This poll was brought thanks to the support of the people from the Bad End Friends Discord server. If you want to discuss the poll, share art, or simply talk about cartoons and characters you like, you're more than welcome. The drawings shared on the server will be shared when announcing the winners. You can also use the Official Tier List of this year's poll to share who you want to win (or who you don't want to win). You can post it with the 2025 poll tag and tag this blog if you want it to be reblogged (same if you create art related to the poll, which is more than welcome).

What exactly are Bad End Friends?

"BEF" is a pretty old AU that used to collect (as its name says) Bad Ends from animated series, and all of these would be friends. Later on, other characters would be introduced, and it would depend a lot on who you ask about what is considered a Bad End Friend or not. For simplicity's sake, this poll tries to collect various characters from different media who had a tragic ending.

Is this poll based on "who would win in a fight"?

No, this is a popularity poll. Feel free to vote for the character you like the most. Each character this year comes with a small sheet with information, so if you don't know a character, feel free to look it up here or click on their name for more context.

How does the "lethality rating" system work?

It is based on how further characters went in the poll, those who didn't pass the first rounds have less stars than those who passed.

Propaganda like advertising on other social media or reblogging with drawings or more context about the character you're supporting is more than allowed. Just don't fight too much about it; it's just a popularity contest between fictional characters, not a life-or-death situation.

My brain is having brain worms over Beast Wirt and if Beast is also still around for some reason, he gets a new title/"name" and it's The Pup or The Fawn, maybe not that actually but something similar, The Sprout could also work.

Brain is just braining and I think you'd enjoy some of my lil thoughts, like Beast being more plant than animal, while Wirt is more animal than plant. Two halves of a forest kinda, the Beast being the flora while Wirt being the fauna.

It's also just kinda funny to imagine Wirt getting deer legs and naturally thinking, "hmm, well it is the Unknown, probably normal" while Beast is standing in the background just, "why the FUCK did his legs change, What" along with general shenanigans of Beast and Wirt becoming reluctant parent and child dynamic victims, Wirt being privy to Beast's private life, and Wirt being a lil weirdo much to Beasts confusion and occasional worry.

Id like to apologize for not answering this ask back in January but you did give me the idea of pure flora and pure fauna beast wirt!

Question: How would Woodsman Wirt be with Beast Wirt? At first it would be normal, no?

Well- you see, there are a lot of versions of beast wirt! And some of them had different personalities, and since they have different personalities, that could give us different dynamics!

Generic Beast!Wirt is basically a compilation of all the general characteristics most people usually give him, like being tall, serious and having the Beast's antlers. At least, this is the common patron I have been seeing.

At first, Hunter would be horrifying

It would be more of the fact that he usually doesn't see other mythical beings like the Beast. But imagine meeting another version of yourself who looks not really human, and worst, he looks like your abusive father . Hunter thinks he is a beast already, just he doesn't look similar to the beast because he is "a different kind of beast" (His way to say he is a horrible person)

Seeing beast Wirt would be a reflection of himself... And he hates reflections

Tho, it scares him at first because even if he admires the Beast, he doesn't want to be him, not at all.

Now we have some other Wirts!

Hunter manipulating a humble and innocent Beast Wirt who is genuinely good

But since Hunter hates people who have a better life than him, he would do anything to make them feel miserable just as him, or worse.

Hunter suffers the guilt but thanks to the beast he finds conformt in the misery from others

But seeing another version of him who got it worse, it proves to him that not everything was that bad, that he doesn't suck that much

Tho he can be sympathized to them.

If Beast Wirt would help him, and (as the beast did) take the role of an adult figure in his life, then Hunter would be a loyal follower of them (Like he did with the Beast)

This is my personal favorite; THE DUO WHO CAN'T STAND EACH OTHER

Hunter and Beast Wirt nearly tolerate themselves, they DISPATE each other. Hunter does it because he is jealous that Beast has friends even in a worse state than his, and Beast doesn't like him because Hunter doesn't treat him well neither

But instead of fighting each other, they just made sarcastic and nasty comments to each other to express their hate for each other other

But... Hunter is ignorant of how bad Beast Wirt has it. He wouldn't realize until it was too late

Hunter sees someone he used to know, being consumed entirely by the unknown itself. No return back, no way home, only a twisted creature of the person he used to be

And not only that... Hunter sees

The most realistic mirror of his own mind.

How much he lost by now, and wondering in horror how much he would lose now. Beast Wirt is this... creature who seems to be only in dreams, nightmares, even sometimes in the same room, but a thing that doesn't stop remaining.

Beast Wirt being this elegant and superior being who doesn't stand this rat (Hunter) screaming and vaging through his garden

Hunter tries to talk with him all angry and loud but Beast Wirt just simply ignoring him, he has more important things to do.

Aaaaaa thank you so much for the concern, I currently feel much better and am now back and locked in to continue this blog :D This blog will also be used as like, a daily art challenge for myself, and maybe also warm up sketches. but anything to keep it alive and well :D
