My entire childhood I wanted so desperately to have a pet lizard. They are a special interest of mine, and I even wanted to become a herpetologist for about six of those years. But I was never allowed to, and they were overtly prohibited from entering the house.

Now, living with my partner/cg, I still can’t quite believe I have THREE lizards, of two different species. When I have a bad day, or simply want company, they sit on my shoulder/lap/arms or explore nearby. I rarely do school work without a lizard on my laptop or sleeping on my desk.

far from being resigned to their presence, my daddy dotes upon them. He handles them so gently, knows all their favorite treats, and even has pictures of them in his office at work :)

I am so grateful for fanfiction as an outlet.

I can pour an absolute abyss of thoughts and feelings into narrative form and then some people actually read and like it?! It’s just so touching, particularly when I write about age regression, chronic illness, or mental struggles.

AND I can explore those topics through/with comfort media.

AND it's also a hobby I can do from my beanbag, even when feeling unwell. I love fanfic

After all, no one has ever survived this particular procedure before. But Silco vows to find a solution, no matter the cost. In the meantime, there is nothing he can do but comfort her; as if the tenderness of his embrace might drain the poison from her veins.
