Sooooo, the new blog is finally up! If you guys want to go and check it out. It’s pretty bare bones at the moment, but I think it’s pretty good for a fresh start. I’ve released a new description, and all the current into about the ROs, including current portraits.

So...

I know this blog is, well, been pretty much dead for over a year now? And some things have changed. Long story short, I lost the entirety of the story. The planning, the world building, the characters. Everything. My laptop hard drive gave out, and I lost it and everything else I had on it, including other books I was working on. I was devastated, and extremely undermotivated. So, I just never logged back on. 

But that isn’t fair to you all. You guys were and still are absolutely amazing, and you deserve some kind of closure. So, I intend to eventually archive this blog. I will admit, I was only 21 when I started writing this, with 6 months of planning under my belt and the vaguest idea of a story and dove headfirst. That was my mistake. Which led me to be undermotivated towards working on my project and this blog. I wrote myself into a wall. 

So, I apologize for my neglect, and my youth. 

If you intend to stick around, feel free to do so. I’m not giving up. I just had to step back for a while and reassess. The story has changed. I as a person have changed. So, keep an eye out for a future update. The story isn’t over. Just a little different. And just for a little teaser:

I'm sorry to hear about the story loss and a but bummed at the fact this one will be discontinued since I just settled on a look for my MCs, BUT I'm glad you let us know and I'm looking forward to learning about what you have planned. So good luck and don't overwork yourself!

Thank you, anon. I was absolutely devastated when I lost everything. And ah, I think I should have made it clear in my post (completely my fault) but I have no plans to discontinue this story. I am just moving to a new blog, and I'm making sure I take my time to put it together allot more than this blog.

The story isn't changing much, just getting revamped, and a new name, from Crown of Thorns and Roses to Whispers of Anarchy. I apologize if I hadn't made that clear!

So please, don't give up on your MCs!

Edit: As it was brought to my attention by a kind anon, I am not discontinuing this story! It is getting a new name, a new blog, and a revamping, but that’s it! It will still be the same story, just with better planning.

what race is Vanerith?

He is a demon! If I remember correctly, he's also about 9 feet tall.

Will the MC be allowed more controlling options in the future. She's a royal yet is pushed around by all. Like an option to just leave when she is pushed by the head guard into fighting and reminding her who is the one with power. And punishing people that they think are audacious?

Yes! The MC will be able to be more demanding/controlling/upfront. I just didn't write it the first time around in this version of the demo.

There's also a matter of the Royal!Mc being rather complacent to people around them. They were raised by certain people to act a certain way, at least in front of them. Through the game, Royal!MC will have the chance to grow and be more demanding and take up space.

Is the rebel's mother the runaway queen?

Yes! Good eye, anon! Basically, the two routes, Royal and Rebel, are the same up until Queen Isadora runs away. The Royal route occurs if the Queen leaves her child behind. The Rebel route occurs when the Queen succeeds in escaping with the MC.

This will be explained a little later in the demo in more depth.

Is this game dead

This game isn't dead, my dear! I simply had to step away from writing, and this blog consequently, for a time.

I did not plan this game out well as I should have. I jumped ahead of myself and posted the demo before I had a real sense of where I wanted to go with the game. I kind of wrote whenever I had the motivation? And with adhd, that's rare at the best of times. So I had to revaluate some things. But I have an outline now! I'm also currently rewriting the demo to be a bit clearer, and expanding on certain aspects. And as to why I disappeared....

The day of my birthday I received news my grandfather had 2 types of aggressive cancer with 3-6 months to live with no treatment. And I just kind of shut down? He's better now, and I've started writing again. Updating may be slow, but I'll be on here more often.
