Sometimes I see fics or posts where people are like “Will tolerates the cannibalism but he’s not really into it”, and like… did you watch that scene where Will convinced Hannibal they were cooking Freddie?? (Obviously it wasn’t Freddie, but my understanding is that it was still human (most likely Randall Tier), since Hannibal would’ve been able to taste it if it wasn’t.)

Like, Will was so into that, and there’s no way you’re convincing me that it was all acting for Hannibal’s sake. Even the scene where they’re eating the birds—no, it’s not cannibalism, but that’s a really weird thing to be as into eating as Will was—reinforces that.

And do I think that Will would’ve naturally gravitated towards cannibalism on his own (even if he were a killer on his own)? No. I don’t think it’s part of his pathology like it’s part of Hannibal’s. But that man is not “tolerating” the cannibalism. He is eating gourmet human for all his meals, and he is loving every second of it.
