I’ve thought this since 2021 but I never said it because it disagreed with the fanon but the general agreement that c!Ranboo was a spineless person with no moral backbone who fell to peer pressure frequently was incredibly false. Way too many people thought this and they probably still do but it’s so wrong. c!Ranboo made mistakes but he absolutely did not "lack a backbone".

I’d say he was the opposite of spineless actually he’s very stubborn. Specifically after he gets outed as a traitor by c!Dream, if he was spineless he would have shut up after being outed and started collecting resources like he was asked to. If he had no moral backbone he wouldn't have been a traitor to begin with because he would have followed the morals of his country instead of his own and stayed in his lane. Instead he goes on a massive rant to everyone that would listen about how they all suck for picking sides and chasing power.

c!Ranboo lets people think he is spineless, tells himself that he falls to peer pressure easily so that he doesn’t have to confront the fact he’s doing all of this consciously. It’s far easier to say "Technoblade peer pressured me into giving his armour back" than to admit he admires Technoblade for his loyalty and his independence and wanted to help him. Easier than admitting that the butcher army he was made a part of was wrong. That his country and its cabinet were wrong.

Ranboo wasn’t a traitor because he didn’t have morals, he was a traitor because he did have morals and he stuck to them. They might have changed over time, but that change didn’t happen because someone told him too and he was easily swayed like people seemed to think.
