M1-4X is voiced by Tom Kane, who uses that same (for lack of better term) cadence for Fourex as he does for Clone Wars start-of-episode summaries.

So, what if Fourex retells (sometimes debriefs) missions of the Trooper and Havoc Squad in that EXACT fashion. (Not me planning this for my fic). Even later on when they go missing, and re-united he tells missions Trooper missed in the this style.

Just rambles

Been listening to writing lectures by Brandon Sanderson (honestly didn’t know who he was, just heard about him) and I really enjoy it.

So I’m actually doing (hopefully) better plotting with my characters and story

So Conflagration, my swtor female Trooper story is gonna be first to be tested. I have stuff out but may revamp a little.

Also I’m gonna have minor ocs from other classes partake. So not only do I want to work more on the Havoc Squad dynamic but other interesting ideas.

Friendly reminder that AO3 is fighting AI data scrapers on behalf of all fanfic writers!

According to the post below, AO3 issued a DMCA takedown after finding out that all works before March 2025 were scraped and uploaded as a dataset to potentially train AI. The ability to take legal action against scum like this is the direct result of people donating to AO3 so they can keep functioning and they don't pocket any of it because they are a non-profit organization.

So when you see the AO3 donation drives, please remember that this is what the money is going toward and support it when you can!

This was in my WIP for a long while now, but FINALLY got this finished. Wildfi’re and Aric!

Here’s the thing.

Having children, even prequel era, is not against the rules.

What the Jedi Order knows that being a Jedi is a commitment and so is raising a family. Heck, even being married is a commitment.

It’s not so much “oh forbidden love” both in romantic or familial, but because the life of a Jedi will often call to faraway places and even dangerous situations. It’s not just a job (Jedi are NOT cops), it’s a lifestyle.

It is easier for a Jedi to be willing to lay down their life without hurting a spouse or kids because of it. It’s very much a “the job comes first for the greater good.” You’d have to have someone that understands and accepts this. It’s this understanding that makes Kanan and Hera work so well, with Hera representing that with the rebellion. (Greatest example is their dynamic nearing the end of “A New Dawn”.)

Also, Satele didn’t raise Theron. (I can’t remember but I suspect he wasn’t a youngling because the lack of his Force Sensitivity.) She was married to her lifestyle which (guessing from her perspective, it’s been a while) would’ve been more damaging to go back and forth. In a way, it was a test of attachment and what would’ve been best for the kid. (Of course, that can be left for interpretation and I don’t have the energy to debate that lol).

On top that, her situation is very different than that of Anakin with Luke and Leia.

Satele Shan had a baby and still became the Grand Master of the Jedi Council. I don’t know why it was the worst crime in the galaxy for Luke and Leia to be born. The New Republic rules and divisions are weird, man. The Old Republic made more sense.

We’ve got an update friends and hindsight is hilarious. Spoilers below again.

As I progressed and thought about it, Theron mentioning the train not killing her twice sounded very intentional and at that point I wasn’t sure if I was overthinking or just a dialogue repeat.

Then I played my girl, hurt but clinging to hope for her friend because she just can’t accept this betrayal, not after what she went through. (She encourages the “come home, we can work together” but wasn’t all that hopeful because of her past experiences. Answers ranging from neutral to “save him/he could be helping us.” At that point it was starting to dawn on me that he’s doing this cause he’s found something.

Lo and behold

He is double agenting it

So the whole thing of “nothing he says makes sense for a LS character” makes sense now, but the energy stays the same narratively; at least for my trooper. (Although I would argue to make it more convincing for LS characters is something closer to “you claim to protect innocent people but your hands are stained with their blood as your preach on the rubble your created.” Or SOMETHING but more convincing. But then, to argue against myself, I can see him not doing so because he’s already pushing it and doesn’t want to say something that he knows could really sting regarding LS Outlander trauma? Idk I’m in rambling writer ideas mode.)

Oh also that haircut on Theron, I’m sorry, that’s a war crime. Skeletons in Republic’s closet well there’s one in the Alliance, and it’s under the toggles on hat mode for him.

SWtOR Umbara Nonsense

So first time reaching the scene with the traitor for the first time and haven’t played beyond it. I’ll hide this for spoilers sake and maybe someone will find amusement in my state of confusion and going “brother WHAT???”

