I never thought I’d ever say it but…

I’d take these designs a million times over the final reboot designs. Because these weren’t AI generated. The timeline wouldn’t add up for them to be. These have value. These are actual designs. There’s thought and meaning and purpose.

I could talk about how they readjust the magic winx design rules to use blooms as a firm visual base!

How they swapped flora and Stellas wings.

How charmix was made a default transformation element.

How bloom and Stella swap outfit styles while properly adjusting them to fit their personalities.

How they took the concept of blooms tiara and gave each winx a unique one to create a natural sense of design consistency!

But with the final designs?

I’ve tried multiple times to make that kind of post talking about the final reboot designs but… every time I give up.

Because I know Ai was heavily used. And I don’t know where and when the use of it starts and ends. So there’s nothing for me to say.

There’s no point to pointing out any potential design elements and there meaning. Because there likely wasn’t any. The journey the designers could’ve taken is completely cut out.

And since my special interest is primarily in character design? That cuts off my way to engage with what’s given. Even if I was to ignore the massive ethical issues of Ai. Which I’m not going to.

Are the prototype designs perfect? No. But they had an actually definable amount of effort put in.

Something i can’t say about the final ones.

Yes, I know we are included in the original flag. I prefer the Gilbert Baker flag myself for its history and aesthetics and I feel it represents me as an intersex person. But this isn't about personal preference.

You do NOT know how many people know what intersex means because they asked why that flag was put there. That's people who might've never asked that question. That direct representation of us DOES matter. It DOES help us. And your aesthetic preferences are not a good reason to get rid of a direct refrence to intersexuality in one of our broadly used queer community symbols.

I think I don't need to dive more into it, y'all are aware of the genAI use in the winx reboot, but having to see half of the winx fandom praising this souless cash grab and becoming genuinely vile and hostile toward people who told them about the AI situation hurts even more than these news.

As for me, I won't watch or support the Winx reboot. I've waited for 4 years all for being shitted on by big corporations who cares only for money than passion and care. As I said in this video, keep creating, no matter what, you will always be better than AI "art".

Nani wanted to be pro surfer sure, hell she had trophies and shit for it, but it never was more important to her than HER ONLY LITTLE SISTER. THAT'S FUCKING WHY HER SURFER STUFF IN BACKGROUND AND NEVER MENTIONED, BECAUSE SHE CARES ABOUT LILO MORE! I'm not saying she should abandon her passion, no! But leaving Lilo behind goes against the very CORE of her character!

Original Nani was so great because she was so loving, selfless and brave despite everything. Never does she ever act like Lilo's weirdness is a problem that needs to be fixed.

I need to emphasize this for people defending live action Nani, as eldest with two younger sisters, NANI'S LOVE FOR LILO WAS NEVER A BURDEN TO HER.

Sure, she sacrificed a lot for Lilo! But does she ever complain, blame Lilo, or take it out on her? No! She truly loved her little sister and would rather fucking die, than even CONSIDER Lilo being a burden, HELL THERE'S SEVERAL SCENES WHERE SHE MAKES SURE LILO DOESN'T FEEL LIKE AN OUTCAST.

Bitch it's a story about found family with aliens, who gives a shit about realism?!

And while we're at it the "this ending is so realistic is good" can go fuck itself bc fictional world DOES NOT ABIDE BY REALISM RULES, it's existence is to defy those!

People who cheer Nani for abandoning her sister to pursue a career never had siblings. Nani didn't take care of Lilo out of obligation, she did it because she fucking loves her little sister, as simple as that! If I was in Nani's situation I'd do the same! CPS could try to pry my little shits of siblings from my cold dead fingers, I ain't giving them up, and idc IF they're lucky enough to be placed in a good home, they're my fucking family.

Nani was my role model after I rewatched Lilo and Stitch several times with my sisters who adored the movie. Nani was the only female character I can remember that resonated so much with me. I didn't think about her all the time, but the moments I remembered her were filled with thoughts "I wish I was as good a sister as Nani was".

So yeah. Movie never happened.

There's no Lilo and Stitch remake in Ba Sing Se.

P.s. the idea they had for "Older sibling has a dream but can't pursue it due to having to take care of younger sibling" could work, it's kinda interesting but NOT WITH NANI. She's just everything opposite about this plotline.
