ON GOD? IS THIS FINALLY A FULLY FINISHED PIECE??? yes. :> yes it is.

THIS TOOK ME SO LONG TO DO. 17 hours of straight grueling work. but honestly? it fucking paid off. i am so proud of how this came out.

genuinely, i LOVE tfp shockwave, for so many reasons. first off?? his voice?? ugh lord strike me down where i STAND!!! also? his walk? his nonchalance? his utter unbotherability? the only time he gets even a little upset is when he's with starscream after star's failed assassination attempt #2, and honestly! i would've tried to kill him too!!!!

i love how tfp gives shockwave emotions, and they dont go the empurata route (i have feelings about empurata and shadowplay). like let my guy be evil! he doesn't need a tragic backstory! maybe he's just like that!!! good for him.

tfp shockwave, you are my beloved. you are my wife. you are the love of my life and i would do anything for you. you are a creature, a bug, a babe. i need to draw you more.

even though im most familiar with soundwave's design, shockwave is just so much fun to draw. he's got this shapelyness to him. he's not as complicated as other mechs (imo) and honestly i appreciate that so much.

on another note, i wholly believe that the tfp animators and writers were wavewave truthers. like, i dont know how they did it, but they gave soundwave n shockwave so much chemistry. which is insane because soundwave doesnt talk and they're only seen together a couple times. and yet, every time theyre together, its soundwave saving shockwave's aft.

like soundwave took on optimus prime 1v1 (well 1v2, cause laserbeak helped) FOR shockwave! soundwave outsmarted optimus prime FOR shockwave! soundwave and shockwave made fucking eye contact across a battlefield, and for what purpose?!? why?!? i dont know, but they DID!!! and to my autistic ass, eye contact is the deepest form of affection. therefore, they are in love your honor.

if you cant tell, the bridge scene lives rent free in my brain.

okay, i know i said that soundop was my roman empire. but these two are ALSO my roman empire. and to be fair there were like. three roman empires. so i think i can have multiple ones okay?

ANYWAY! I FUCKING LOVE BLASTER AND SOUNDWAVE!!!!!!

theyre rivals and nemesises but frankly they are both deployers, therefore they should KISS! make out SLOPPY STYLE! eternal yapper vs eternal listener! unstoppable force vs immovable object! the yin to his yang! they were MADE FOR EACH OTHER!!!!!!!!!!!

TFP SOUNDWAVE!!!!!!!

straight up, i love soundwave's design in tfp. it's so creature!! the digitgrade legs. the long skinny arms. the visor. the three dual knuckle fingers and a thumb.

i just love staring at its design and seeing the way everything fits together so perfectly. they really and truly cooked with this one. i do think soundwave is one of the best designs in the show, along with shockwave. they pushed "alien robots" so hard with those two designs and honestly, i think we should bring that vibe back.

while i do love my humanoid esque robots, i think we should make more room for Fuckin Creatures. give me more mechs that can be described as "no normal cybertronian, inside Or out."

which, by the way, can we talk about how fucked up the autobots treat soundwave and laserbeak?? like okay. i know that theyre at war, and i know that they're enemies. but they give fuckin megatron more dignity and respect than they do soundwave and laserbeak.

ratchet straight up suggests doing unconsensual brain surgery on soundwave. ratchet, wheeljack and raf plant a fake bomb inside laserbeak and corrupt her coding with a virus. like. guys, those things are war crimes. and the show never addresses that!! like?? what are you saying? its okay to commit war crimes against your enemies??? aren't the autobots supposed to be taking the moral high ground??

and again, i do get it from an objective standpoint. millions of years of war will do that to you. will push you. will change you. will break you. so i get it.

but i just think its very interesting how the show depicts laserbeak and soundwave's autonomy as something that is debatable! laserbeak is described as a drone and the autobots use it/its pronouns for her him, while the decepticons at least use he/him pronouns. ratchet uses the excuse of "well soundwave isn't normal" to further his agenda of cracking soundwave open! soundwave's alt-mode is a predator drone! its alt mode is the only UMV in the entire show!

i honestly could go on forever about this. i have so many thoughts about tfp soundwave in terms of autonomy, personhood, and identity. [squeezes soundwave like a stress ball] you are so important to me.

