Oshi no ko absolutely ruined all of its characters. Aqua Hoshino had so much potential as a character n its so upsetting to see his character get wasted after the Tokyo blade arc. His relationship with ai was SO F*CKING COMPELLING- the constant mystery of the readers/viewers & aqua himself trying to understand whether he views her as a mother, a romantic interest, a favourite idol or even a reminder of sarina-chan. Its was such an interesting plot especially when akane was acting as ai n we got to see aqua's reaction to that & how it affected his relationship with akane. Speaking of akane, I hate how her suicide was js an undermined plot point which had absolutely no development other than her becoming an aqua simp. I would've loved to see her inner monologue on a second chance at life and how it affected her acting & rivalry with kana (which was also extremely poorly handled). Aqua, Ruby and Hikaru should've also gotten more in dept conversations & interactions (especially ruby & Hikaru) But despite all this imo the 2 most poorly handled characters were Ruby and Kana: Ruby had an amazing potential to become one of the most layered characters, js like aqua. Her hospital life still affecting her mental health (maybe something like a fear of hospitals or falling & claustrophobia) and her having ptsd from ai's death resulting in some trust issues w her own fans, etc. But they had to ruin it w her finding out aqua was goro & js completely dropping any other development in her character, same going for kana. She had a good background but its was wayyy too stretched out & her rivalry w akane was never covered in dept. The scandal was such a pathetic excuse for kana development I can't even bring myself 2 talk abt it. An amazing actor who understand the audience perfectly becomes an idol js cause of a stupid crush & is later sacrificed as js a love interest whose worked up abt her crush not talking 2 her?? U cannot be serious rn. Kana & ruby were both such amazing characters in the start but then this shii ruined it.

I hate how ppl start defending ksi & Logan Paul w/o even knowing what the real reason for the hate is. Ksi n Logan both started unnecessary drama w DanTDM for js calling them out on their bs product to the point where its so bad that stores had to remove it from shelves in the first few weeks alone. THATS Y THERES SO MUCH HATE FOR THEM (not even mentioning the de@d body thing w Logan Paul) Thick of it is an avg cringey song which some ppl may like the beat of or some shi but in the end the hate comes from all the stuff they've done resulting in the huge backlash. Also, ksi's obsession w DanTDM after MONTHS of him making a small post on twitter (or x idk) is js proving the point of how he's so insecure abt his product that he has to go after one of the only nice minecraft ytbers to sell his product- even making jabs abt how popular he is, his post on him n his child, his gaming career, etc etc. How can u even defend him after all this shi bruh 🙏

Idk what happened to mrbeast man :( its actually rlly sad cause now after the Ava Kris Tyson shit we've seen stuff like lunchly which aims at taking advantage of their young audience and sell them shit which contains WAYY too less of calories and way too much sodium for the calories to be sufficed. I remember the times when jimmy would actually cry in his vids when hearing abt someones difficult background but now he doesn't even bat an eye when eliminating someone. Another thing that no ones talking abt: the squid game aspect of it. All the challenges in squid game are fair for both men and women, but beast games only caters challenges for young athletic men. Squid games is also F*CKING ILLEGAL not only cause of the elimination process, but also how it slowly corrupt ppl & how the participants are allowed to hurt each other. Besides the killing, mr best made sure they had a life WORSE than what the players did in the show (had to sleep in sleeping bags on the floor with all the participants, players were heavily injured and never properly taken care of, food was scarce, etc). The fact that the men in the show saw these women/children/elders & started beating the shit out of them to eliminate them and jimmy js probably stood there watching... Rossana's js making a little too much sense now...

Can we talk abt how well made mouthwashing truly is?? Like I don't see anyone talking abt how amazing the game play in itself is.. The pixelated quality, the unsettling vibes, the back-and-forth storytelling is just so well done. One of my fav scenes were Swansea's final words to J!mmy and how he called him out, exposing him for what he truly was; his hero complex, his oblivious attitude, him not taking responsibility for curly, Anya and Daisuke, especially when u think abt the father-son dynamic that Daisuke and Swansea had. The mouthwash metaphors are even better; how they tie into all of the characters in one way or another, ESPECIALLY CURLY AND JAMAL: The mouthwash/Curly can only take care of 99% of the germs/problems and will always miss that 1% (Jamaica) which leads to their demise. However, J1mbo and the mouthwash, both being presented as helpful but in the end only doing harm as the sugar rots your teeth. Its beautiful storytelling but also disgusting at the same time.
