Cupie
yesterday we enjoyed
morning doves and dewdrops
going outside to shout and play
bikes down the sidewalk
to the park
there was no disappointment.
no one said things to be mean
everyone knew a friend and
had some sort of system
everything worked.
our love was innocent
good gestures never went unnoticed
when fun was small
and tame. Our
friends are strangers
and our
fun is stuck behind
buttons and wires.
the doves are silent
today.

Did someone say custom fanfiction????
Hello !! I'm new to tumblr still so yall dont know me well, but I'm Cupie ! im journeying out of my comfort zone of reading into writing of my own in terms of fanfictions and my own character ideas. I need some help deciding which fandoms and ships i should start writing about for practice though, so I asked myself, "How do I find a good, new ship to write for, while also being able to get into new media?"
Asking my peers !
If any of you guys have media you adore , but not enough ship content for your favs; and you dont want to deal with the effort , Im actively looking to take FREE CUSTOM FANFICTION REQUESTS ! Any media you can think of that you need covered, dont be hesitant to reach out !
In between fics I happen to write short stories (which are all related *wink wink*) of my own characters, which you can find on my tumblr under a writing prompt, to see my writing style.
I hope to hear back from you guys!
[also for mod purposes, i pinky dinky promise that I'm not a bot]

in relation to each other , the elements
prompt 2601
Write a paragraph about what happens on the perfect date. This can be from memory or it can be fiction. Now take each aspect of the description and introduce a challenge or a complication. When you rewrite the paragraph to include these and their consequences, you just might have a story.

Lochland
When this all started, it was bittersweet. Sneaking any slightly conceivable remark he had the opportunity for; the shifting of linen on leather permeating the occasional, thick silence that suffocated them. Now, though, the only weight that sat heavy in Lochlands chest could be felt across the coffee table sitting between him and his patient. Even though he had made a promise- an oath, others would call it- moments like this pulled at his resolve, testing the seams that held him together, like the erosion of dams built from millennia past. Times where his vexation was easily making him question his choice in profession. He wasn’t hard to anger, and the disgustingly proud grin the other man in the room flashed, was a reminder.
prompt 2592
It's not as if that did you any good.
I had to try.

Subtext Through Sentence Structure in Writing
Ever noticed how a character’s true feelings can be hinted at without them saying a word? That’s the magic of sentence structure—a subtle tool to convey emotions, tension, and subtext in a way that feels natural. It’s all about how you arrange your words. Here’s how you can use it to give your writing extra depth:
1. Anaphora (Repetition for Emphasis)
Anaphora is the repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of successive clauses. It can create a rhythm, emphasize a point, or show a character’s emotional state. It's like a mantra or a sense of growing obsession in thought.
Example: "I can’t do this anymore. I can’t keep pretending. I can’t keep lying to myself."
Here, the repetition of “I can’t” highlights the character’s frustration, their internal conflict, and emotional breakdown. The more it repeats, the more you feel their emotional weight.
2. Asyndeton (Omitting Conjunctions for Speed or Chaos)
Asyndeton is when you deliberately leave out conjunctions (like and, or, but) to create a fast-paced, almost frantic effect. This can be great for moments of tension, confusion, or a character’s overwhelmed state.
Example: "She ran through the streets—pushing past crowds, dodging vendors, barely noticing the rain."
By skipping “and” and breaking up the flow, the reader feels the character’s urgency, the rush of the moment. It mimics the quickness of their thoughts and actions.
3. Choppy, Fractured Sentences for Internal Chaos
When a character is dealing with inner turmoil, sometimes their thoughts don’t flow smoothly. Fractured sentences—choppy, disjointed—can show their disarray or emotional breakdown.
Example: "Why did I do that? What was I thinking? No. No, I—I can’t—I can’t fix this."
This kind of sentence structure mimics the chaotic, fragmented thoughts of someone who’s in distress. The disconnection reflects their internal turmoil.
4. Polysyndeton (Overuse of Conjunctions for Overwhelming Effect)
Polysyndeton is when you overuse conjunctions like “and” or “but,” giving a sentence a heavier, more drawn-out feeling. It can show a character’s exhaustion, hesitation, or even their growing tension as they try to process a situation.
Example: "He wanted to scream, and cry, and punch something, and tear everything apart until it made sense."
The repeated use of “and” here conveys the overwhelming nature of the character’s feelings, as if everything is piling on top of each other, adding to the emotional overload.
5. Ellipsis for Unspoken Thoughts or Tension
Ellipses (the ...) can be used to indicate something unsaid—unfinished thoughts, unspoken tension, or the sense that something is being withheld. This subtle tool adds layers to your writing, letting the reader feel the weight of what’s not said.
Example: "She looked at him... but said nothing."
The silence here speaks volumes. It’s not just that she’s not speaking—it’s the unspoken tension between them that gives this line its emotional weight.
TL;DR:
Anaphora = Repeating for emphasis, building emotional weight.
Asyndeton = Omitting conjunctions to show speed, urgency, or chaos.
Choppy sentences = Fractured thoughts or emotional breakdowns.
Polysyndeton = Overwhelming feelings through too many conjunctions.
Ellipses = Showing subtext through what’s unsaid or withheld.

