this fandom sooo misogynistic to belly because why is everyone getting mad at her for not immediately choosing conrad.

like we know it wasn't gonna be a happy marriage and the wedding isn't really what belly wants but taylor and steven were so right to get mad at conrad for confessing and asking belly to BE WITH HIM when she has literally been with jeremiah for FOUR YEARS and was days away from getting married to him. belly shouldn't be in the relationship with jeremiah, but it's not because she should be with conrad, it's because belly deserves to be her own person and heal from the insecurity and pain that jeremiah has put her through for four years.

she spent those years pushing down who she was and what she really wanted, only to get cheated on because her feelings were a little complicated and her boyfriend refused to communicate with her about his own feelings. getting with conrad would not have solved that in the slightest. belly is too hurt, and insecure, and unsure about conrad's feelings for her to be able to commit herself to a relationship with him, so getting together with him would've ended terribly and if conrad had been around for those four years HE WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT and would have NEVER asked belly to be with him on the beach. but he wasn't around, which is exactly what steven was mad at him for. he has seen four years worth of his baby sister feeling terrible in her relationship and then conrad waltz in like his presence is going to magically fix her?? i would be insulted too!!! steven wasn't getting mad at him not calling or being around selfishly, he was saying it to get it into conrad's head that when belly said "you don't even know me anymore" on the beach, SHE WAS RIGHT!! he doesn't know her anymore!! he doesn't know what she's like or why she doesn't wanna get married!!! it's not even about conrad, belly just can't deal anymore because of the damage her relationship with jeremiah has done to her, but conrad wasn't around to see that so he has no idea. and he was selfish to think he had every idea.

taylor and steven both telling him "you don't know belly, you are hurting her by telling her how you feel" was a completely correct thing to do. steven and taylor weren't being selfish or mean to conrad, they were doing right by belly by telling a guy who was hurting her to fuck off before he did more damage to her.

in love with the idea of iida hating labubus because they're consumerist horseshit but then he passes one in a store that looks so strikingly like bakugou that he just Has to buy it. like it's not even a conscious choice he just sees it in the store and blinks and suddenly he's bought it.

Kinda needed more of their dynamic. It was so enamoring before season 3. Even then when they actually had an actual conversation I stood up from my chair. Like her reaction to his death? Him not letting himself grieve because of her grief? Hello?

They parallel each other & connect in A LOT of ways so it's a waste and honestly shocking how little they've interacted. The first time that I can remember that they exchanged was literally at the end of this season, and look what we got from that: JackieShauna confirmation. They just showed a microcosm of their power as a duo, imagine if they interacted more, imagine the possibilities.

I think I might actually have to write something where they become trauma besties. Where they open up to each other in a way they do to no one else but also conflict with each other. I actually desperately need them to interact more. I fear that it might fix me.
