physical form.
Some of us depending on where we are on our spiritual journey have done some preliminary work around connecting with our spirit guides which is usually through meditation or simply being and asking them to come forward. You don’t always have to be in a meditative state in order to connect with them as they are around all of the time. We only need to call upon them and ask that they make themselves known. They usually appear as an image in our minds in a way that we can relate to. This is their way of communicating with us. It is also possible to sense them through our physical body by way of sensations - tingles, hot, cold etc. It is up to the individual how they wish to connect but in any case there is no right or wrong way.
The spirit guide drawing is an alternative way of making this connection through the artist and medium such as myself. Because I am already open and connected, this happens very naturally and organically as I allow spirit to communicate through the drawing. This is done both verbally and visually.
I do not have any preconceived notions of what I am going to draw nor is there any expectation - just a natural curiosity and openness to whatever comes forth.
I usually begin with a reading by pulling a few cards and inviting spirit to come in and share the space. Then I begin to draw a face. Whatever happens around and through the drawing is personal to the individual I am drawing for and it is during this process that a connection is made which can be sensed and felt through us. Every reading is different of course, however it is not only about what we see but also the words, feelings and responses that occur during the session. To me, this is far more po#werful and engaging than the drawing itself.
If you would like to book a spirit guide reading with me then you are welcome to contact me here or via e-mail: [email protected].

Spiritual Collage and Spirit Guide Drawings
My latest work now which is a guided drawing as I search for references and put them all together receiving messages and guidance as I go along. It’s quite interesting as I never know what’s going to come next which makes it all the more enjoyable.
Unlike a copying exercise when drawing from a reference photo, each component is strategically thought about and meditated on. It’s like piecing a puzzle together. That said I am really enjoying working like this.
It tells a story.
If you would like a drawing please get in touch. I am running a special offer this month of £75 (normally £90).

Dreams are what we are made of ...
Have you ever wondered what dreams are? Do you have weird dreams or experience things in your sleep that you can’t really explain, yet you are aware of what is going on and participating in it - yet when you awaken you remember fragments or forget everything?
I believe that when we dream our spirit “leaves” the body and enters another dimension. This is where we participate in an alternate reality, if you like, and on some level our highest selves are at play, working through the layers of our consciousness in order to energetically shift through those aspects of ourselves that require clearing so that we may come back more fully to the conscious mind.
I often come out of the sleep state with information, messages, signs, symbols etc. and more often than not I ask this question: what is real ? Is “this” third dimensional reality all there is, or is there something more to our world than what meets the eye??? What if what I am experiencing in my dreams is real and that this state of consciousness we are now in, is merely a hologram of that inner reality?
What do you think or believe?

Drawing Animals vs Animal Spirits
I have been very much guided in my work and approach to the animal art, which is an art in itself.
Before I do anything I always set the intention and then I give myself the space and wait for them to tell me what it is they would like me to draw.
Each sitting is a test of perseverance and patience as I have got to say there are moments when I would have liked to throw the canvas or drawing in the bin! However, something pushes me through that barrier and then I find my rhythm. That’s when everything seems to fall into place. When you are creating from a place of knowing the flow is much more intense as opposed to logic and technique alone.
I have begun to notice this more. It is hard to not compare yourself but this is something ingrained in me as I have a natural sense of curiosity and must see what others are doing. What I have noticed however is that in so much as there is perfection and the art is photographic in nature which I admire for the technique as well as hours of work; there is something inherently missing.
The point I am making is that there is no soul! So now I look at my work and embrace it for what it is. It is not about perfection. It is about recognising that part of us that which is has always been there and which comes to the surface. When we look into the eyes of a cat, dog, monkey, lion, bird or whatever may be, we are undoubtedly recognising the essence of all that is and that which we are a part of.
This is the journey and we are here to tell you that there is more to who and what you are. Everyone and everything has a soul. This is why we are here - to allow you to see it; even if for the first time so that you may be able to understand this connection that we all share.

It’s been a long time coming ...
So I have been away on holiday; hence the lack of posts and social media activity. I have to say I needed a break and was refreshing to switch off completely.
When you get away from the hustle and bustle you tend to put things into perspective and everything you spend so much time on doesn’t matter. You begin to realise that life is too short and when it’s all over who really gives a ...
Anyway, I jumped straight back in the saddle - not so much on the social media front but on the drawing. I can honestly say I have noticed a difference. At first I felt a bit deflated after lying at the pool all those days, but then I realised that it may have appeared that nothing was going on physically, but I could sense something definitely was energetically. So I picked up my pencils again and asked spirit to guide my hand. I felt I needed to up my game since I have been looking around at other artists. Conparititus!!! I know I am guilty for doing so but is in my nature. I feel exhausted but think I picked up a few tricks from a higher dimension ....