Brief context because it makes this all so wild.

My girl is a trooper and mostly LS. On occasion there’s DS choices but that’s usually “justifiable” (that war criminal dude you meet when you’re doing your first meet Elara, which btw she and Jorgan approve, and then the end choice for the class because the LS option is so dumb???)

She’s also not romancing Theron. She’s been married to Aric Jorgan and committed. (If I do a character romancing Theron, thinking a Jedi class that’s a descendant of Carth Onasi).

So Theron says this (and I’m quoting because I recorded this for fanfic writing purposes/references)

“I followed you because I believed you’d end the cycle of war. I thought we’d finally be free once you took down Valkorian. But the Alliance outgrew you. Now it’s rotting from the inside, the Galaxy’s fighting back, and you’ve become a symbol of oppression. So much for your dream of peace.”

Symbol of oppression? You mean, from what I’ve gather (face value) the biggest faction to provide RELIEF AND AID for ALL SIDES who suffered from Valkorian??? The life line of this place that has the diverse with their own connections to get to the (now dwindling according to mail from Hylo) resources?

And on top of that, character-wise, the leader of Havoc Squad that has time and time again made choices to put the people first, defying some orders (such as chapter 1 with those civilians not sure if they have those dangerous implants in and Garza gave the execution order), calling people out, exposing politicians, holding her loyalty to her home (the Republic) to be the middle man for peace multiple times so to create a better future- she is the symbol of oppression? The one who said “I’m no Empress. Let the people of Zakuul decide” and also asks the opinions of those beside her for their input before making choices that impact everyone??

And the only reason she sided back with the Republic was because game story-wise I was cornered and Arcina already broke the alliance by sneaking onto my territory to get a super weapon, and Vim (my trooper lol) wouldn’t trust that after living through the Sacking and the treaty from that. (But she is very angry at the Republic because where were they???) On top of the only reason she was so ready-to-destroy Empire was because the other two options out of the three were “I’m the boss, you listen to me, don’t take the credit” and flirting with Theron’s dad right in front of him. (Though I’d like to imagine a timeline where this Theron traitor arc only comes to play because you flirted with Malcom multiple occasions. I just think that’s funnier.)

Alright so maybe not her personally since he mentions “Alliance outgrew you, now it’s rotting from the inside.”

Okay so I can see that, BUT, again it leaves me to wonder.

Instead of going to the Commander that you also consider as a friend and have already talked thing about, saying “Hey, this is looking like a problem,” he instead is all “March 15 let’s goooo”

I even had her ask: “If you felt this way, you should’ve come to me first.” To WHICH HE RESPONDS:

“I wanted to tell you, but I knew you’d try to talk me down. I couldn’t take that risk.”

So he KNOWS better?? On top of her saying: “If you topple the Alliance, millions will die!”

“If that’s the cost of peace, so be it.” WHAT???? Peace at the cost of innocent people?????

I’m-

I’m no Theron analysts, I might for when closer to writing my fic when he shows up more, but I’vebeenburnedwithhowGeneralIronwoodwashandleddont@me is it just me or does this seem… like a weird flip? We got visual cues of his doubt, but that would make sense if the Outlander took position of Emperor/Empress, wouldn’t it? Again, all I’ve seen is the Alliance providing aid and only fighting when literally pushed to it. We have criminals working for us but nothing has brought up or been hinting of being a huge issue?

I dunno. I haven’t gotten to the Flashpoint yet in Umbara so maybe there’s a reason. Maybe he’s doing double agent because he figured (as stated twice on my playthrough) that a train wouldn’t kill my girl but hey, we’ll see.

Also love picturing my trooper, calling her husband about another person supposed to be close to her betraying her, how she jumpstarted to being Havoc leader and the bond she and Aric shared, in the exact same energy as Snapcube Eggman’s “I’M BACK IN THE F***ING BUILDING AGAIN??”

I just had a random thought: As long as a force-sensitive person's body is still present in the galaxy, their "presence" will remain with it until it is fully decomposed. This is why jedi burn their dead, so that their friends can live on in the force instead of decaying alongside their physical bodies. The Empire preserved Luminara's corpse because they knew that other jedi would sense her presence clinging to her body, therefore come to rescue her because they would think she was still alive.

That makes... a horrible amount of sense ghghghkgdhs.
