Help a Family in Need

I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Mohamad S., who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life. Mohamad is 37 years old and left his homeland in 2015 in search of a safer and better future. He’s a kind, hardworking man, and his small family has always been his greatest priority.

Living abroad, Mohamad has recently endured unimaginable loss and financial strain. Amidst the ongoing conflict in his homeland, his mother passed away, leaving behind his sister and her five young children—the last remaining members of his immediate family.

As the situation worsened, Mohamad managed to help his sister and her children escape to safety in Egypt, covering their immediate needs and securing a temporary refuge for them. Since then, he has been fully responsible for providing everything they need to survive during this transition.

In his efforts to support his family and cope with this devastating loss, Mohamad has found himself deeply in debt. To make matters even more difficult, he recently underwent knee surgery, which limits his ability to return to work for the foreseeable future. This has made it even harder for him to manage his financial responsibilities and the pressing need to provide his family with a stable future.

Mohamad is now working to bring his sister and her five children to join him in Belgium, where he hopes they can find stability and opportunity after all they’ve endured. This transition, however, requires significant resources that he is currently unable to meet alone.

For privacy reasons, we are not sharing Mohamad’s full name, as he has chosen to keep his identity discreet. While he initially refused the idea of asking for help, I couldn’t stand by and watch him struggle alone. I insisted on doing this for him because he deserves a chance to overcome these challenges.

Your contribution will help Mohamad repay the debt incurred during this difficult time, cover ongoing living expenses for his family, and assist with the costs involved in bringing them safely to Belgium.

Mohamad has been a good friend of mine for years, and I’ve always admired his resilience and generosity. Any support, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in helping Mohamad and his family rebuild their lives after these painful experiences.

Reverse Head Canons for Carla and Stan (Starla!!!!!!!!)

So I saw this one cute little comic that had Carla Mccorckle as Paz and Gideon’s Grauntie so I decided to take that idea and run with it.

Now in my head canon, Carla is their Grandma instead, for plot purposes. Her daughters are Pacifica’s mom and Gideon’s mom. They’re twins (fraternal). Now I know that judging from pictures the two don’t look similar but I personally think Gideon’s mom would look a bit more similar if she wasn’t so haggard from raising her hell spawn. Gideon and Paz call her Granny Carla. Which she claims to hate but secretly loves it.

Carla used to ride motorbike in her younger years and she still has it and rides it everywhere. Its a bit rusty but it’s still good. It’s got a little side car for the kids since she doesn’t own a car. Motorbike is named Steve. There is no reason for this.

Carla and McGucket co run the mystery shack. Carla is the one who lives there while McGucket has his own place in town. McGucket creates all her animatronic fake attractions and Carla presents them in a grand tour.

Carla is an excellent tour guide. She’s incredibly enthusiastic when telling the stories behind each of her attractions. She’s eccentric when giving tours but very sassy to her customers. Tourists appreciate her humour.

Carla around the townsite is another story. She’s got a reputation for having a fiery attitude and quite the temper. She takes shit from nobody and doesn’t care if she breaks a few road laws when on her bike. Everyone calls her hotpants for more reasons than one.

Carla where’s a suit around the shack when she’s doing tours and running the place. On her down time she where’s hot pants and a baggy t shirt that was a Mother’s Day gift from her twin girls. It says ‘teenage daughter surviver’ on the front.

Instead of having a rivalry with the twins, Carla’s rivalry is with Stan. All the efforts that they put into their attractions are made to one up each other.

Carla doesn’t really consider the twins when she thinks about competing with Stan and the tent of telepathy. She thinks of them more as props and attractions but not her actual competition. All her fury is focused on Stan. She doesn’t particularly start to dislike them until they start messing with her grandkids.

She adores her two grandkids. She doesn’t know Pacifica all that well but she has a very close relationship with Gideon. Paz and her develop a strong bond when Paz starts working at her mystery shack for the summer.

She and Gideon share the same love of colour, and eccentric and social personality. While she and Paz share the same snarky humour, and rebellious attitude.

Carla, Pacifica, and Gideon all have the same colour of eyes. Violet tinted blue.

Stan is still very much in love with Carla, though he does his damnedest to ignore it. Some times she just catches his attention no matter what. Stan is pretty similar to his canon self, he’s still a con man and has a bunch of issues with the IRS, but he’s a lot better at getting away with his crimes.

He’s very charming and charismatic, and he gives of an aura of authority to everyone he meets. He’s a great liar and can play the tourists and townspeople without any issues.

He still considers the people of Gravity Falls the dumbest people on earth and looks down on them with a good level of contempt. But he hides his animosity well enough so that pretty much everyone likes him.

He runs the tent of telepathy, but he also runs a buisness where he displays some of the strange things found in gravity falls, this is also the place where he sells merchandise for the show. He calls it the mystery museum just to piss Carla off.

He is a lot more cunning than his canon counterpart. He’s good a manipulating people and lying to their face. He’s not as likely to just say what comes to his mind, not unless he knows there will be no consequences for him. He will tell people what they want to hear in order to get in their favour and stay at the top of the food chain.

He’s a lot more of a bitter jerk than he is in canon. He keeps to himself but does tend to hold hatred for lots of people that he meets. Which is why he never minds treating people like crap or scamming them.

He doesn’t particularly like the twins, though he holds some sentiment towards Mabel since she was a sweetheart when she was younger. He doesn’t like her spoiled brat attitude but he likes how dedicated she is to the show.

He feels a certain disdain towards Dipper and the feeling is mutual. He finds the kid really creepy and a big smartass. He is also slightly afraid of how powerful and dangerous Dipper is becoming and of how obsessed he is with the journals. The only thing he likes about Dipper is that he barely speaks to him and keeps to himself.