I have been distracted lately and as usual had so much on the go. Since my venture into drawing animals began only a few weeks ago, everything began to shift again. I started to notice all sorts of things manifesting.
Thinking back on my journey of when and where this all began, it is only a year since I left my JOB in order to do this professionally. So much has happened over a very short period of time.
It seems I have taken a quantum leap and only now is my physical reality catching up. We don’t realise as creators how much we expand in our process of bringing things through into the physical dimension.
Going back to where I started, I created the soul activation cards. Whenever we begin something new we always have such high expectations, but as I am evolving so too are the cards. Now they have become much more than a divination tool.
I have had a handful of therapists and healers using them on clients and the results have been staggering. I am talking about spontaneous healing! I will write more about this in due course but for now am sharing an image which I have planned for the new deck. Yes there is a second one in the making which is an energetic upgrade. The Miracle of Sound will be one of a kind. If you have not experienced the Miracle of Light then you can purchase a deck from my website: www.colouryoursoul.uk.
For more information about the cards please message me. I am also planning a number of workshops that will take you from beginner to practitioner level.

Soul Art Creative Journey
Just wanted to share my experience today taking my client through a soul art creative journey.
First of all let me explain what the creative art journey is. Depending on where my client is at and their level of spiritual awareness, shall determine the outcome.

Art is a powerful medium not just for creative expression but for the soul to experience itself as it wants to expand and outgrow all existing belief patterns and restrictions placed on the self which is rooted in fear.
When the sitter is in a quiet, safe space where they give themselves permission to open up to their creativity, the story begins to emerge as hope and clarity outweigh the fear.
Just as in trance mediumship or physical mediumship where the entity is either materialised albeit physically, verbally or viscerally, there is a shift in consciousness as the sitter succumbs to the existence of their soul’s continuum, that which makes itself known.
What’s more compelling here is spirit revealing itself in the most subtle yet undeniable way; when you begin to see what was already there as it expresses itself through the sitter as they become lost in the process. Layer by layer we start to make those connections; realising all of our mannerisms and behaviour mimic that which already exists and manifests through us.
If you look closely you begin to see the materialism of a face and then others soon appear. We are not alone! The canvas is now in a continual state of flux, as spirit meanders through it; sometimes more obvious and at other times not. The more we look the more we see.
At first, the sitter was ambivalent and fearful but now he has been transformed through his own experience.

The Art of Drawing Animals
I have been hard at work drawing and discovering new and interesting techniques. What’s interesting is that I am beginning to enjoy animals more than faces. I feel more connected to them and each one has its own character.
So far I have drawn a parrot, rabbit, dog, leopard, tiger and wolf. The list keeps on growing as I continue to explore nature - the different colours and textures.
I feel things are changing - it could be that a different guide has stepped in. I just know it’s going to keep evolving. Perhaps I will combine faces and animals. I keep getting flashing images so definitely something brewing ... watch this space!

Animal Totems
I never thought I would ever be drawing animals, until I sat down about a week ago and decided to have a crack at it. Little did I know that spirit would step in and literally take over.
It has now become my drug - everyday I sit down and ask “what would you like me to draw” and we sit down and scroll through Pexel.com until something catches the eye.
I am beginning to appreciate the natural order of things as well as the messages that come through as a learning. The animal spirits are quite persistent and are a delight to explore and witness. Even though I would refer to this as my first attempt when you look at it you would never think so. As I mentioned before these have been divinely guided.

And so it is ....

Spirit Guides
Spirit guide drawings is a wonderful way of connecting and what I have found if late, bringing through their essence rather than a pretty face.
My drawing and techniques are evolving as I continue to develop myself in other areas. I am also finding that I am visiting more and wanting to include other aspects such as imagery into the drawing rather than an abstract background.
Here you can see one I had the pleasure of bringing through recently. Her spiritual essence filled the space and overwhelmed me. It felt as though I had been touched by her. Even though it was fleeting, it felt so powerful which had a ripple effect that permeated through me.
Drawing spirit guides is a privilege and cathartic experience not to be taken advantage of.

Mandalas
I attended a workshop recently and one of the things we had to do was a mandala. I had not attempted one before so was a bit dubious.
It wasn’t long before I started getting into it and suddenly everything became harmonious and began to flow. I was hooked! Sitting there for hours, my hands were cramping, my neck and back aches but I soldiered on. I had to complete it and I did.
There is nothing more satisfying than looking at the final image, appreciating all of the details and feeling really satisfied. I realise that mandala art is a practice and meditation and now I understand the importance of including this ritual in our daily lives. It is so beneficial for mind, body and soul as it takes us out of our heads and brings us closer to our true state of being.

Creativity and Inspiration
I had the pleasure this weekend if attending a visionary art workshop which was intense yet enjoyable.
Sitting in your power and having to focus for two whole days is quite challenging, however I find in those moments of pushing myself (although wouldn’t consider it to be an effort as I become so engrossed in what I am doing), I find that I accomplish so much more and exceed my own expectations.
This is an important aspect of the creative process as well as getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things, which is always refreshing. The workshop was centred around vision and perception; really training the eye to see beyond what is there and expanding the imagination that much further. This can be quite powerful and freeing as you become more immersed in that process.

Grounding in Nature
There is one thing I cannot live without and that is my daily walks, surrounded by nature. Every day I get to breathe in the fresh air, listen to the birds and immerse myself in the beauty that surrounds me. Today I became aware of the fluorescent green of the trees cascading through the woods; like a velvety blanket. It felt invigorating and uplifting.
Paying attention to these small details that is often taken for granted raises our vibration as well as perception. Colour is something I cannot, like the forest, live without. It forms part of our aura and energy field, it fills us with light and permeates through every cell in our body. Take a minute to breathe in and appreciate those subtle colour frequencies around you. Become aware of how you feel.
