I have just finished designing the character sheets for my OSR-Inspired TTRPG, "Obelisk". I'm sure some of you are wondering why it takes such a vertical layout, what are those little windows on the character sheet, or even better still-- what the hell is the Misfortune System? You'll have to follow and stay tuned to find out~ The game features a rich noble-dark setting with a ruined planet with scattered wealth viciously fought over by kings, despots, and those desperate enough to claim something as their own. You're no king or bandit lord yourself though, you're merely someone who is fed up with the way things are, discarded by society as a pariah, a traitor, a madman, or even a fugitive from the powers that be. How can someone like you ever hope to change a hopeless world? Playtesting begins Late April.

Little snippet of a WIP I'm doing for someone, can't show the whole thing because it might ruin the surprise for someone, so this is all ye get! Having a genuine blast with this one, especially after learning how to more properly do fur/hair the way I want to.

As a child, I received my first set of D&D books for my birthday at age 12, my whole family pitched in to get me each core book for 3.5e.

I grew up incredibly poor so this was a BIG deal to scrape together almost $200 for some goddamn books. The day I received them quite literally set a trajectory for my life filled with creativity and instilled in me the importance telling stories has in our lives and in society at large.

I'm nearly 30 now and slain some monsters of my own, and couldn't be more grateful for the thoughtful gifts my family managed to come together to get me in my formative years. 🖤

A little snippet of a reference sheet I'm working on for yours truly, deciding to post it as a bit of a WIP of sorts-- "Morior" as he is called is a fallen angel that hunts monsters for mortals and resists the mandate of heaven as well as the ambitions of his brother Lucifer. He seeks to do good in the world of men but without the constraints of his father's will and the blind devotion his brother has to power for power's sake. He used to look up to the both of them for different reasons, but you know what they say about getting to know your heroes..
