(Almost) the end of the first round, all of the infantry and battle armor were still either in carriers or on Mechs at this point. I thought I had taken more, but this was the only one I could actually find.

What's the largest match of Battletech yall have played? In terms of units on board. Just 'Mechs, mine is a 6v5 ISvClan match. Sphere won because of course they do. Combined arms, I think mine would be closer to 8v8ish, a Lance each and then supporting arms. I'd love to hear yours!

16k combined arms, IS vs. Clan. Clan player brought a star and 2 points of elementals. IS (me) brought a Lance of mechs, a company of foot infantry, 2 platoons of jump infantry, 3 VTOL's, and 7 CV's.

So, it's the first day of the new semester, I'm vibing and half paying attention as the professor goes over the syllabus, when I hear "The math lab tutors don't have the background or competency to help you with this level of math."

In addition, GovTrack (which is a nonpartisan tracker) places her in the MOST politically left-leaning categories of Senators. So we've got a very liberal, woman of color who's spent her career trying to mitigate draconian tough-on-crime laws to benefit the accused and keep black people out of prison and decrease recidivism and that's somehow...just barely tolerable.

So I ask again...what is that you're dissatisfied with? Is it Palestine? as recently as March she was calling for a ceasefire and demanding aid to Gaza. Keep in mind she's pretty constrained as to what's possible to do in this situation.

Is it just that she was a prosecutor? That is an important job that needs to be done and we WANT people doing it who aren't rah-rah tough-on-crime Gestapo types, which she is not. We need prosecutors who are addressing the root causes of crime and looking for ways to help people escape the cycle, which she has done to the point that she was often called SOFT on crime.

So what is your objection here? Is it that her politics aren't 100% aligned with a bunch of Tumblr socialists? I got news for you...we Tumblr socialists DO NOT REPRESENT THE ELECTORATE. If such a candidate existed, they would not win.

Democrats struggle sometimes because our tent is large. Republicans just want you if you're a straight white man and preferably rich. There's room for a lot more types in the lefty side, but sadly that means a lot of room also for dissention among the ranks. This is how they get us. Let's not let them, huh? Just a suggestion.

I'm dealing with this right now, and it's the worst. I'm Demi/Grey for both aro and ace, and my brain like, two weeks ago just decided "hey, you know these two friends you have? You feel ways about them right now." It especially sucks because I just...can't do anything about it? One's in a relationship, and the other is also aroacespec and isn't interested in anything at this point in time. Even if they were, it's like...how long is this going to last for, and am I sure I would actually want to pursue something with this person? So it's just like...brain, can we please go back to not caring about this soon?

(on a side note, it's actually a bit suprising how many people I know irl that are aroacespec. I feel like I'm collecting them sometimes)

one thing no one tells you about existing on the aroace spectrum is that because it IS a spectrum there may be times in your life where you experience romantic attraction or sexual attraction or both.

and sometimes that shit is going to hit you out of nowhere and you just look down and see your very attractive friend's cleavage and you just BAM have to FEEL some type of way about it.

after being like inordinately horny for the past month. it's SO confusing.

because i'm typically a "eh" or "i could eat" ace when it comes to sex, but occasionally i'm a "i'm suddenly STARVING and everything looks good" type and it's like oh my god what the fuck is happening, but i just have to LIVE LIKE THIS.

Growing up with autism and being on the ace and aro spectrums was...an experience. Not only did I not understand the social rules and expectations, but I didn't really understand what it was like to have a crush, or be interested in someone sexually. I didn't know my experience was so different from everyone else's. I think I was...15(?) the first time I had any kind of romantic interest in someone, and it wasn't until after I had gotten to know them, and I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to ruin the fragile friendship, didn't want to be mocked or ostracised again by making a social mistake, breaking a rule I didn't know about. So, I did the only thing I knew how to do, even if I didn't really have words for it. I bottled it up, and I masked.

Do you know what that does to a teenager, let alone an autistic one, that grew up in a home where they didn't feel loved, or safe, or that they could trust their parents?

It's only by looking back that I really start to understand how that effected me, how it broke me in little ways. Hairline fractures that couldnt be seen, but have been felt ever since.

I don't think a lot of people realize what it's like not only to struggle to sleep because of chronic pain, but to also be afraid of sleeping because you know the nightmares will come. There are nights where I'm constantly on the verge of falling asleep, but the fear and anxiety of those is just enough to keep me from actually getting there. On the nights where I do sleep, when I finally slip into the horrors, it's never for more than 3-5 hours.

my heart goes out to you if you're a disabled person who has a complicated or negative relationship with sleep. if you need to sleep a lot but can't due to life circumstances, or sleeping extra causing other symptoms to flare up. if you can't sleep enough due to pain, or nightmares, or psychosis, or bipolar, or depression. if you sleep way too much and find it hard to stay awake. if you can't fall or stay asleep. if you need medication in order to be able to sleep. if you don't feel rested from sleep. if you wake up a lot in the night. if you have bladder or bowel accidents while asleep. if you twitch or convulse or move too or get injured in your sleep. if you can't control your sleep schedule no matter what. if you can't sleep during "normal" sleeping hours. if you can't sleep for 8+ hours straight but can sleep for shorter amounts of time. if sleep is what you need but for one reason or another you just can't or refuse to do it.

i care about you. your disabilities deserve to be seen and acknowledged

Like I'm autistic too and I get the frustration that communication difficulties can result in, but we all gotta work towards finding common ground. Appreciating smalltalk isn't inherently superficial, being polite isn't inherently fake, and not appreciating brutal honesty doesn't make people oversensitive. And you won't get very far if that's your attitude towards every social norm you struggle to understand

From academic weapon that hyperfixates on school to burned out Hollow wreck of a person in 3-4 months, almost every semester. Is it my fault? A little. Oh, and let's not talk about what the public education system was like. It's better that way.
