The love-hate relationship between Cody and Anakin is just so funny to me.

At first Anakin just thought Cody was unfunny as fuck and didn’t understand why Rex liked him so much but well Obi-Wan likes Windu and Windu isn’t really fun so maybe there’s something else.

Cody when he first meets anakin he’s like omg that guy is a fucking child and absolutely fucking crazy. How the fuck can my general, that sophisticated perfect Jedi of a man, supports that kid???

But after a battle together, Anakin has the chance to witness Cody’s dry humor with Obiwan and Rex (only in peace time ofc)(or near-death experience)(the truth is that, in battle, Cody keeps his witty comments to him so he doesn’t distract anyone) and well in this battle Cody sees skywalker in action and he’s like okay I don’t have to like him but I know I can trust him with my vod’e’s life.

After that, well it’s cats and dogs, Anakin tries to get Cody to likes him and Cody is either sarcastic or cold as fuck so Anakin pouts like the kid he is, and they just keep going on and on how the other is an asshole when they’re talking to obi-wan and Rex.

slowly they warm to each other, but only when they’re alone together (which doesn’t happen a lot) and they ofc keep complaining about each other with Rex and obi-wan.

And well, if Cody happens to need help to lock his general in his quarter so he will finally kriffing rest, it’s probably just a coincidence that Anakin seals his door with his lightsaber.

And if Rex ends up being thrown in a pond of bantha poop, it has absolutely nothing to do with the prank he played on Cody the day before.
