But it soothes the stinging pain every time he swallows. His throat throbs. An ache cut deep into his muscles. He puts down the cup. It’s what’s best to free him from the pain. Now he sits and listens.

I know he wouldn’t, but imagine if Palpatine did physically lash out at Fox? Is he wary of the fact that this crusty dusty dinosaur being able to knock him to the ground with an actual punch? Yes. Does it keep him quiet? Also yes. I mean. It’s not like anyone would believe him. He’d be mocked at the sheer idea.

Every-time I think about a Fox ship I don’t get the appeal of I think about when people make the argument ‘they haven’t even met in canon’/‘they hate each other in their one canon interaction!’ and remember how dumb that idea is.

Rewatching season 5 - Fox is so damn lucky. He walks in right as Ahsoka stood up, he shows up in the right corridor when she arrives, walks out right in time to see her on the statue.

Imagine with me, if you will

Fox, at the end of a hundred hour shift, finally being able to step out of the main building. A few paces out and he finally registers the rain. When he does, the light, little patters of the small drops on his armour grow. Now the drops are large, and battering, thundering down on him. But unlike the majority of people, he doesn't think to get under cover, or even thank his stars that he's in armour, thus not getting wet. No. Instead he removes his helmet, clipping it to his side, and begins the slow walk back to the barracks. When he arrives he's drenched. Thorn meets him outside and tries to rush him in, but Fox won't move. He just stands in the rain for a couple more minutes. It hurts. The rain. It's hurting him. But once the water makes contact it gently rolls down his face, leaving behind a cool feeling. Not cold. Cool. It's remorseful, the rain is. It apologises for the stings and the pain. It leaves Fox feeling better. Finally he follows Thorn inside.

During a tactics discussion, Bly and Cody are dissecting Fox’s idea of them going via tunnels, arguing to do an aerial approach. All three know that Fox is correct, but Cody and Bly want to challenge Fox and push him to stand his ground and assert his authority. He doesn’t struggle to maintain rules, those are easy, but when it’s up in the air, that’s when Fox struggles to stay firm.

Fox sometimes exhausted in ever sense of the word, will take some food from the mess, lather it across the paper plate, and eat the whole thing.
