Kinda fucked up that we all coo and sympathize with "former gifted kids" but never talk about the students who had to stay late after school or over the summer for remedial classes/clubs, who struggled to get above a C, who were given up on or punished. Who tried so hard to understand or just couldn't. Who were grouped with the "stupid kids" (a classmate called us that in remedial math btw)

Autistic kids and adhders who can't relate to their gifted peers and are constantly alienated by them. Kids who struggled in school due to dealing with a chronic or mental illness or physical/learning/developmental disability. Those of us who have had to drop out of highschool or college. Kids who worked so hard and wanted to be seen as smart, but never were. Who watched as their peers seem to fly by them in school, while they were left behind. Who were bullied and put down by those in the gifted and honors classes. Whose confidence was absolutely destroyed by education.

I love you all and I'm so sorry the school system failed you. I'm sorry you weren't properly accommodated and given the education you deserved. I'm sorry people put you down for something that they never had to fight for.

ive never seen rabies irl as its very very rare where i live but even then i would never touch a wild animal (mainly more to do with the fact its still stupid and dangerous even without a risk of rabies)

also a reminder its not just racoons and foxes that can get rabies EVERY MAMMAL CAN GET IT (minus 1 type of rodent i think??? still dont touch it) rabies isnt always obvious but its still terrifying and deadly and possibly the worst way to go out. no seriously go look at videos of rabies victims its horrifying.

dont let wild animals near u. report any strange behaviour even if it doesnt seem like a big deal. report stray pets. keep wild animals out of ur home. if u come into contact with an animal go to a doctor. teach ur kids not to go near strays and wild animals (u should do that anyway regardless). avoid eating roadkill.

sorry if i’m being a party pooper but because rabies is apparently the new joke on here ??? please remember that rabies has an almost 100% fatality rate after symptoms develop so if you’re bitten or scratched by an animal that you aren’t 100% sure is vaccinated then GO TO A DOCTOR. it’s not a joke. really.

such a coincidence that alot of 'minor coded' characters r also commonly headcanoned/viewed as autistic. its almost as if they view autism as 'childish' and 'immature' and therefore view autistic and autistic coded characters as 'minor coded' due to those views.

well guess what fuckers! autistic people can be adults with adult lives who have relationships and have sex like most other adults. we r not 'pure' or 'innocent' we r people with a disability who just want to live our lives.

'minor coded' is definitely not just rooted in ableism probably more comes from kids wanting to relate to a character and taking headcanons too seriously but i feel like its too much of a coincidence to ignore.

Queer and neurodivergent coding exists as a direct result of censorship in the industry. There’s stigma around being queer and neurodivergent and companies don’t want to deal with backlash over “going woke”.

There is no stigma, at all, around characters being underage or siblings.

It’s one thing to just see two characters as siblings in a found family way, that isn’t my problem. My problem is when you make things up and use it to harass people.

Underage headcanons for characters that have no confirmed one is a very slippery slope and some of you rocket yourselves down the slope at mach 6.

Yes, fiction ≠ reality, but your ableism towards fictional characters can and will reflect on you as a person. Just like how being homophobic or transphobic to fictional characters will reflect on you.

hot take of my own. i do not believe selfshipping is proshipping because most folks in the community are ficto, therefore making selfshipping a byproduct of human sexuality and not something that can be claimed by an ideology such as proshipping. people have been, without a term for it itself, been selfshipping as early as the written language was made. unfortunately though last time i said that on my main account, i was harassed and told i wasn't a real proshipper for having a different opinion on this (because obviously, you cannot disagree with your own community. sarcasm.)