CAN I GET A HEY-YO FROM THE SOUNDOP STANS IN THE AUDIENCE?!?

sooooooo this is unfortunately destined to be a forever WIP. there are several things that need to be fixed, and all of them would require me to start from the sketch. given that the linework and flats are done, it's just not worth it to me!

but i still do really love this WIP. as ive said before, drawing tfp is so hard, and yet it is the continuity i draw the most LMAO. i just LOVE the character designs and how fluid they are. so many times with transformers, we get the same blocky shapes, but TFP really pushed the limits of what can be considered mechanical but also beautiful.

i love the greebling in tfp and i really hope i captured it with optimus' neck and chest in this. i mean, why is that man's upper chest so exposed!! my guy!!! you need to cover that shit up, they could kill you!!!!! its ok, im not slutshaming, i love the look, i'm just worried about the fact that you constantly go head to head with megatron and you have your internals exposed like that.

also, can we talk about how PRETTY soundwave is??? like for real, they didn't need to make it so hot. but they did, and i love them for that. thank you tfp artists and animators, yall did so much for the robotfucker community.

ANYWAY, BACK TO SOUNDOP

Fun fact, ive read almost every single english soundop fic on ao3. they are my roman empire. i think about them all the time. i think about the fact that both of them are archivists (in one capacity or another) and were forced into war. i mean soundwave chose to go to war (and i dont blame it, kaon was ROUGH), but at the end of the day i do truly believe that soundwave just wants a simple life.

AHHHHH VOIDRUNNER!!! VOIDRUNNER MY BELOVED!!!!!!

Voidrunner is the second seeker in my seeker trine. She's a medic, specifically a battlefield surgeon. voidrunner is very cunty, "do no harm take no shit" type beat. she can and will tell you off if you deserve it.

but she also is very sweet. she cares deeply about her patients and her trine. when waywalker defected, voidrunner was DEVISTATED. i mean, that's her emotional support trinemate!! what will she do without them?

go on a rampage and search the earth for them, that's what.

anyway, i really love voidrunner. designing her was a lot of fun. i really love TFP's shape language and character designs in general, and i hope i was able to emulate that style well. the trine themselves are based on racing planes, which is why her wings are so weird looking. voidrunner's altmode is specifically a rocketracer.

ive decided that the nose flap thingies??? idk what theyre called, but anyway they turn into swords. cause what's hotter than a girl with a sword? nothing.

i really need to draw her again, and finish designing the third seeker in the trine. his name is skysprinter, and he's very thundercracker-esque. just a chill dude.

I have nothing to say for myself. if i even TRY to talk about tfpwave i will not shut up. i have so many thoughts and feelings about this fuckin creature yall.

its my comfort creature. whenever im feeling especially bad, i just doodle tfp soundwave and almost instantly feel better. it just has that power over me.

learning how to draw tfp soundwave (and tfp in general) has been very difficult. but it's really pushed my art and made me into a better artist. i know these doodles have been old, but i promise some newer, much better stuff is in the queue. i cant wait for yall to see how much ive grown since i started making transformers fanart.

waywalker is one of the seekers in my seeker trine. the trine are obviously deceptions, and waywalker is the scout of the trine. they end up defecting from the decepticons when they reach earth. waywalker's spark was never really in the war, but they did it to stay with their trine siblings.

waywalker is very naive and innocent! they love fiercely and can be very jubilant. they love learning about humans and the earth! i like to describe them as a golden retriever....

danny is an old oc of mine, back from my cowboy days. he's transmasc and an absolute spitfire. With a temper as hot as the sun, it takes a lot to cool him down. but, it seems like waywalker found a way!

are they bros? are they partners? are they homiesexual? nobody knows. not even them. but they have each other's back until the end of the world.
