Nintendo is acting like the sheer amount of content in Mario Kart World makes the $80 price tag worth it, but I don’t think the direct reflected that. Most of it was stuff we already knew and/or has been a part of the series since day one. On one hand, the tiny bit of new info we got was good. I’m glad missions are finally back. The Ice Flower, Hammer, and Kamek all look like fun items. On the other hand, I get the feeling that they’re being vague due to a lack of confidence in the final product.

Very, very underwhelming.

Mario Kart Direct is tomorrow.

Even though I have no plans on getting Mario Kart World or the Switch 2 (unless they drop the game prices which probably isn’t happening), I’m still kinda looking forward to it. I guess because I’ve been waiting so long for a new Mario Kart that just the fact we’re getting one is still exciting.

Also wanna see what’s in this game that they think $80 is a reasonable price tag (nothing can justify it, but I digress).

Finally getting around to continuing my playthrough of Mystia's Izayaka. Haven't touched it since the weekend I tried it out, but I've really been wanting to pick it back up. Last thing I remember doing was unlocking the recipe for rice balls. Not really sure what to expect going forward, but I'm super excited to jump back into it and see what else this game has to offer.

Tried it out over the weekend and the little bit I played was a lot of fun.

I impulse bought it on Steam a while ago because it looked neat but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I don’t know much about Touhou (I do like some of the characters, though), nor do I know much about how the game even plays other than it being about running a restaurant/bar. Literally sold on the premise alone.

I got Echoes of Wisdom and the TTYD remake for Christmas this year.

I’m gonna play Echoes of Wisdom first as I already have a few other RPGs I need to finish, so I’m gonna hold off on playing TTYD until I at least finish Mario & Luigi Brothership.

I’ve been replaying Slime Rancher these past few weeks and it’s just as good as I remember it. I played the heck out of it when I got my first computer several years ago, and I’m so glad it still holds up.

Overdue follow-up to my previous post:

I'm loving Tides of Destiny so far. Best way I can describe it as pure, simple fun. With me not having a lot of time to play games because of work, I actually really appreciate how easy this game is to pick up and play.

I do like that the game puts combat and item creation before farming, because I think part of why I find 4 hard to stick with is that I wind up playing it like Stardew Valley and not an action RPG. Speaking of, I think the system of recruiting monsters to plant and tend your crops for you is neat, and I appreciate how it gives the player more time and RP for exploration, combat, and other activities.

Overall, the game is a ton of fun and full of charm. As of typing this I'm up to the second dungeon. Looking forward to seeing what this game has to offer as I get further into it.

With that new Rune Factory spinoff coming out I guess now would be a good time as ever to give Tides of Destiny a try.

One of my friends gave me his copy for Christmas a few years ago, but I never got around to playing it.

I have played Rune Factory 4. I enjoyed what I played of it quite a bit, but I’ve never committed to a full play through.

Anyway, I’ve been meaning to give Tides of Destiny a try for a good while now, but I’m gonna finally get around to it.

I didn’t even know there was going to be one.

Totally sympathize with all the people who are disappointed, but at the same time I think the community should try to not get their hopes up every time a direct or similar presentation rolls around.

Silksong comes out when it comes out, and I personally want the sequel to my favorite game to be the best it can be. I’m fine with Team Cherry taking their time.

must feel sooo awful to be a hollow knight fan right now...imagine not getting a silksong trailer in a combination indie world/partner showcase presentation 😭😭😭

Just finished Fire Emblem Awakening. It was really good.
