you hang up as you hear his steps near your door. “hey ma” “hey con” you watch as he takes off his sweater and puts his keys down climbing into bed next to you. “how was your day?” you ask as he burrows into the crook of your neck, wrapping his arms around you placing his hands at the small of your back.

“boring, i missed you. so does prince, why dont you just come live with us?” you hear the pout in his hushed voice. “ connie we have discussed this before, we are still early in our relationship and we both need our own spaces. i can sleep over tomorrow night if you’d like?”

“yes please” he says in a baby voice. you laugh at him. “ how was your day ma?” you take a deep breath “ i did 5 clients and 12 sets of press ons, really busy” he peppers kisses all over your neck “proud of you” you hum in acknowledgment as you both drift off to sleep.

your living your dream life; moving out of your apartment and getting a house, nothing too bug just something to fit you and your 2 dogs, working out to look better snd feel better about yourself and starting on the journey to better your mental health.

your manager and team have finally decided its time for you to have your first concert. you got to choose where it would be.

you were nervous and excited! these is a new chapter in your life sure you’ve done openers but your very own concert?? this is crazy.

brushing iff your outfit and fixing your hair hair one last time before you step out on stage. the moment you made your way to the middle the lights were blinding but once your eyes got used to it you could see everyone.

cheering your name with signs and pictures it was surreal. you were performing your very last song when you see him. you see him but he looks different, he’s not wearing his puffer or his messed up jordans. he’s wearing a sweater?? and a whole outfit.

you cant ignore the feeling of want and missing him. its been almost 2 years ; he’s always been in the back of your mind you couldn’t deny it and those last words he told you. that he wanted to change for you. did he really change? for you? really?

the concert came to an end it was a success. people gave you gifts and flowers you loved it all. just then someone knocked on your dressing room door.

“come in!” you calm in a loving tone before spinning your chair to see who it is. you were shocked to say the least.

it was miles standing with a big bouquet of your favorite flowers. you felt your heart melt a bit. “miles” he gives you an awkward smile “hey” he says scratching his neck”

you stare at him, you’ve missed him so much and the fact that he changed just for you? so he wouldn’t loose you? thats how much he loved you he was proving it to you, just like he said.

you missed him, the moment you broke up with him you wanted him back, you couldn’t just forget all the memories you made with him. there was no way it was going to happen.

“miles, are you being serious?” your eyes filled with tears. he felt anxious he knew how things ended and he knew what he did wrong.

you couldn’t help but let them fall as you give him a hug. he changed himself so he could be with you again? you expected him to just move on by now.

“im sorry about how we left everything, i know i could have been better to you, you didn’t deserve it. can you find it in your heart to forgive me?” he asks speaking into your hair as he hoods you tighter. “ of course miles ive missed you so much” you say through tears.

you have only been able to think about your last reaction with them. was that the last time you would talk? will yoi ever be friends again? are they ok? why couldn’t i have been a better friend? it plagued tour mind, flying above you like a storm cloud. you wanted to talk with them but how could you? there was nothing you could think of to fix this mess.

you were sitting in your room watching a movie when you hear a quite nock on your door. absentmindedly you call “come in” you didnt even turn to see who it was. “ hey” you heard behind you causing confusion. your parents never say “hey” and the voice was oddly familiar? you turn to see miles and mylo standing with a plastic bag in hand.

all you could do was stare “ could we talk?” miles asked. you were still caught off guard so you simply nodded pausing the movie and sitting up. the both take a seat on the edge of the bed. you sat in silence for what felt like forever till you heard mylo sigh “ im sorry for jumpin to a conclusion the way i did, i felt the a jerk the moment i left. you onyl wanted us to past with the best score and if miles could have helped i should have been open to the idea. im sorry” he says sincerely gazing into your eyes searching for what you could have been feeling.

“ im so sorry as well i had no right to say that, i was upset and i just didn’t know how to deal with my emotions i didn’t mean to upset you, or take it out on you could you forgive me, forgive us?”

The break up wasn't too messy but it hurt a ton. you were very serious about your career and he knew that. you broke up with him, and you didn’t give him a lame excuse like wanting to focus on your music. he was wi5 you from the very beginning and you always had time for him. it got to the point where he wasn’t making time for you.

he would skip dates for work, wouldn’t call or text for days . he even went on a week trip without even bothering to let you know. not even his own mother knew, you were worried waiting for him until out of the blue he called.

about an hour later he shows up at your door.

“ no! miles i cant, we cant..” he knows and you know where this is going “miles, i cant do this anymore, you are never around, you don’t text or call. i feel like.. like you don’t love me anymore.” the tears start welling in your eyes. he reaches for you trying to console you but you back away.

“ miles we both know sorry isn’t going to fix this” you say wiping your tears and looking away from him.

“i think we need to…to” he sighs. “ you know i will always love you right? forever you were the girl that knew me from the beginning and always stayed by my side and put up will all of this.” stammering as the tears starting to roll down his face.

this is the first time you’ve seen him cry and it breaks you, it really does, but you guys cant go back. the damage has been done its too late.

“miles please, go” you say as your eyes start to release the tears you’ve been holding back.

“ ok, please keep everything, don’t forget me. ill change and ill come back and treat you better than i ever have and anyone ever will.” he says sniffling as he turns and walks down the hall, out the doors and out of your life.
