I have my second round of interview tomorrow morning and I’m just nervously writing. It’s like Grad school again.

I thought this would be a funny scenario. Happy endings for everyone!

I gave up on the first panel as soon as I finished coloring the second one.

Based off of those couples doing the decor thing on TikTok. I also found the images from homegoods and Walmart websites. I also kept messing up the faces so enjoy.

Maysilee: Wyatt, we are not putting that in the living room…

Wyatt: But the dogs are adorable.

Maysilee: I think the one in the middle looks like your brother.

Wyatt: That’s fair.

I keep seeing those TikTok’s of couples doing the home decor stuff and thought this is them.

I’ll probably work on this slowly cause it will be multiple pictures.

my submission for the 2025 dbd cosmetic contest!! notes about the details below!! :3c

this year, i wanted to depict him as more of a charon-type character rather than a killer. this ties into his lore & personality of being a reluctant killer, often depicted as an angel of death, hence why he’s “the wraith”: an apparition meant to act as a death omen rather than the cause itself.

the wheel motif on his clothing references the constant cycle of life and death. the bones in his jewelry and the presence of flowers/moss on his person also represent this duality.

the plants he carries are rosemary (in his hair), often used in funeral rights and representing remembrance. on his belt are gladioli, a common funeral flower representing remembrance and transformation, and wolfsbane, a poisonous flower associated with hecate, a cthonic goddess of crossroads.

it’s a little hard to see, but there are small brass bells hanging from his antlers, from the two long necklaces draped over his shoulders, on the tips of his cloak, and on his weapon. this is meant to tie into his percussive sound design.

in this cosmetic, he’s wearing four masks, each an animal representing a person he has lost, but also representing aspects of philip himself. the masks are both a nod to the importance of masquerades his culture but also another reference to hecate, who is often depicted with multiple faces.

the barn owl on his head represents his grandmother, as owls often represent wisdom and spirituality. they can also be seen as messengers from the spirit world.

as an owl famous looking ghostly and hunting exclusively at night, this also ties into philip’s powers and role in the fog (this is also why his eyes are pitch black, his cowl is wreathed in barn owl feathers, and he has black talons for fingernails).

on his back, the snake mask, specifically a ball python, is meant to represent his mother, as ball pythons are associated with divine femininity and protection. the leopard mask is meant to represent his father, as leopards can represent strength, protection, and masculinity.

finally, the doe mask is meant to represent funanya, as does often represent gentleness, guidance, innocence, and alternatively, the fragility of life, as deer are often victims of not only natural violence, but of human violence.

the colorful spots on the four tails of his cloak are meant to mirror eyespots on moths, who are associated with transformation and decay. the shape of the cloak is meant to mimic the shape of moth’s wings themselves.

and finally, his weapon is a lantern, which is another signifier of the “death guide” theme.

Wyatt x Maysilee headcanons/ramblings from a girl who’s friend hasn’t finished the book and she can’t spoil them on anything.

These are in no particular order, just writing as I think. Anybody wanna add on with their own headcanons, go ahead, I’d love to read them.

Maysilee made them matching necklaces for their 1 year anniversary of dating.

Wyatt tries to see Maysilee after his shift at the mines, but he sometimes ends up falling asleep while they are together.

Maysilee likes to pick out Wyatt’s clothes when she goes to his house, before they go on a date.

They talk about their future together, (how many kids, what they want in life, home decor… etc)

Girl dad Wyatt!!!

Maysilee would take Wyatt her math homework to ask him for help, even though she knows how to do them.

If Wyatt finds pretty or strange rocks, he’ll gift them to Maysilee.

Adding on to this, he will also find lost jewelry and gift it to her so she can make it into something else or just add it in her collection.

They get along with each other’s siblings.

Maysilee would randomly ask weird questions to see if Wyatt can come up with the odds. (A question would be like, “what are the odds I survive a day hiding from an angry gorilla?”)

Wyatt tries to make jewelry with Maysilee but he ends up just sorting her beads and strings instead.

They like to write notes/letters to each other about anything.

Wyatt tries to teach Maysilee how to roll a coin along her knuckles.

Both assumed they’d never find someone and settle down.

Maysilee’s canary Lou Lou loves Wyatt.

Modern au

Maysilee has Wyatt take her pictures for instagram.

Wyatt doesn’t have TikTok, so Maysilee gets him to do couple trends or regular trends to put on hers.

Maysilee does Wyatt’s nails to test nail polishes.

Wyatt makes sure to count his sweatshirt and sweaters because Maysilee will steal them to wear.

Even though they have phones they write letters to each other.

Maysilee has Wyatt do her face cleansing routine with her.

They have a shared Spotify playlist. (I think that’s how Spotify works).

I like to imagine Maysilee trying on a lot of different lipsticks to figure out which one she likes better, but she uses Wyatt as a transfer test for them. So he’s just there with multiple lipstick marks on his face where she kissed him, enjoying life.

I feel like she’d also test nail polish on him to see how fast they dry and how many coats it’ll take to look good.
