CPST is Cancelled.

I kid you not. It's cancelled. Cancelled with no chance of return unless if someone else picks it up. Yes, CPST is dead. Now it's Overbert 😭😭😭💀💔

While I still wanted to show CPST to the world, life had other plans, so something had to be done. Because of my lack of motivation to keep working on the webcomic as well as being inactive in the Club Penguin community, I have left with nothing but cancelling the project. Time restraints, school, and having to focus on school as an attempt to be more successful in getting my dream job also exist.

For those who have been looking forward to CPST, I'm sorry. I just have no other thing to do when I lost my passion to work on the project and being inactive in the Club Penguin fandom. Hell even I'm sorry to MYSELF for cancelling, I was really looking forward to the project but then I lost my focus on it and I got a brainrot on a game that is not Club Penguin, which made me feel that this project is too ambitious for me.

I still love the characters though, so I'll just keep them as my OCs. I'll still make ref sheets to the last member the team and other planned characters, but besides this, there will be no big ambitious fanfics featuring them like the CPST webcomic, so you won't see the entire adventure of the team unless if I pick up this idea again, but it'll take a while. q-q

I still wanted to do something for Club Penguin's 20th anniversary, but because of brainrot, I am not sure what to do about this, and if I do, fortunately I won't make my contribution to the anniversary too ambitious or big. Hopefully.

I don't know what to end this, so I'll just say that I hope you understand and accept that CPST is over. Enjoy the rest of your life, aight? Thank you for sticking around!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING CLUB PENGUIN SMILE TEAM

Unfortunately, CPST will be going on an indefinite hiatus (maybe several months) due to difficulties, the creator (myself) being significantly less active on the Club Penguin community, busy with life and having lack of motivation to write. The release date for the webcomic will be changed into "Unknown" as well. I know this is a shame. But delaying it has to be done. Of course work towards CPST will resume in several months, so please don't worry. I promise to actively work on CPST again someday, but right now it's not 100% guaranteed because of the forementioned reasons. But I still hope to work on it again someday.

Here's also another announcement regarding CPST. Whenever I work on CPST again, the story and its format will be overwritten. Yes, it will NO LONGER be a plot and lore-oriented story. I will make it a slice-of-life-type of story. I know it might make it more boring and less engaging, but it also has to be done. This is to make writing easier and less messy for me (hopefully). I'm aware that I might have been plunging your excitement and anticipation down the drain. But again, it has to be done to reduce the stress from writing.

I'd also like to remind you that I'm just a human AND there are only two people working on the comic, one of which is myself. The other person provides advice and suggestions to the writing, while I'm in charge of basically everything else in the webcomic. We're just two people with a small following working on the comic.

I apologize for not actively giving away updates regarding Club Penguin Smile Team. Life has been difficult, I have one fandom that I am way more active on than Club Penguin, I have school, and I actually do NOT feel confident about writing - not just CPST, but also writing in general. Fortunately I plan to practice writing and hopefully build confidence, however I had to give it some thought before doing that.

Current CPST Progress Writing for Ch1 is almost done! One part to go. If I finish writing two/three chapters, we will host a beta reading session and let you give feedback! I also gave CPST private wiki (which I was working on for a few months) to my writing assistant to help improve the writing. 🐧

I'm working on the webcomic story, but the problem is that I have trouble with writing without the fear of having the writing ending up being messy and boring. But then I had an idea.

About Club Penguin Smile Team

Club Penguin Smile Team (CPST for short) is an upcoming webcomic made by Noncandy (aka Jiuzi). Supposed to be the "20th anniversary project", it is in early development and is expected to release on 2025. It follows the adventures of four penguins trying to save the 20th Anniversary of Club Penguin Island and make the event more memorable. The webcomic will be hosted on Neocities using Rarebit.

It takes place in an alternate version of Club Penguin if it was never closed and reached its 20th year. Despite this, it was the just the almost-same Club Penguin universe with the addition of brand new characters, places and other elements.

In addition to Jiuzi writing the plot, Snor will aid her on writing.

I will keep you updated via this page. However, please don't expect that I will always do, I mean, I have lots of work to do like school, tackling computer problems and other stuff 😭