Green
My poem is about green.
That different kind of green with no need of an introduction
That green that sows and grows seeds of greed in fields stolen from our native families.
Fields ran by man with the plan for more.
More green.
More greed.
More feed for the slaughter house, for the foot by foot cage with mange clad lives, lives wasted.
More of telling us to be neat and act sweet and ignore what we can't see, because the truth is: that green is just the beginning.
Greenhouse gasses responsible for the fall of lives flitting past us, causing the ice and snow to melt and grow the oceans size until when?
Another disaster caused "naturally" but until then they sit in neutrality, not affected because the size of their pockets reflect their ethics.
Its that green we can feel, when at our heels the pain of lost meals reminds us o'our place THEY say we belong.
When we're shivering shaking under blankets cuddled up to family to make what little more heat we have last.
When on our last bit of luck we tuck away the tears and fears of today to think of a better tomorrow, to remind ourselves,
We forget
there is a better shade of green.
A shade already made by the trees, a shade that aids the healing of our hearts, brought by bees that nuzzle atop peonies.
This green has been here since before that green, since before you and before me, a green that heals and doesn't steal or make deals with the evils of humanity.
This green is right under our nose, under our feet, under your seat and only on our luck can we see it.
A community of love and harmony, friends and family locked hand in hand as the forgiving land of our home offers an end.
The end of that green. The end of a societal slaughter, of lives torn apart to be worn as art by those with no heart.
If they saw this green the way they saw that green then maybe they'd appreciate,
See the fiend in themselves, while the planet feeds itself with no help from us.
This green brings anew, heals the place gone askew from the ones that battered it down to drown out the sound of the birds.
This green provides an end to the end.
Its with this green that we can see the means of our futures together.
So when you find yourself wondering for answers or looking for truth in your phone screen, I hope you remember my poem about Green.

Arachnophobia
With eight eyes aligned,
eight eyes are searching
for the demons lurking
rent free inside my mind
and leaving behind an acidic burning.
Since my rights have been denied
so much,
every day I'm learning
that nothing will be right
for a very long time.
Creepy crawly emotions
I swallow down like potions,
and with each swallow it feeds
an unwelcome beast that reads
me like I'm an open book.
Recipes it can use to cook
up more excuses so I can't look
myself in the eyes,
hooked on the lies
that monster inside provides.
Collapsing to my hands and knees ,
will someone please
cut the web
that weaves the dread
that's pounding in my head
and reminding me of times
before mothers death bed,
when I thought I would drop dead
cause her drinking and her drama
gave me all this trauma.
Like gooey yarns of deceipt ,
it cruely shackles the sensitive and
unruly energy of my anxiety,
keeping it caged
and stashed away
for when I think I've gotten better.
When it bubbles up, freed from it's confines
and devours everything,
leaving behind all emotional desguise
like the bodies of flies
shriveled up, half the size,
and it finds
the last one
can I finally be numb ?
